I like this concept and have incorporated it into my setup as well. Why not glue the board to the turf first and let that set overnight and then cut it the next day? Would make more sense to me to do it that way. I am using turf called EZ Tee Hybrid and have it on top of a piece of polycarbonate but didn't even bother gluing it down as I wanted to see how it would work. Surprisingly it hasn't bunched up or come out so I wonder if you really need to even glue it.
Great video. I am interested in making one but a few questions. When you say "wood board" what are you referring to? And how thick is it? How is this any different than just a normal hitting mat? I would like to know why you say it is the best you have every used. Thanks for the help!
So one it’s significantly cheaper, the board is just a 5mm thick piece of wood so the turn doesn’t scrunch up when you hit. It’s just the most realistic I’ve tested!

Can you add a link to what turf you used for stance portion?
what is the best turf that does not get put in the ground. cus every hitting mat ive had always falls apart after 500 balls or so
This mat has lasted a whole year for us. Link should be in the description!

i just watched this whole video.. i have no golf trackman or monitor or any chance of affording one in my future..
love youtube
Love to see it
this looks like it would have a pretty firm feel. Is your preference toward realism rather than injury prevention?
Realism I would say but haven’t had anyone have injury issue with it
More diy golf sim in the future?
