Even when he was down 25 points, facing a humiliating defeat on America's biggest stage, Tom never gave up, never tried to rush or force any crazy plays. He just changed gears and calmly led an incredible comeback. Thats what makes him the GOAT

I was always a Joe Montana fan, never thought I'd see anyone better when he retired, this was the night for me that Tom Brady once and for all eliminated any doubt that he was the GOAT, the greatest comeback I've ever seen across any sport in my eyes
Yes, he is the clutch player the GOAT of all time of any sport. He stays in their trying to find combinations that he can pick apart. Of course having a good defense is important, but Tom is amazing, the best. Wish he was a Falcon.
This was a Gift from Atlanta. Brady was lucky, he was always the Lucky one. Seahawks gave him a gift, Dee Ford gave him a gift. Patriots cheated their first super bowl win against the Rams. @@webbconstable4945 Technically, a touchdown itself is only worth 6 points, while the conversion adds an extra 1 or 2 points, in which case they were trailing by more than 4 touchdowns.
Actually, Brady wasn't sure at this point. That's why he's not smiling. He was not going to let his guard down or celebrate until after the review had confirmed if it was a touchdown (it was close) and he didn't know that yet until Belichick told him which is where this video cuts off. Gostkowski’s kickoffs in the 4th quarter were amazing. They managed to pin the falcons deep in their territory for pretty much every possession other than the onside attempt.
thank god someone commented this and got a decent amount of likes. id go so far as to say all of this going down the way it did w/o gostkowski‘s amazing kickoffs is fairly unlikely to be blatantly honest. may sound a bit over the top but the amount of extra-yardage he was able to deliver to the pat‘s defense is absolutely crucial imho. i mean its obvious but it just gives you that much more of a statistically significant chance of actually making a defensive play and forcing a turnover/3&out etc. not necessarily saying the pat‘s wouldnt have been able to make all this happen but he made it wayyyy more possible and potentially even brought the possibility go a level of actually coming to fruition. absolutely love that you acknowledged that @Jomitheelf plays like this are just seen as a given by many but often times can make or break your chance at winning or equalizing a game. just imagine he would‘ve f‘ed up one of these kickoffs, falcons return it to their 40 or center field. you saw what julio jones did with that catch. and the 39yd pass rec. + rush. plays like that wouldve had ATL right in the red zone instead of between their own 40 or pats 40 and boom - you have a WAAAY different ball game lol. just goes to show this WHOLE comeback was a huge *TEAM* effort in which *every single* player and play worked to perfection when they had to.
@@connorestes9814 his last kickoff, with a little more than 50 seconds left, basically sealed overtime. Atlanta had enough time, had they taken a touchback, to run 3-4 plays and get into FG range. He was definitely one of the unsung heroes of the game.
Greatest game I’ve ever seen in 30+ years of watching football as a Patriots fan. Watching this game again for at least the 100th time in preparation for The NFC championship game where Brady faces GreenBay tomorrow and everyone still doubts him. Going to be fun watching Brady earn ring #7.
Then Brady throws 3 interceptions in a row!! How did he win that game? Only 30+ years as a Patriots fan, you're still just a kid!! Only back to 1990 or late '80's? Hummm!! Did you watch the Pats vs Bears SB? That was not good for us. I'm still thinking that a lot of Pats had the flu coming on or something. WE got our butts kicked? Then '96 SB vs GB. GB won on 3 big plays. So you missed the '76 playoff game vs Raiders, with bad Ref call. Pats could have won SB that year. We finally got them back with The Tuck Rule.
Brady didn't need weapons to win his first three Superbowls either. I think when the game is on the line and he's backed against a wall he becomes far more lethal because he uses everything at his disposal.whereas other QBs try to force the ball into one spot to be bailed out by a number one receiver. What makes Brady dangerous is When He gets sped up the entire arsenal becomes operational (it's green across the board) he is going to use everything at his disposal. Unless you get to him you're dead. Because he's going to use IT-ALL!!!! that ball comes out quicker. Right left left right, short far, hitch, fade, dump cross, the opponent is getting eviscerated Which is more devestating? Getting your lights knocked out Or being torn apart
The NFL will never be the same ever again without Tom Brady. Literally feels like today my whole childhood has gone away. Been watching NFL because of Tom Brady all my life and with him retiring it just feels like there's no need for me to watch it anymore. All his games were top notch and exciting. Congrats to Brady tho he is forever the GOAT. Thanks for all the memories. NFL has lost the biggest star it will ever have. It's like NBA losing Michael Jordan. Damn I am so sad, literally grew up watching him and now it's all over
I feel you dude and im A SEATTLE FAN, he took one of our Super Bowls from us and Brady will always be the heart of my love for the NFL just like Jordan or Kobe
I feel the same way. It will be an odd feeling when next season starts just not really taking much interest anymore. Never again will I feel the heart stopping anxiety of watching him play in a close Super Bowl, the bleak black depression of the days and months that follow a Super Bowl loss or the triumphant exultation that follows a Super Bowl win. That era of my life is over. My earliest memories of watching him were so long ago, I was a young child and now I'm a grown ass man, they feel like a lifetime ago. When I was in elementary school I was watching Tom Brady, when I first got into drugs in high school and made some bad life choices I was watching Tom Brady, when I had cleaned things up and was doing better I was watching Tom Brady. My own life story is inexplicably tied up with his career and now that it's over it just feels strange.
I'll never forget how I missed the greatest Super Bowl in history because me and my friends went outside to throw the frisbee at 28-3 because we thought we were witnessing the worst Super Bowl in history.... :'(
Well if it makes you feel better Mark Wahlberg was at the actual game and left the Stadium. Later when asked about it he tried to lie about and said it was because his son was sick, then makes matters worst by changing his story later on blaming his son for being a sore loser. Worst Pats fan ever.

