Zoom-in on NGC 3344

This video zooms in on the spiral galaxy NGC 3344, about 20 million light-years away from the Earth. The footage begins with a view of the night sky in the direction of the constellation of Leo Minor, as seen from the ground. It then zooms through observations from the Digitized Sky Survey 2, and ends with a view of the galaxy obtained with the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope.

There are several NGC galaxies in this field, but at their size and at this resolution they are indistinguishable from stars.

Is it possible to see her with the naked eye? I and one more friends observed it today, 05/05/2018. we noticed a star of reddish color that changed shape and color, we used the SKYVIEW app to identify it and found that it was NGC3344.

It has a magnitude of 10.5. Best naked eye limit is around 6. I wish that could be possible especially for dim galaxies with the light spread on a larger portion of the sky. The only one you can see are Andromeda and Triangulum the second one in very dark conditions.
