Real shit, haters going to hate no matter what...a lot of tattoo divas out here..trips me out. It's like why complicate it just be glad you don't work in a warehouse. Be glad we get paid to do what we love.
hey thanks for sharing. not only is this informative to me as an aspiring tattoo artist, this is actually going to help me be a better client to my tattoo artist as well. cheers!
to become success. tattoo for fun not for money. have fun doing it, charge reasonable, try to understand the ppl and have patience. goodlucks to everyone
The people that have been willing to give me advice and direction that are always willing to help are the most talented artists. They are talented enough not to feel threatened. I feel like if you know deep down inside your not that good you try to keep things secretive
Yo man, that was really what I needed to hear. I feel a bit naive after hearing ya. I love art and have an appreciation for all kinds... It just sucks to hear the honesty. People always find a way to let one down.
Can you make a video talking about white ink tattoos? IV tried finding videos but no ones really talking about it, and I really like them. If you could maybe talk about the pros and cons that would be really helpful.
its funny cuz as I was watching this video this tattoo artist I know personally tried to sell me a bunkass tattoo power supply ..said it was worth 150$ n he wants to sell it for 50$..couple days ago I asked him what size round liner he used (I'm just now starting out but I'm using these little bullshit tattoo machines also I started out using 5 rounds for lining now I'm using 7 rounds and about to start using 9 rounds becuz I need a bolder line ) anyways, the guy wouldn't even tell me what size liner and/or mag he used, reason why I asked is becuz I'm just starting out n i like his art, but I showed him a picture of just the second tattoo I've done with the 7 rounds n honestly think he feels threatened..but now I can definitely see whats up as far as other artists go they're either gonna help you out or they're gonna try n fuck u over(sadly there's more of the latter then the former) johnny here knows from experience if ur into this shit n your good ,ppl will try n destroy you,rip you off n steal ur shit.. in conclusion i feel bad for all the other new artists or beginners ..I've been drawing nonstop day n night in my room for the past 3 months so my strokes will be like 2nd nature when I tattoo n they pretty much are
another thing that's fcked up is that once ppl find out u tattoo n that ur actually good they're gonna want to be ur friend and shit n try n take advantage of your talent... they're gonna try and be all cool with u just so they can get a free or cheap tattoo which is kinda fucked up when u see it firsthand .. like this one chick she was jus sum chick I barely knew I hung out with her one time n after that she never hmu ... now that she heard from her friend that I'm tattooing she wants to try n see wassup which is not why I did this.. I tattoo because when I was young I got fucked up tattoos by all these other ppl man n i thought to myself man i wish no one would have to go through that n that I wanna give ppl better tattoos then what these other people r gonna give them ..so I actually found this dude that was very experienced 15+ yrs or so , n I got him to teach me I was only 17 back then (im 20 yrs old now) i had full sleeves and a chest piece anyways, this guy taught me everything I know but I had to pay him 500$ which to me was ok at the time becuz I was just getting into tattooing n I thought "hey knowledge is better then no knowledge" n for a couple months he taught me how to tattoo n get used to the vibrations, set up a machine, stencils, cross contamination, run a line, shade the works man... n eventually he was gonna help me get a portfolio n everything but he stopped talking to me which was pretty messed up u know Cut he only taught me for a little while n basically ran off with the money.. but as a 17 yr old I learned alot now I'm 20 yrs old n I'm not bullshitting about Any of this I know I have a troll TH-cam profile n all that but shits n giggles side im serious AF n so is Johnny gault .. this game is very cutthroat..
One would think that a friend would pay generously for your services because they should be willing to support you in your career endeavours. Personally I tend to look down upon those who are unwilling to pay up due to the artist being a friend. Also might I add that I admire your strict business attitude, it seems to have been lost; at least where I am from.
You cant pay for advice like this much appreciated man
you're a good man, a master & teacher out of goodness of your heart. I'm not even in tattoo community & i still enjoy your channel. keep teaching.