I agree. I am going to start campaigning for Dont'a Hightower to make the NFL Hall of Fame. No player has meant more to the Patriots defense over the past 10 years except for maybe Devin McCourty who should also make the hall of fame. In the Super Bowl against Seattle, Dont'a Hightower defeats the block from a pulling guard, and then tackles Marshawn "Beast Mode" Lynch short of end zone. With the game clock running down below 30 seconds and only 1 timeout remaining, the Seahawks elected to try to throw the ball in on the next play and we all know what happened....In the 2018 Super Bowl, Hightower was consistently in the backfield wrecking the game as a Pass Rusher, with 2 sacks and 4 total pressures, as well as a pass break up. In 2017 Defensive Debacle, the "Philly Specia" disaster game where they were gashed for almost 7 ypc and 160 plus yards on the ground, to with 300 more through the air, but guess who was not on the field? Tom Brady will have many chapters in his career to write about. But this is his greatest. For me it completely encapsulates everything about who he is. Nobody believed in him except himself and his family. As a teenager he was overlooked until they had no choice in high school. In college his own coach tried to replace him with a flashy kid. He held that kid, Drew Henson, off. Despite winning a major bowl game as a senior he was taken as the 7th QB in his own draft at pick 199. His coach that drafted him didn't even know what he had. Nobody did. Except Brady. The previous largest Super Bowl deficit overcome was 10 points, one Brady just overcame in 2015 during Super Bowl 49. This was 25 points with 22 minutes to go. And yet, for some reason, Brady led his 53 players and coaches to a win. Why? Because even if he isn't the most talented athlete, he's the most mentally intact athlete. He is the epitome of leadership and will. He didn't even have Gronkowski in this game. He was throwing to two guys who would be out of the league within less than 3 years at critical moments to tie and then win the game. On top of that, his family was struggling with his matriarch being diagnosed with cancer. His mother's cancer fight played extra motivation for his own fight. I'm sure it did. Nobody was stopping this man from achieving his goals in life. Nothing was successful in stopping it earlier. Unlike Thanos, Brady is truly inevitable. Many were surprised when he succeeded in leading this comeback. Anyone who knows him well shouldn't be by now. This is what he does. This is the culture he helps cultivate. A winning culture. We are lucky to have witnessed this, that is, unless you like the Jets, Bills, Falcons, Dolphins or Colts I suppose.
Bleeding Silence Brady literally has 6 rings, Patrick is more physically gifted obviously but Tom is the undisputed goat. Talk when Mahomes has more than 6 😂

New England’s defense should also get props for this comeback. They stopped Atlanta pretty much all but the first drive in the second half, including coming up with several key 3rd down sacks and stops. Without that Tom Brady and Co. would never have caught up.

