It's so fun to watch these podcast videos as an American. You're introducing me to people who I have no idea who they are...this is a wonderful introduction. Thank you
I am so glad she is doing well. Like Nick, I bonded (with my sister, not Nick's mother and a G&T) over What Not to Wear, and I always find her kind and helpful to people when doing a "makeover". Neither fashion nor makeup are my thing, but I loved hearing her talk food and boarding school. This is such a delightful podcast. Thank you for also filming it.
Gin tonics are from way back when because of the quinine was used to prevent malaria - for England specifically it was done in the colony in India thus Indian Tonic but it's way older than that
@@kayejaye9841 It is indeed lip balm. Ring made as a celebratory memento by jewellery designer friend following the launch of Trinny London. Which is a whimsical and rather lovely gesture. It’s all about being playful.
I loved Trinny and Suzanna’s show and saw every single one when it was originally broadcast. I thought this was a wonderful episode and she came across very well. Well done Dish.
Oh my goodness I didn’t know you guys were doing a podcast together until I saw you both on Saturday Kitchen Live.’ I need to catch on your episodes but wow Trinny. I love Trinny she is an inspiration to all women and even though busy. You know what, she takes time to reply to your comments on Facebook or instagram. She is amazing! It’s so sad to come across negative comments about her especially, knowing she’s worked her socks off to be where she is today. People are jealous of other people’s success!
Trinny and DISH...fashion AND food. I'm here for it!! Yay!! Time to cancel everything in my diary and sit down with a cuppa. Trinny's food preferences are definitely leaning sweet vs. sour. LOL
This is not only just towards Trinny, but I find it so odd for media savvy people who are trained in TV to mainly keep eye contact with Nick and somewhat ignoring eye contact with Angela 😔
I’d never really watched anything with Trinny, always felt she wasn’t my cup of tea, how wrong I’ve been. Lovely, funny, interesting and all round fabulous, I thoroughly enjoyed this episode and will be looking up some of Trinnys past videos, programmes etc. Dish are so great at picking guests.
Thank god for Angela and Nick! LOVE them- yes everyday. Not a Brit don't know Trinny, sorry But love love love Nick and Angela.. Can not say that enough. Nick love that necklace. ttfn
I found this online....."One of the first known instances of gin being mixed with tonic water was in Holland in the 1840’s to combat Malaria. The British Army in India also started using tonic water with quinine in it from the 1850’s to fight the disease, both as a preventative and a cure."
I adore Nick and love that this podcast series is aired on TH-cam. But, by following on from Trinny who arrogantly and inexcusably said ‘will you add the Yemeni’ with Nick saying ‘decant the Yemeni’ was tasteless, to say the least. Nick should have added the word ‘sauce’. Enjoying and appropriating a native condiment from Yemen, and at the same time insulting the very people who invented Zhoug is outright disrespectful and ignorant.
"Appropriating" is surely a strong word when discussing a recipe. I'm from a country with a large multicultural population that has really changed the way the whole country eats. I believe the migrants to this country shared their food culture through small family restaurants and we gratfully embraced it to the point that it changed the way we eat, including how we shop for food entirely. But I think of it as multiculturalism rather than cultural appropriation.
I went to Boarding school, I have a house in the French mountains, Swiss airports, my work across the United States…. Everyone they have on this podcast has had fabulous careers and lives, but they don’t make it sound like showing off. She hasn’t got that skill.
She spoke about those things in context of telling a story about her life. She was asked about food she disliked and she told a funny story about having to eat liver, that story happened to take place at boarding school. Same for the other things you have a problem with, she gave answers about her life and experiences. What would have made her humble enough for you? Maybe talking about liking Cornish pasties because she used to work in a tin mine or perhaps her favourite food should be a cold can of beans as that what she had as a latchkey kid after school every day. Trinny has lived an interesting and full life, she's allowed to talk about it even if you disapprove of it. If is you being the snob not her.
She’s in her 60s and her skin close up reflects that. She looks the same just older and tbh she carries it beautifully. She looks better than I do and I’m not 40 yet.
It's been reported that Trinny recommends avoiding sad friends because they add to your misery. How reprehensible a way to act towards others is that. Put me right off her.
OMG My Irish mother would boil the devil out of vegetables. My friend once told me that she could never achieve quite the same shade of grey with her broccoli that mother could! 😝🫣😁
I absolutely never mind not knowing who the guest is from time to time, it is always an enjoyable show. Thanks, guys
Gin & Tonic dates back to 1800’s when quinine in tonic originally prescribed to British military against malaria. Gin added to make more palatable.
Real shocker that THIS crowd didn't know that! That fact is like in any proper book on bartending and cocktails mixture and culinary books too)))
Man quinine must be some really awful stuff if youre adding gin to make it more palatable. lol Straight up gin is almost undrinkable to me.
What an amazing feeling ! Opening TH-cam and saw Trinny as guest! Love her and energy so much!

