If all tutorials were this clean the world would be a better place. Your voice tone, timing, and flow with choice of depth is absolutely professional. This is what I was hoping for from many other tutorials with Fusion 360 that were somewhat muddy in terms of their grasp on communication and teaching. Are you an instructor at a college? If you aren't, you should be! Thank you good sir.
Great video. At 10:20 + you address As Built Joints. In the case of Rigid Joints, you would only select the two components and then hit OK? To clarify, there is no Joint Origin or Orientation? Thanks CA
A little doubt: How do I move components once they are joined? I have succesfully made the joint but I want to spin it around to see how it looks when working and I don't find the right tipe of clicking
I created to components and created the revolute joint but when I try to move it with the cursor It doesn’t, and both components move together as if it was a rigid joint!😓
Add a joint between one of your two components to the larger assembly workspace to tie it down! Something needs to be fixed to allow for the rotation to happen. Check this out! th-cam.com/video/2w8BuJ-3_80/w-d-xo.html
Hello sir , I made an simple engine and i made an cam shaft which pushes the valves down and up using enable contact sets and create contact sets and it is working but the laptop lags when the cam touches the valve to push it down , its all working perfectly but lag when they touch . my laptop is good , no problem . what to do , ? please help me ?
Still Struggling with joints in Fusion 360 . I wish to make the same type of motion configuration in fusion as I´ve done in Solidworks linking a simple part to follow a curve i drawn, however don´t feel like Fusion is helping me. Is there a simple way to do this?
Create the body from your curve (revolve), enable contact set between those 2 bodies, set your joint as slider or cylindrical and it should do the job.
Sir!!!!! if you make a video on shutter from start to end it will so help and so many confusion will solve and will help me in future I will be very thankful to you also, there is not a single video on the shutter in fusion 360 with explanation
@@adskFusion Thank you for reply! no sir i mean the shutter of camera . where there are moving parts in it. not the inner shutter but the outer part which protect the lens mostly used in sony cameras . the door which keep the lens safe while the camera is switch off
this is not critisism toward you but toward fusion360. but you should delete this video and make a new one. none of this is relevant anymore because they changed how it all works. for example. you cannot right click a body and ground it anymore. not to mention. it's been 7 years. however people get it as a top search result wich is bullshit.
This tutorial could not have been any better. Absolute perfection with pace, explanation and range of examples.
I am so glad Fusion 360 exists
Thank you! Its an oldie but goodie! Make sure to see more content just like that here: f360ap.autodesk.com/courses
They could provide the model so you could practice, just saying.

Thanks so much, Peter! We'll try to make more like this.
See how joints in Fusion 360 are more powerful & flexible than other CAD tools & can be used anytime during the design process.
This module in Fusion 360 is really fantastic!
+Chris Ciancimino Yes, you need to look into Contact Sets... you may have found that by now.
Very informative, easy to follow and complete. You are a great teacher. Thank you.
Very nice explanation of joints vs as built joints. Thanks!
Perfection.. complete demonstration of everything.. 👍👍
Fusion is amazing
This is what I needed ! Thanks ever so much!
Excelente tutoría, muchísimas gracias al equipo de Autodesk
at time 9:37, how did you design the linkage and hot do you join to two different components at two different ends?
Great video. At 10:20 + you address As Built Joints. In the case of Rigid Joints, you would only select the two components and then hit OK?

CA
Excellent tutorial and video editing thank you
Cheers!!
What about constraining planes? What about angular constraints? Mate constraints? Flush? Tangent? Etc... !!!
Nice!
Is it possible to bring this in rendering applications like Maya without loosing the rig?
an old video, but very helpful - time to try my hand with some transforming rwby weapons xD
Please could you provide link to download the fusion file to work? Please sir,!!!!!!!!!!!
8:24: one leg is backward :-)
Shhhhh! Don't tell the others! haha
Do you have the Fusion file that we can download? Would be handy to follow along.
A little doubt: How do I move components once they are joined? I have succesfully made the joint but I want to spin it around to see how it looks when working and I don't find the right tipe of clicking
I can't manipulate my movable parts either. what are we doing differently?
set a ground component

Hi there, where can I find the 3D files used on this presentation so I can practice while watching the video. Thanks
Hey Callen, see the lessons here....f360ap.autodesk.com/courses
But these files are in the samples/help section.
Как записать видео движения связанных деталей?

Sorry, what do you mean by "shutter". Is this a translation?

if you would like me to email you as an example ?
Can anyone get two unrelated joints to animate at the same time?
Yes, most definitely! You'd just need to "drive" them at the same time.
Except of course that revolute does not mean revolve, which is what the actual intent is... English dictionary Autodesk :D Try it :D
