    thanks, whenever I watch someone doing a repair video its always some pretentious dude with car lifts and unnecessary tools, your video helped to instill some confidence in my ability to get this job done with the tools i have

    Your video hit the target for me. Have a 2007 Outlook with p0446 pending (EVAP vent system performance) I'll first try to check for vent solenoid coil continuity through harness if possible.
    Your narration style is clear and concise, appreciate that.

    Thank you so much for this video.
    My almost 87 year old Mom has struggled with macular degeneration for many years.
    She gets shots in both of her eyes once a month, I believe.
    Thank you so much.

    Every other GM is easy to get at that Vent Valve. The crazy part is, every time you type "vent valve", purge valve is all that comes up. Shit has been the same in GM land since 1996. 24 years, and people still don't understand. Thank you.

    I like your videos, no bull, straight forward get it done. I bought that same part for mine, but have been hesitant putting it on. But after your video, I'm going to put it on myself. I noticed taking that skid bar off gave more room for removal also. Thanks!

    Thank you so much for this video.
    Your hard work, and obvious experience, will definitely save me a lot of time, money, and sweat and frustration.
    Thanks again.

    Hey Brian, thanks a million. I just replaced the purge valve on my 2009 Buick Enclave, it was very easy.
    Thanks for showing me the Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid. I bought one thinking I could do it, but I can't. I will get the code cleared tomorrow and see if the purge valve fixed it.

    6:00 You should put a piece of long and wide plywood between the jack and the gas tank to distribute the weight load of the gas tank. That small jack plate will bust that plastic / fiberglass tank if the tank weighs a lot. It could weigh an additional 160 lbs if it's full. 6:24 nothing moved because the filler neck rubber hose is HOLDING the tank up. Great video and he even mentioned that the whole job only took about 2 hours of total time. ( aside from waiting for parts ) I just paid $500 to have this done.

    Put a lick of oil on fuel filler nozzle - helps slip on easier.

    I have a mystery hose just going up into the frame to nothing. Its hanging free. I wonder if a past mechanic just left it off.

    Hello there , Can we change the Valve without removing the Gas Tank ?
    And did you have to Empty the Gas from the Tank or we do not need to do that ?
    Thank you .

    • @bryansprojects3570
      @bryansprojects3570  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as I can see the tank will have to come out. I ran the gas level low so it was not too heavy.

    Very well done Sir. I hope it is the same procedure for the 2013 Acadia. Likely not. Did you pull the Fuel pump Fuse or did that mid chassis connector do that?

    • @bryansprojects3570
      @bryansprojects3570  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think that one connector did it all.

      @@bryansprojects3570 Agreed. It is asinine there is no removable floor plate to service Fuel pump and Eco crap.

    I just changed my throttle , mass airflow sensor , manifold air pressure aka map sensor and purge valve and codes p0449 and p0106 still coming up .. for the p0106 I changed all probable cause and the p0449 just the evap canister vent solenoid !! And my 2008 acadia in park after I turn it on in about a min it starts like idling and like if it wants to die even while I drive under 40 like it feels like it's puttering I don't know how else to explain.. but if I drive over 50 /60 it seems fine ... HELP WHAT SHOULD I DO NEXT ?? I don't make alot of money and I've taken it to mechanics and it's just so expensive so I'm learning as I go I'm doing this on my own . Any advice is appreciated 🙂 please

      The vent valve is Dorman 911-369, the harness is 19257603, search those part numbers. For a later model you may not need the harness.

      The Envoy is on a different platform. It has to have a vent valve somewhere though.

    In this case, you should have ordered the Orem part and give the person their vehicle back that day rather to hole them up for a couple days using inferior garbage part that you need an adapter piece.
    Bad practice here.

    • @bryansprojects3570
      @bryansprojects3570  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      In this case it is my vehicle so waiting a day or two to save about $100 is good practice on my part, plus it is not needed daily at this point.

    • @frup13
      @frup13 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rob you’re an idiot.
      It’s his own vehicle. If you paid attention you would’ve known that. Even if you get the GM OEM part you need the adapter because they changed the connection on the newer part they have now.
      This guy is helping and you’re just being an idiot.
