I like the sound and it cuts the weight in half. You might gain 1 horse power or so. Really depends on what kind of riding you do and what laws you have in your province or state you live in and what cops will ticket you for not having stock exhaust. I personally love the modification. All my bikes have after market exhaust. Busa ... R 1 ... GSXR 1000.... and the KLR650.
@@sappobbg OK Eyy bro dont hate me !!! Just tell me one more thing !! My KLR is 2018 do you recomended me set the doohikey??? May be you know about that more than me !!! So here in México City there isnt enogh information about Klr’s !! Thanks and excelente video you got like and suscription 👍🏻😎‼️‼️
@@sinbrujulaamericano7070 I have not done anything on the doohicke as of yet. I do proper maintenance to the KLR650 and I beat the shit out out the bike as I have also sport bikes. But I know alot of KLR650 owners do change it out. However I can promise anything. I at 15000 km with no issues. I ride the bike hard on street and dirt. That's the best advice I can give you. These bike are tough as hell.
To be honest I never really compared from the stock muffler to aftermarket. I also have a Hayabusa and ride both bikes really hard. But I do get at least 350km before I need the reserve part of the tank. I'm still very happy with milage and riding it very hard. Best money I have ever spent on buying a KLR 650
sappobbg I don't ALWAYS get popping on decel but sometimes I'll get it more than I should be I feel. everything else is stock, these bikes are a pain to pull the plug on so I'm going to see if my buddy can help me today or tomorrow
@@sappobbg my 2012 had a full Vance & Hines exhaust. My neighbors hated it. I'm probably going to do the same thing to my 2018. Now I just need to make it nice and obnoxious so when I'm riding in the cities I can make nice brap sounds and when I'm in traffic I won't die because people will know I'm there

I like a good sounding bike or car as much as the next guy. Not necessarily loud but better sounding. And the pursuit of performance can take us there. I would love to reduce some weight in my KLR. That being said. My wife just showed me an article where they are adding to the cameras at intersections sound sensors. And will issue tickets for being over 80 decibels. That’s not very loud. I understand what you are saying and the police here have sound meter for bikes and will give you a $250.00 ticket and some intersections in Edmonton. This bike typically avoids areas like mention above. As for social credit score thats crazy.
Sounds so much better, just ordered mine for my KLR , can't wait to install!
Daver79 awesome. I really love the sound on mine. Where abouts are you in alberta. I saw your one video cool tune.
SAPPO
Daver79 I think you ride very close to my neighborhood lol.😆
I think your right Sappo! I ride out of the Grove, just found you on InstaGram also! keep up the great vids!
Daver79 thanks for the kind words. Probably see you around soon lol.😆
where did you get it from?
Besides the sound, did your klr get any increase in power? Does it go faster with after market exhaust?
Short answer yes I feel with the aftermarket muffler did improve my performance
Hello brother, where can I buy that exhaust? How do I get it on Amazon? For my KLR 650 2018
Check with your local motorcycle dealer and should be able to help you out or go to the FMF website.
I actually decided to press "buy" after watching your video. You should be paid
Ya the dam TH-cam has changed so much.
What fmf muffler should I get, I want mine to sound like that????
Hello man !!!! Really do you recomended make the change i a klr owner and i would know your point of view!! Thanks

Also was wondering what happened to your miles per gallon after you did the exhaust

did you have to rejet? And did you have deceleration popping afterwards?
Budget Tacticool I did not re jet. Some times it will pop once in a while. Now with over 10000 km on the bike I'm very happy with it.

Yes she sounds better with the new exhaust system lol.😆
