Your video is interesting and informative. I wonder though, why you don't take a simple angle grinder and cut the basket off the long tined rake you like best (you could also use it to sharpen the sides of the tines you pull through the sand towards you), and why you don't use the angle grinder to re-shape the shovel to whatever width, or roundness you prefer? It should only take a few minutes, and your tools would be custom modified to your specifications. Happy clamming, and good luck to you.
