The park is called ten thousand peaks because of the numerous hills and peaks making up the forest. The whole peak forest is 200 miles long, 30-50 miles wide, and within an area of 2000 square kilometers in the Xingyi city. It is an important component of the Maling River Gorge in the Southeast of Xingyi city.
Praised as “marvellous spectacle in the world”, it is ten minutes away from the center town of Xingyi city.
This classic karst landform (park) is divided into two regions, namely west peak forest, which is made up of a typical karst plateau landscape and East peak forest which is characterised by clusters karst peaks.
To visit the Wanfengling, we took shuttle buses arranged by our wonderful tour guide.
Standing on the mountain top, we could admire the forest’s magnificent views.
After observing the breathtaking karst & peak forest, we stopped to have a boat cruise in the Wanfeng lake, the biggest artificial lake in Guizhou province, that is surrounded by the ten thousand peaks forest. Thereafer, we visited the Jilongbao/ Jilong castle - a castle with western style architecture. The castle building has six (6) floors and on the sixth floor there is a glass bridge, made of glass.
The scenery offers different scenery in different seasons, inheriting the name karst museum.
Horse-ride, watching flower sea, bike sightseeing, visiting villages and museum are some of the activities in the park.
