4 handicap index??? Probably closer to 14
Yah no way
Yea that guy sucks probably closer to 20hcp
I mean he has no reply other than sarcasm. Anyone who golfs knows what a 4 handicap looks like and this isn't it. His iron play seems decent, but his short game is very mediocre
Putting is bad chipping is pretty good
@@GolfBusters Chipping looked bad in this video, but even if it was just a bad day, you cannot be a bad putter and be a 4 handicap unless the rest of your game is somehow tour level. It's the most important part of the game
D5
Thanks dad
Their coach is so supportive and positive. Biggest take away from the vid is he absolutely shapes his athletes into better people. What a pro!
Yea he was the man!
one drill i learned years ago, when i lived by Ferris State which is a D2 school, and their coach would have them chipping into the putting greens, and for each flag stick, they had points for being within 2ft, 5ft, 10ft... and they would add up the points at the end of the practice session. And at the time, i when i'd go to the driving range, i'd spend a good hour working on that drill.. and it's amazing how much better i became at chipping onto the green.
Love the video, I dont understand how there isnt more likes. Thank you for the content btw im gonna use some of these drills.
I really like this topic. This is something I've always wanted to know. Well done.😀
This coach is phenomenal!!! Love his methods and how he spoke and encouraged you!!!
He was the man!
This guy is not a 4hcp... nearly unwatchable.
I know dude probably lying through his teeth
Fun video, it's cool to see what level college kids are playing at.
Sheesh, that putting…
I’m better now, been grinding
So good this video 👏🏼🙌🏼 100% using those drills!
Such good drills! Hope you are well, we gotta collab again sometime soon!
Keep at it club awareness is tons of balls I used to hit two titleist shag bags a day in high school hand picked. You learn to hit it close to the bag easy pickup. Got a scholarship after 3 years of playing. It’s a GRIND
1000% a grind
Dont listen to the haters
I was recruited to play D1 golf at a school I had no interest in going to. None of the schools I wanted to go to would even let me walk on. I always enjoyed beating their players in the State Am while not even playing college golf.
The most important skill to have for D1 golf are parents willing to write a check to the coach
I’m a +1 and I’m not close to D1 material. 4 handicap isn’t even close to D3 I wouldn’t think.
I'm gonna start challenging D3 golfers to a match
@@GolfBusters You should lol would be good content but you gotta be petty close to scratch to play in college at any capacity. It was hard for me to even get considered for D2 and I was a record setting player at my high school winning 11 tournaments in 3 years.
No way this dude is a 4 hcp
I know he’s trash
I always wanted better call Saul as my coach…
What did you think was going to happen jock lol college golf is hard
I’m D1 Fa sho with a little practice
@@GolfBusters Dude imagine if you started golf at a young age. I think you would have definitely clinched d1.
No capp
You played for Zeeland West against Marine City in the state finals????
100%
@@GolfBusters that’s sick, I was at that game as a 6 year old with my dad, my first time at ford field. I’m from Marysville, Michigan, and we were there to watch Marine City since they are big rivals of ours
@showtimetroy let’s go that’s awesome!
Where did you play?
@@GolfBusters I’m about to enter my senior year at Marysville High School. I play offensive tackle
It’s hard, first of all you need to play in lots of junior events and possibly AJGA, not to mention you have to make your name known at events, once your known you have your foot in the door
those greens look like ice
They were prettttty quick
LORENZOOOOOO
I saw that thumbnail and instantly clicked hahaha
Lorenzo is a dawg
VERY HARD!
1000%
If he’s at a 4 rn he could probably get to scratch just by improving the putting. I bet he looses 4 strokes a round on the greens.
Instead of Dnone you should have said Deeznuts😂😂
Pros get up and down 60% of the time. So going 6/6 and holing one is light years beyond the PGA tour.
I feel like I did great for one attempt on the up and down challenge
I agree, up and down 4/6 times is good. I’m lucky to have 3-4 in one round.
That's in round play, not a drill. A drill you can keep going until you get it. You also get in a groove.
First
New found respect for you. Your football activities were impressive. Your golf? Not so much 😂
I'll keep grinding until the golf is impressive too haha
Take that glove off when putting, my dude!
I do now, finally made the change
@@GolfBusters feel any better?
This video was pretty cool!
@colecornwell9887 I changed my putting stroke and that feels better, not sure if the glove on or off makes a difference
Second
Damn. That video was not long enough. Practise those drills for a month then return. Play a d3 golfer, then a d2 golfer then a d1 golfer so we can see how you do. Offer them incentives to Kick your butt then we will know.
