  • We've been following a troubling trend of owner-surrendered animals and strays across San Antonio. On Sunday, a group of rescue organizations held a town hall to brainstorm a solution.

You can't blame loose stray animals on a lack of veterinarians. You can keep a dog that isn't spayed or neutered from breeding. I'd blame this on irresponsible owners who let their dogs roam or dump them. And now, with inflation hitting the roof, many won't be able to afford to buy dog food, let alone pay to have their animal sterilized so what happens? They dump them. So is their a shortage of veterinarians in all of Texas? Responsible owners who love their animals will find a way to get care for them.

The S E side here in San Antonio is pathetic. They get a dog then a week later they're roaming the streets. These violators get away with it over & over...

Omg visiting from DC and we have come across Soo many strays. It makes you not want to walk your dog at certain times. J just came across two of them and had to pull and deter my little Shihpoo from growling or barking. Thankfully the strays kept waking the opposite direction