Gostkowski’s kickoffs in the 4th quarter were amazing. They managed to pin the falcons deep in their territory for pretty much every possession other than the onside attempt.
Yea that was a really overlooked aspect of this game
thank god someone commented this and got a decent amount of likes. id go so far as to say all of this going down the way it did w/o gostkowski‘s amazing kickoffs is fairly unlikely to be blatantly honest. may sound a bit over the top but the amount of extra-yardage he was able to deliver to the pat‘s defense is absolutely crucial imho. i mean its obvious but it just gives you that much more of a statistically significant chance of actually making a defensive play and forcing a turnover/3&out etc.
not necessarily saying the pat‘s wouldnt have been able to make all this happen but he made it wayyyy more possible and potentially even brought the possibility go a level of actually coming to fruition.
absolutely love that you acknowledged that @Jomitheelf plays like this are just seen as a given by many but often times can make or break your chance at winning or equalizing a game. just imagine he would‘ve f‘ed up one of these kickoffs, falcons return it to their 40 or center field. you saw what julio jones did with that catch. and the 39yd pass rec. + rush. plays like that wouldve had ATL right in the red zone instead of between their own 40 or pats 40 and boom - you have a WAAAY different ball game lol.
just goes to show this WHOLE comeback was a huge *TEAM* effort in which *every single* player and play worked to perfection when they had to.
@@connorestes9814 his last kickoff, with a little more than 50 seconds left, basically sealed overtime. Atlanta had enough time, had they taken a touchback, to run 3-4 plays and get into FG range. He was definitely one of the unsung heroes of the game.

Right left left right, short far, hitch, fade, dump cross, the opponent is getting eviscerated
Which is more devestating?

The NFL will never be the same ever again without Tom Brady. Literally feels like today my whole childhood has gone away. Been watching NFL because of Tom Brady all my life and with him retiring it just feels like there's no need for me to watch it anymore. All his games were top notch and exciting. I’ve been to one superbowl in my life being born in Las Vegas and moving to Iowa before the raiders came to town, this was my only nfl game that I went too thx to my uncle who won 2 tickets in a raffle, it’s a memory we’ll never forget❤
Those tickets are probably still valuable that is really Ona GAME FOR THE BOOKS. I would have so loved to have been there too.
Which super bowl was it
That fumble caused by Hightower changed everything instantly.
That's right, #54
@@danthomas9170 That's all true (and you're right), but on this particular play, Freeman picked a crazy time to have a nap.
Yes, that fumble took the victory from the Falcons, that play changed all the game
@@tiffanynaidoo2003 Freeman missed assignment and then the following sack to push them out of FG range, everything that had to go wrong for ATL to lose, WENT WRONG!
@@_HunnidProof The sack and the holding penalty. If Ryan had thrown the ball away, the FG puts them two scores up and it's all over. This, in my mind, is the best game I've ever seen. There were just so many things going on in the game.

@@Eisenbison rigged football is the wwe
@@greglitrell7097 The WWE is rigged for sure. It's not serious fighting, it's all a performance designed to give the audience a good show. Exhibition basketball is pretty much the same, except that trick shots in basketball are much easier to make when the opposing team is trying to lose on purpose (Harlem Globetrotters vs Washington Generals), but it's pretty much impossible to rig a football game when so many long-range passes and tactical plays and counter-plays are in play.

Peyton beat him as both a colt and a bronco in the AFC championship game so I wouldn't say there's as much hatred from them as there are other teams

I've played enough Madden when you're up 8, you just made a big play, there's 4 minutes to go, the clock is running, and you're in field goal range. 10/10 I'm running the ball to milk the clock, kick the field goal, and play prevent defense for the rest of the game.