Dude 100%
But uh he is just a coach right? Beating him wouldn't prove your D1 since he isn't D1 🤔🤔
Just gotta prove I’m good enough for college golf 😎
is he a lefty
100%

I can tell you right now, if you putt with a glove on you are nowhere near D1, D2, or even D3 😂😂😂
Agreed what a loser
These D1, D2, D3 rankings are kind of hilarious. Most D3 players on legit teams are completing these challenges pretty easy.
In my experience played with some D3 players at my home course and seen them play. Seen guy play close to my level at that time when I was around an 8 handicap. But probably top end D3 you right
@@bangskott661 Yeah, you're right. I played high level D2 in college. About half our tournaments were with lower tier D1 schools and we won some of them. I also have played with D3 players that could have easily played on my team. With that said, there were some hacks in high school that went to D3 as well.
In today's culture you could play women's golf and be seen as a hero.
Mate. Drop your shoulders soften your arms and raise your head. The putter is your friend not an angry Rottweiler.
💯
Bro peaked in hs
The good ol days for sure
You’re absolutely not a 4 handicap
I know probably a 20hcp
Nice drills, coach seems like a cool guy. BUT….. this is classic TH-cam bull shit. Those drill “rankings” are a joke. Give me his entire team and I’ll bet my house not one completes the chipping drill alone. The PGA tour leader last year got up and down at 67%. Average tour pro 58%. They would be doing that drill in 12-14 shots, choosing their desired club as well not being forced to hit the entire bottom end of the bag and they would blow the doors off a D1 golfer.
The putting drill, closer to reality if given 5 chances. But one try, nope.
The sand drill wasn’t setup well at all. You want me to land and stop on a towel but you gave me 10 chunk and run lies from soft sand? Unless you also give me a dremel and let me make my grooves ridiculously illegal that’s not happening. Even with a good lie to rip it back that first bounce is going well off the towel.
Then the easiest one, the iron drill, not that hard with no distance requirement. However working the ball like that as your iron drilling routinely would be horrible for your game. You hit your natural shape on 99% of approach shots. Tour pros choose to hit a different shape rarely. Even on a tucked pin right a guy who hits a draw is not likely to try to fade one in there. They hit it 20 feet left of the pin and still hit a draw.
So your saying I was D1 at chipping, that's basically what I got from that.
@@GolfBusters From that chipping drill “measurement,” you would not have lost strokes to a D1 golfer. You did good in the drill. The difference between a tour pro and a D1 amateur and a 4ish handicap is consistency. Tiger is famous for the saying but it’s true “everyone’s good is good, the difference is how good is your bad.” D1 isn’t leaving any of the 10 balls in the bunker for example, that’s where strokes get lost. You did well and got 14 in the chipping drill. Do the drill 100 times and the difference will show itself. Pros AVERAGE 58% meaning they will very rarely have a big blowup in that drill, D1’s are going to throw a few 15’s out there and a small amount of 16’s or worse. You’ll have a bunch of attempts where you don’t get up and down a single time or maybe just once and get 17 or 18 on the drill. That’s the separator from you and better players. That coach saying doing that drill in 11 shots is the expectation, a D1 is doing that at BEST 1-3 times out of 100. And if you look at strokes gained between D1 and tour pro for chipping you’ll see they are very close to equal. Saying his guys do that drill consistently in 11 shots is a flat lie. They don’t. I’m a +3 and I play with D1 golfers all the time as they use our club for their practice and beat them regularly. My goal on that drill would be 12, I’d be perfectly happy with 13.
BTW I’m not trying to hate on the coach, he seems awesome. And he’s doing a good thing pushing the expectation of 11 on his guys but it’s not reality.
Really do not underatand the ego on golfers, lying about their handicaps. I played with a 3.7 last weekend, and both days he shot 77 and was just clearly much better than this guy. If you are a 4, it's because you are taking breakfast balls, mulligans, and generous gimme putts that based on this video are not at all gimmes for you. Would love to see you live stream an entire round with no editing and see how you play. Seriously doubt you'd break 85.
I have live streamed rounds on the simulator which you can look up on our channel and course play videos 3 out of my previous 6 videos.
@@GolfBusters I shot 79 on pebble beach on a simulator. In real life I shot 97, not even close to mimicing a real course with conditions. Live stream a round with no editing haha would be great content either way