I agree 100%. It is broadening my horizons. Plus I learn so much.
Love these 2

Nick: "I love things!"❤
How sweet of Trinny to bring gifts - other guests take note ;)
I always love watching Dish. Nick is a really good interviewer and very sharp and very funny ❤ Angela is a fantastic chef too😊
I love Trinny! I love her interviews!

Have always loooooved Trinny! Also, Angela’s laughter is just absolutely delightful! 100%
Adore Nick. He is so delightful.
Clicked on like during the intro! We need daily episodes 🥰
Love that was wearing a bicycle bell on her finger. Ideal for fast walkers
I don't think that's a bicycle bell. I think it's one of her stackable makeup pots (maybe a lipcolor?) on a ring.
@@RiverSightPortugal I’ve been wondering what that was. I’m surprised that Nick or Angela didn’t ask

Thank you Awesome Angela and Nifty Nick.

I would love a memoir from Trinny oh the stories she could tell! I adore her

Omggg they got trinnny !! ❤❤
Gin and Tonic great cocktail was first used early 1800s to treat illness
GIn and Tonic originated in Holland in 1840 and was used to combat Malaria
Hearing Trinny get excited about Italian food, diner breakfast and now the sexiness of cheese is making me salivate!
Love trinny and some great answers. I laughed so much. Thank you dish, nick and angela
Boy, there are some bitter gits in the comments. If Trinny's not your cup of Earl Grey, move on.
👏👍
WELL STATED🤣😂🎊🫰🏻👏🏻✌🏻
Nick is that you? 🤣
I love that she is wearing her own lip/rouge on her finger ❤
Didn’t Ang just recently rant about shes annoyed with her brother putting horseradish on everything? 😂
I have never clicked so fast!
Looking forward to this! Love love trinny, another great guest! This podcast gets better and better

I aspire to look as gorgeous and glamorous as Trinny ❤😊
Love Trinny! Love DISH! Well done
Horseradish was Heinz’s first product. 🍯
Horseradish and ketchup together is delicious with fish and chips
I’ve never heard of that combination. Sounds interesting. I might try it. Wish me luck!

I see Trinny, I click
The first guest I didn't take an instant liking to, but I love Angela and Nick enough to give her a go.
Love Trinny ❤🎉😊
Trinny is a beauty and soooooo stylish . Love her too

I hate how overly indignant we've become about a perceived slight.
correction: watch that interview. Parkinson was being an ass. full stop.
Never clicked so fast for a Dish video!! Yay Trinny!
Did she have a reaction to the food??
Gorgeous food, wonderful interviewers and (in my opinion) a sex symbol as a a guest
Her eating reminded me of Patsy on AbFab.
This goes far too fast
How bloody generous ❤️🇮🇪
Please get Rebecca Ferguson here if possible :)
I have a big spot on my face ! Oh dear!

Thought Trinny had horseradish in that ring!
She is so rich oh my. Still loved the ep of course and she was lovely

Well, I have to defend Meg…Mr Parkinson was really piggish as one Brit put it. He was totally needling her.
Wish we could see Kjersti Flaa on Dish! She's such a lovely human.
Who?
@@kravenmoorehead5253 , she's a Norwegian journalist / reporter / producer who covers and does a lot of interviews with celebrities.

I'm with Trinny with my dislike of anchovies. Why are they now appearing on everything?
What is on her finger, looks so silly
Looks like lip balm.
It’s a makeup thing, she keeps lip balm in it. Trinny London brand of course
Noooooo!!!! What did he whisper to her?!!!!
Love love love, they need to bring Trinny in as an additional host!!!
