      Ok, obviously, his portrayal of the Joker was unique (and by far the most memorable part of a mediocre film about the Joker), but so were the performances of previous Joker actors who had already made that comic book character extremely popular. And in my humble opinion, none of them became the Joker to the degree that Heath Ledger did (and thank God they didn't, since Ledger couldn't escape the insanity of his character anymore and committed suicide 😰). ...Again, no disrespect to Phoenix whose Oscar I had demanded eversince his powerful portrayal of the ruthless Commodus in _Gladiator._I mean that was his big break and he scored landed every nomination out there right away! He also took my breath away in Walk The Line, The Master, Her, Mary Magdalene, Inherent Vice, and I can't wait to see his depiction of Napoleon Bonaparte. God, that dude is versatile!!

    @NiVi192 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    I don't have time to watch it now, but hey, if Gladiator isn't in here, I am not watching this! Phoenix should've won his first Oscar then, but like other (unique and unconventional) talents, he wasn't in the exclusive Academy club at that point. Four nominations, but wasn't until he played a big pop culture character that a dozen first-class actors had already made insanely popular (most notably the late, great Heath Ledger), which got him the long overdue recognition. Don't get me wrong, his Joker was excellent, but so were at least four others he had given before. I guess in Hollywood, you really get the most praise for the character/movie that sells the best to mainstream audiences. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I pray those people will find God and be nice. I do not agree with violence which I know is in the movie but if we are not careful and mean someone dangerous could go on a mass shooting and WE DON'T WANT IT WE ARE TIRED OF INNOCENT LIVES TAKEN. We need to seriously be respectful of another and see people as they want to be seen. Ultimentaly we all need Jesus. Hopefully the new Joker will teach more people with them actually listening. And if your a Christian that is blocking people on social media who are nice to you or blocking on something else.... You need to get right with God.

    Nobody is perfect. Like him or not. Joaquin Phoenix is a good actor and a decent guy, indeed. 👍
    While the new Napoleon movie may not have been the greatest, the storm of new American & British content on him here on TH-cam makes up for it 😂
    Joaquin Phoenix was far too old to play Napoleon. How Ridley Scott and Joaquin Phoenix managed to get Napoleon so wrong despite literally having so much knowledge about him is insane. Napoleon, is the Successor of the French king Louis XVI and Louis, humiliated the British Empire in America and in Europe and handed the British their butts.
    The French defeated the British in America and gave the American Revolutions Victory over the British. That gave the American colonists Independence.
    And the Brit Ridley Scott hates that!! Napoleon review: Ridley Scott and Joaquin Phoenix Deliver a Film that works better as a comedy than a historical Epic.
