MyCupcakeAddiction So many ideas!! I'd make a Spiraled layered cake LOL i know what i mean.. but you cut the cakes in triangles and then slightly off centre them..as they spiral around :D
Oooh if I was to make a layer cake, it would be for my mom when I go to visit her for Christmas! I don't get to see her that often so I would love to go home and make her a cake-- probably something to do with peanut butter since she loves anything peanut butter! I'm envisioning a light vanilla sponge cake with peanut butter icing in between.
If I made a layer cake it would be a Halloween themed cake with each layer having a different monster motif inside as well as around the outside of the cake. probably use Orange and black and make a mix of Vanilla and chocolate cake.
I recently made my layered cake idea come to life! I made a poker themed three tiered cake for a 50th birthday. I am so grateful for all the tips and tricks I've learned on your channel. Watching you gives me the confidence to create my own awesome edible masterpieces :D
Perfect timing, I had purchased these tins a few weeks ago and only the other day used them to make a gorgeous layer cake, this will be the next one. Fun fun fun.
This video made my day! I purchased the five layer cake pans a few weeks ago and I had no idea what to do with them besides cake. Thanks so much for the suggestions!
What a wonderful cake! This is simply amazing! That new set of pans is genius! I'd love to make different layers of ice cream with special treats inside. Can't go wrong!
An earth layer cake would be awesome! Have a different color for the core, mantle, and crust! Great cake for kids to learn and eat! Love this video! I'm also a fan of Lion King!
When I was a kid , about 100 years ago, I would have loved this cake. It is a great looking cake Elise :) To put my age in perspective, Snow White and Cinderella were brand new movies!! lol.
Awesome idea with the buttercream sunset!! I'd love to make a 1st birthday cake for my niece that would have chocolate and pink swirled cake layers with chocolate frosting between them. It would then be covered in pink buttercream with a large chocolate "1" on the top - it'll look like a boring ordinary cake until you cut into it!
Because we are in fall I think a fall-flavored layered cake would be a great idea. Something with pumpkin . I think I would do a pumpkin cake on the first and last layer, second and fourth layers with a spice cake and then a plain cheesecake layer in the middle. And frost it all with a pumpkin spice buttercream or a cream cheese buttercream, yum!
I loved it! Lion King was 1 of my favorites too. I also love those pans! Makes baking layered cakes SO much easier and not very time consuming! I would use them to make my boys a rainbow cake :)
Love love love this tutorial ! If I had these pans I'd defiantly make a six layered chocolate cake with lots of different chocolate fillings and decorations yum
I think you can do all sorts of flavors, would probably come in handy for the rainbow cake or any blending tone. I would probably make chocolate and strawberry alternating layer, covered by chocolate ganache and fresh strawberries on top!
Jessica Menjivar your right, The colour and flavour combinations available when using these pans is virtually unlimited! :-) Your only limited by your imagination!
I like the idea of a cake that when you cut it open it's checkered like a chess board with two different colours, I'm not sure if this is classed as a layer cake but I just love it
SO many ideas come to mind with that new Wilton set, Olympic cake(Each circle next to each other shaping the symbol), pumpkin cake (cut the cake in a circle, like a beach ball) Ombre cake, Rainbow cake, castle cake, Neapolitan cake, monster high dress cake, hunger game fire cake or even a divergent symbol cakes (5 cakes in a circle). Wow, the possibilities are endless with this eaasy tim set. Great job Elise that Lion King cake was wonderful.
Loved this cake !! I made a full size one for my friends birthday ! They say the love my work but it was your idea!!! Thank you so so so much you saved me again ...it was a show stopped the colors are gorgeous
i would use the pans to make a mini skittle rainbow layered cake, the pans seem so convenient! you could probably even use them to make a little tower for a castle cake
I'd love it if you did some kind of adventure time tutorial, I never knew why people loved it, so I decided to watch it one day... And I've been hooked ever since. I love your tutorials and ideas , I'm doing professional cookery at college and I prefer the baking side and your channel really inspires me 3
I would do sunset coloured layers and add in the centre of the cake a palm tree silhouette in black or maybe a building so when you cut into the cake, everyone gets a silhouette picture in their cake :)
Ooohhh, endless possibilities! I love rainbow-cakes! Right now, I'm thinking about something Nightmare-before-Christmas-inspired for our opening-day party in october, though...
Layer Cake Idea?! More like a surprise inside - circle of colour (similar to leopard print cake) but in bright colours. Giving it a funfetti cake sort of effect :) Love those tins!
I love making layered cakes I make rainbow ones alot I tend to cut each layer into 3 then you can repeat the colours and it makes a really nice tall cake to decorate too, definitely going to give this cake a go though I love lion king xxx
All those animal prints remind me of my mom. She loves them so much! 😊 It's her birthday today so I'll send her the link to this video as I won't be able to make such an amazing cake for her because we live too far away from each other... Thanks for this tutorial, you're a genius! 😃👍
I would love it if you made something related to adventure time. I wondered why why so many people loved it, so I decide to watch it one day and ... I've been hooked ever since. I love your channel and blog, i'm taking professional cookery lv 2 at college, I'm more into the baking side and your channel really inspires me. YOU ARE AWESOME 3
I would imagine it as like a maze on the bottom layer and the title on another and I haven't thought of one for the top but I bet you can make something like that. You can make anything that looks amazing!
