  • You asked to see the SU-100 Beutepanzer tank destroyer in the comments, so here it is. This build has featured in several films and like all our builds was recorded on video. We thought we’d edit it into a new longer format of film. Called "Build and Paint", these longer films show most principle steps in one single longer video. Instead of commentary, there are on-screen comments and links to other videos. Unlike a build series, you get to see everything in one hit with sections speeded up.
    If you want to see how we painted tri-colour German WW2 camouflage then watch this. Using a variety of paints and effects from enamels to acrylics and oils, the paint was weathered. You’ll see products from Lifecolor, Wilder, Mig, Ammo, Humbrol, Abteilung 502 etc.etc.
    Sit back, grab a drink and watch pretty much everything we did to get the final finish.
    Do mention us or this video if buying any of the products in this film.
    Hope you enjoy this new format, let us know in the comments. Bye for now!

    Fantastic build, paint job, and weathering. I really like this style of production which is up there with Plasmo's TH-cam videos in terms of quality. My only suggestion would be that I think it would be a great addition if you did voice over like David does on his, just to talk through some of the challenges and ideas (sounds strange but I also think there is a therapeutic quality to voice overs). Either way though, a great video and I hope you can make more like this in the future!

      TY, the wheels weren't painted first because they were removable and could be done at any convenient time. Hope that helps.

    An amazing piece of work created by a true artist. I really enjoyed all aspects of the build and learned so much more with new techniques for this very mediocre modeller to try. I can't provide any suggestions as I think it's perfect!!

    Nice build I'm trying to change a few details on my t34 76 to the finish T34 like the one in Bovington museum something abit different and just finished up airbrushing and wearing my mythical jagdpanther 2 TD!
    It looks great gonna make a wee dia with that the half track and the flak 36 and flak 37 then on the the Dappie raid churchill with the deep wadding kit and the il2 Russian tank plane never built a plane yet so it's a massive 48 scale iL2 the cockpit is done with clear parts and PE that's different!

    Hello, I was at the presentation you did today at our school for ‘Content Producer’ - I also create videos, but it’s about games!
    (If your channel is run by multiple people this was directed to Hughes)

    • @scalewarmachines
      @scalewarmachines  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi yes - I've subbed. 16K subs respect! You are well on the way. I expect to see you at 100K subs very soon. Nice idea, nice area to be making content as it's mass market and the channel looks great. Well done. Keep doing the channel and you'll do just fine. Have a think where you might want to take the channel eventually or maybe you are happy doing gaming - either way it is all content, a revenue stream and it is a credit to you.

    • @scalewarmachines
      @scalewarmachines  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question, probably about 10% Liquin.

  • @gower1973

    Like these longer format videos showing a complete build start to finish, think washing the backend and pin washing was a waste of time though because you sprayed mud all over it so the wash detail was lost

    • @scalewarmachines

  • @SmallSoldier
    @SmallSoldier 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Looks pretty good. Some useful techniques to see employed. The only thing that puzzles me is why all the work at the beginning with multiple layers of primers? I think you could have saved a lot of time by skipping those parts as it's totally obliterated. I think you could have achieved the same means without all the pre-shading... imo.

    • @scalewarmachines
      @scalewarmachines  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Would tend to agree. Never really seen the point of pre-shading but kind of like the process. It works best with single colour top coats. Got influenced by French magazine Steelmasters so thought it was time to give it a go.

    • @SmallSoldier
      @SmallSoldier 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes pre-shading is effective if done over a single coat on top... agreed. Either way just a slight, I wouldn't even say criticism just a "wonder why" question. Either way you do great work and I enjoy your stuff. The new format works as well, although I really didn't mind the old. 👊😀
