That is so awesome to hear you are getting into the sport! My dad got into it around your age, so it's never too late! Feel free to ask any questions you might have! - Kacy
Very helpful, thanks! All I have is a cold garage where I live; any ideas for storing when you just can't escape the cold? I was wondering about trying to insulate a large box or something similar.
Anthony glad the video helped! I've heard of dudes putting their engines inside a closet in the house, but that may not fly for some (I know my wife wouldn't go for that lol). If the garage is the only option, then it should be okay. I know at least a few people that leave them in the cold garage through the winter, and I haven't heard of an issue from them. -Kacy
Depends on what your needs are. Specific series may run spec tires. Some run open tires. We run MG reds for the local series and Vega reds for the Nationals. Hoosiers are a tire that a lot of people in the Midwest love so if you are just wanting to take laps any of those will do. If you are running a series you should check with them to see what is legal.
Z T, thanks for watching! Nothing has to be done to un-winterize. You could bolt onto the kart and go. However we do send ours to be refreshed at the beginning of each season to make sure they are tip top. The guys at Ghost Racing Engines do fantastic work! Let me know if you are interested in their services and I'll get you their contact info
thank you!

@@StahlRacing Thanks a lot!
What size socket is that for the spark plug? I have 2 and they aren’t the right size for some reason.
I believe it's a 5/8" deep socket
How do I get the gas back into the engine
Hi Michael, are you trying to get the gas into the carb? Do you have fuel line from the gas tank hooked up to the fuel pump? -Kacy
@@StahlRacing fixed it just hooked the lines up the wrong way
What are some good slicks for the LO206? Qualifications are 4.5fronts and 7.10 rears.

@@StahlRacing Thank you! People like you that reply to beginners questions are really the best!
Are you doing anything to "un-winterize" them before running them again?

@@StahlRacing Thanks!
@@StahlRacing Also, any idea what size o-ring the carb bowl drain screw requires? I can't find them anywhere online
Z T, I've never tried to find one, but I've heard you can't buy just that drain screw and o ring alone. Not sure why that is though
@@StahlRacing Hmm ok, thanks