I love all of your videos, so imaginative and inspiring. I think I would make a vintage inspired ditsy sponge with tiny fondant flowers and maybe a water colour style green, something similar to what you have done with this. Once again I love watching your videos, just like to say thank you so much for sharing
I think a good idea for using those you could make a really awesome Disney princess layer cake and each layer could have a color corresponding to the princess! Also, this cake looked amazing!
This cake is awesome!! It makes me wanna dance around singing Hakuna Matata!! LOL It is beautiful Elise!!! I might see about making this cake for my best friend's birthday! She would absolutely love it!
Wow! I love this and would love to try this recipe! I think a great idea to use this would be an American flag cake ( I made one before but it was hard as I only had one pan the same size). Another idea would be perhaps a rainbow cake- the colors would probably also look as beautiful as this one!
this is actually a great idea for our lion king themed play yaaay! 😅😊😃😄😊☺😀 , thanks Elise your so creative and genius it's gonna be tough to bake this!
My homecoming is this week and our theme is Disney! I wish I would've known about this cake sooner this week! If I did I would've made it for one of my classes!
Since I've been re-reading my favorite book, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, a layer cake kind of space-themed would be awesome! You could use the zebra/tiger print technique with blue and yellow and white to make "galaxies" and the leopard/cheetah print technique to make stars!!! And then multicolored frosting with blues and yellows and whites and then dots of yellow for galaxies and stars would be beautiful! Thanks so much for all your amazing videos!
haha your baking skills are amazing! and of course your cakes too.. I watch your videos but i dont really watch to make a cake, i just watch because its AWESOME
Thank God I made a big cake yesterday! Not as fancy as yours of course :P just a plain one-tier vanilla sponge cake with half white chocolate and dark chocolate ganache frosting :)
I'm about to start on a Littlest Petshop themed cake for my daughter's 8th birthday and I wish I knew this pan set existed a week ago so I could have looked for it. I bake and decorate all of her cakes and occasionally for friends and family so I am always on the hunt for tools and tips that will not only make the job easier but add a surprise or twist to the final product. I'm in love with your animal print cakes and will have to give this a try! This go around I'll be alternating ordinary layers of chocolate and white cake by her request. I plan to go a bit over the top with fondant and gum paste on the decorating phase. I like to work something new into each cake so gum paste will be my adventure this go around.
I LOVE THE LION KING! It came out perfect. The colors are beautiful and the design is awesome! I'd like the pans for a pumpkin cake and cheesecake layers! Fall flavors!! :-) yum!
layered cake, i'd love it to be stitch themed! like beachy with that sunset colors replaced with the oceany colors and the surf boards and his ears poking out. lol, because, i love stitch and that's something i think you haven't done, or to my knowledge atleast! :) and yes! i love this lion king idea! it's so awesome how you work with batter!
I would love to make a pink and yellow zebra styled cake with a light pink buttercream for my little cousin's birthday. Thank you so much for this idea!
I think an ombre cake! It would be quite easy just to tint each layer a slightly different shade! Or I would use it for sports teams! Color the batter the main colors of your favorite sports teams and invite your friends over to watch them play and enjoy the cake! YUM!
(Pardon if my English isn't good , it isn't my mother tongue) If I were to bake a layer cake. It'd be in a half sphere shape , The outer layer would be covered with a thin coat of caramel. As you cut into the cake , the caramel will leave a satisfying crunch . Tingling your taste buds. What lies beneath the crunchy exterior , are 3 layers of moist cake , each with its distinctive flavors. Chocolate , Vanilla and Pandan (Google it , it's a Malaysian leaf / flavoring that smells really nice) . In the middle , lays a small crunchy heart shaped Oreo (I ran out of ideas sorry , I just woke up OTL) . The first bite leaves you wanting for more , so you took a second bite , a third , a forth. In the midst of eating , you have failed to notice a mysterious figure closing the distance between you and him. He raises his knife and stabs you , you fell off of your chair in pain and looked up at the figure , tears rolling down your cheeks. 'Why...?' He takes the half eaten cake and said , 'Buy your own cake you noob.' And walked away , feeling fabulous.
This is an amazing set! A real good idea would be an army print layer cake. It can be accomplishes with similar techniques as the animal print, just change up the colors. Good luck to all of the contestants! 😊
These would've been AMAZING for my daughter birthday cake last year when I did a rainbow layer cake. I baked 5 separate cakes to do it. Also, I would LOVE to do a Neapolitan Icecream inspired cake. Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry Layers, maybe even an actual icecream layer between the cake layers. Though I can see it being used for so many coloured/flavours mixed cake layers.
Amazing! 😍 love your ideas. My suggestion for layered cake, try the earth. Start from the ground through the sky. (5 could be, brown for the ground, green the grass, blue the sky) Can you make a cloud on the technique that you use to make leopard? Its seems a good idea. The earth layered cake☺
Creative as always! What a great take on the Lion King theme.
***** Thanks guys!
A movie favourite, how to make, bake and decorate a layer cake all in one video!

One of my favorite movies as well. You captured it very well in your cake design ;)
If I made a layer cake it would be a Halloween themed cake with each layer having a different monster motif inside as well as around the outside of the cake. probably use Orange and black and make a mix of Vanilla and chocolate cake.
