Like you Squirrel... man tears at this end too. Thanks for the reaction.
More Bocelli for sure. Thank You John
Is there anything more beautiful
I am not normally a big opera lover. But I love this song & the amazing talent of Andrea Bocelli & Sarah Brightman. She was married for a time to composer Andrew Lloyd Webber & was the lead in his Broadway musical "Phantom Of The Opera".
Terrific reaction. Well said and you could see it on your face.
Yes she was also steadying him by touching him. He was just starting to perform before thousands of people that he couldnt see. Imagine standing in front of a mic that he couldnt see and hang on to for support.
Always loved this
His range is spectacular
Tony , sarah has come along way over the years i remember seeing her on Top of the Pops in 1978 with Hot Gossip singing " I lost my heart to a starship trooper " . At the time i thought to myself she's a pop star in the making , but little did i know then that she was destined for the stage in musical theatre and opera . 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Amazing...filmed at the Royal Albert Hall London.
Andrea Bocelli is blind and one of the world's best opera singers. Sarah Brightman started out in a dance group then married Andrew Lloyd Webber and was the first 'Christine' in his musical 'Phantom of the Opera' alongside Michael Crawford.
Perfection. Heaven. Try Running live by Sarah Brightman. Much love.😊
Montserrat and Freddie mercury singing Barcelona is amazing to react to 👏👏 great reaction as always 👍👏👏
Love this Squirrel. I think you would love Andrea Bocelli dueting with Ed Sheeran in his song Perfect. 👏🏻👏🏻🐿️🏴
Awwwsoem Thank You I’ll try it
Very beautiful ❤and so glad you got out with the wife 😃💜🌹😽💋
Right up there on their playlist of songs for funerals. I like Sarah Brightnam have for a long time Try listening to her sing Pie Jesu nothing compares in my mind to the purity of her voice in this piece
Great reaction to a one of the best duets in history. I'm so happy , that you watched it from beginning to end... no interruptions. Sadly, many stop the video... to blab on...losing the entire essence of the piece. You did it justice. And just so you know... MOST people misinterpret this song... as a "sad song". But w/out doing a literal translation down your page... it is not a sad song but a happy piece.
In essence: The song is about the hardships that the two of them faced.. the ups and downs... but they both realized, that to be together and start their journey of love and happiness... it was
Time to Say Goodbye, to all that hindered them... and to forge ahead for a bright future.
Thank You for your kind words. I think it’s important not to interior the music
👏👏 I’m so happy you got around to playing this one, awesome, Thank you. A recent song from Andrea Bocelli and Cecilia Bartoli “Pianissimo” Just tears me up every time , please check it out. Thanks ❤
So... my neighbors now are sure i am home lol, cannot listen to this on low volume.
Yes Andrea is blind but he is like Stevie Wonder, a prodigal musician who feels the music and acts upon it to create greatness, i've been a fan of him and his beautiful voice for decades.
And Sarah was a similar story for me, up till this song i was impressed with her skills but it did not click on a personal level yet, but this song changed all that and i now absolutely adore her and her voice, just look at how she cuddles Andrea a couple of times in the video, and those are not just stage cuddles, these are real in showing how much she loves him.
I wont mind one bit of you go down the Andrea rabbit-hole a bit, or maybe some works by the 3 tenors (Pavarotti, Domingo, Carrera) who actually scored hits in the 90's with their songs.
There's a few artists who i'd love to see featured some day, but with the obscurity of some of them, viewer counts will be (very) low sadly.
That said, i ofc am going to toss a few names out from different genre's for you to check out in private.. or in a reaction video (with pre-knowledge it likely wont get many views).
So here goes :
Miriam Makeba (Mamma Africa, lots to her story, sings in several langauges including English and Xhosa, the "clicking language")
Fela Anikulapo Kuti (Fela Kuti Afro Fusion Jazz, like Miriam he was a political freedom fighter)
Wishbone Ash (far less obscure, big name in 70's British rock music with Prog influences)
Blue Cheer (Southern Prog Rock, let's say, Creedence Clearwater Revival on LSD)
Linton Kwesi Johnson (Reggae Poet/activist)
Mutabaruka (Reggae Poet/activist)
Sam & Dave (far less obscure, this is real Soul/Rhythm and Blues)
Otis Redding (absolutely not obscure, one of the biggest names in Soul/R&B)
Albert King (King of Blues)
John Lee Hooker (Prince of Blues ;) )
And ofc i cant help listing too many as per usual.. ah well, it is what it is ;)
Greets Squirrel!
You might also enjoy The Flower Duet, sung by Sabine Devieilhe and Marianne Crebassa. It's a stunning performance.
Beautiful song. You should check out Andrea Bocelli singing Nessun Dorma at Leicester City when they won the Premier League in 2015/16
Andrea Bocelli lost his sight as a result of two separate accidents as a child/teenager (football impact / detached retina I think)
🤩
Thank you Squirrel for using full screen to display this incredible performance! Lets us enjoy and appreciate this wonderful performance even more. To me, this has got to be the very finest live performance I've ever seen. Bocelli, and especially Sarah Brightman, plus the great orchestration, the arrangement, the musicianship, all resulting in (as far as I can tell) a perfect performance.
I'll be looking at more of your reactions, I look forward to it.
P.S.: another great (fun) performance is 'Pink Martini' doing "Brasil". Here's one version:

Thank You saved it to check out
It’s an Italian name, so the stress should be on the E (“Andréa”).
Such a shame that Andrea Boccelli is blind. I've heard it said though, that when you lose one sense, another talent improves massively - in Bocelli's case his voice.
I thought you’d like that one Tony……👍🏻
Good morning
ou do realiza that anrea is blind and has been blind since age 12. check out his duet with his son:Fall on Me
