I tried to make it accurate but I never planned on sharing this or having a TH-cam channel lol So it’s close but I might have some pics out of order. Thanks for watching though let’s get after it💪
@@colinmurrayYT Thank you, I have been going to the gym for about 3 months using the workouts (weights) you suggested and I really thank you for this. I have allocated a plan to work 2 areas a day (chest and triceps, back and biceps, shoulders and legs). I go 6 days a week and I want something from you about this. I am not sure whether it will be consistent even if I mix and use the plans you gave me and I want to know your opinion on this subject.
@@gkaer I think it’s a solid routine as long as you stay consistent with it. You don’t gotta follow my routines if you found a style of training you like then keep at it. Both will get you the results just gotta work hard at whatever you’re doing. So yeah it’s solid and definitely will bring you the gains if you work at it!
love your vids bro. you actually seem like a genuine guy that i can trust with the info you give. u don’t seem like one of the sellout fitness youtubers.
No cap, this might be the most inspiring and realistic transformation i have ever seen. You showed us that everything doesnt go on our way, there are always ups and down, what matter is that we stay consistent for our dreams. I'm a skinny guy who has been lifting in then gym for about 1 year and saw close to nothing progress. I was planning on starting calisthenics and you just inspired me so much. THANK YOU MAN, wish you the very best on your journey
If you see no progress it's your diet. I started to 2 years ago as a super skinny person. Had to eat like a pig to gain weight. Once you start putting on weight you will start seeing the results from lifting if you are putting in the work. Even 2-3 times a week with proper diet you'll see results in a few months.
Did you really lead into a dissertation with the words “no cap”? Hopefully after your transformation you will have enough self respect as a man to never do that again, lmao.
I'm a little over a year into my transformation, and you were the catalyst for me getting my butt in gear. Thank you for providing a no BS look at what is really possible and sharing your progress. It's highly motivational.
Ngl I got a pull up bar because of u. I’m 2 years into my fitness journey and started at a similar place u did. Still going strong. Thank u for inspiring me and helping me learn what I can accomplish
I love how you have put numerous failed attempts and hardships that you had to face in the video. Extremely authentic and inspirational! Subbed just for this. :)
So inspiring! Thank you, especially for including all the "failures". I'm 54 and 2 years ago I started on a similar path ... and I fail over and over and over. Real strength is to keep trying. You have a great body, but your determination is your most impressive strength.
I must say I've really enjoyed watching your TH-cam channel till now. This video hits so hard for me. I like how you are yourself on and off camera. Wish you best bro❤
Seeing you going this far is really admirable ! My mindset got really off the track in the last time. Being in a more stressful period of my life got to be a chance to stop doing any exercises that would get my muscles to go on a bit of soreness and I'm very conscious that once I'm done with this, things need to change for better. But I feel like the most discouraging thing isn't really the time management but my commitment. I've tried in the past to go on and exercise but every time I seemed to get lazy after 3 or 4 months. I'm not proud of it, I got tired of looking in the mirror and hate how my body looks and feels like, and I really hope that once I'll get back at it again I will change for the better physically and mentally. You're a source of inspiration
I like that you show yourself when you're normal and nor flexing. Sometimes it feels like the body we're all trying to achieve is someone flexing to the max right before they break down.
You posted this exactly when I needed to see this. I’ve been off track for a while now, but I realize I’ve gotta get back on track. My diet is the biggest problem and the thing I struggle with the most and I don’t know exactly how to push through or how to change it, but I know I’ll get to my goals eventually I just gotta keep trying
The internet (and TH-cam too) is full of transformations that take a few months. But I know from myself that this is a long-term process. It takes years to get to a good level. I started training when I was over 30. I was always thin, I couldn't gain weight. For 183 cm, I was about 71-74 kg, since I was about 17 years old. Illness also hinders training (and life), but I am able to improve despite it. Only weight gain is not very possible. The development is noticeable even in my 1 year. Your video also showed me that 6 years in such a journey is actually not such a long time. So I'm still very much at the beginning. I train with dumbbells and I don't go to the gym. I'm doing my training at home right now. Keep doing what you're doing! But I don't think you plan to stop. You motivate people and that's a good thing. Your health and self-confidence have also improved. So it's all very worth it.
5,9 at 217 lbs. started training about a week ago, been keeping consistant. This has been a huge encouragement for me to keep pushing and showing up. Thank you Colin for being a pillar of hope!!!!! If i remember ill give an update at 2 months, 6 months, a year, and so on.
I stumbled upon your channel yesterday and now I am watching your other videos. My ex partner gave up on me as I was not focusing on my health since a long time. We were supposed to get married this year but she got tired of pushing me to work on myself. I have been lazy all my life wrt my fitness. I finally realized my mistake and started going to gym since last month. I was weighing 99.5 kgs, now I am around 96.5 kgs. Everyday has been a struggle but I keep pushing myself. I am an introvert and hence I find it hard to even interact with others in gym. Ever since she left, I am finding it very hard to even function normally on a daily basis but I hope to not give up. Thanks for your videos, it is helping a lot.
Day one supporter here, that's for helping me grow,I can do muscle upset and L-sit to handstand all thanks to your videos man,I remember the first time watching your videos, your the first person to reply, great video, you took me from one day to day one ,now I'm achieving my dream goals, and I ain't stopping 🔥❤️
Bro you know what's crazy, I've been watching your calisthenics content since a few months ago heavy, I just stumbled upon this video randomly on my recommended, watched it the whole way through and didn't realize it was you until about 5mins in, you've come a long way brother this inspiration hit different
Working hard always pays off!💪 I also started calisthenic less than a year ago and I hope to be able to progress like you did . Thanks for the motivational story 💪
Just starting to get back into a routine again after being off for a couple of years! Remember seeing your 5 year body transformation as inspiration to try get better at calisthenics. I'm aiming also try get better at finding irl mates, going out more, dieting, men's fashion, hygiene and building a physique through consistency and hard work. Having ADHD was really debillitating - as much as I wanted to do these things, I just found it so so difficult. But with medication I can now see clearly what I need to do and begin. Really excited to be a part of your community and hopefully make impressive progress like yourself!
Nice work Colin. 1 year of martial arts, 1 year of inconsistent weights and calisthenics and now on my third year of combining them all. It' been tough but looking at videos like these I'm reminded that it's going to get tougher. But just like your journey, there's probably a good ending. Now the question is: We can get the same results that you got in a shorter amount of time by avoiding the mistakes that you made. But which things to avoid? There's a video idea for you, Thank you.
Really amazing video. I have similar stature to you and had similar development from age 21 to 28. Am 37 now and still have same physique and lean body mass. I (think) like you I felt inadequate as tall skinny boy. It amazes me how comfortable people are criticising or body shaming skinny young men, who actually have a pretty ideal BMI. Young lads need more content like this. Particularly from mental health confidence point of view. Amazing work
Great Transformation! I am currently 17 years old, 6'3, 160lbs and just got my first lob dunk. My journey started 2 years ago at 130lbs and I hope to contiune do have great progess to eventually get to your level of athletics and strength.
I have never seen anyone get hurt that bad on a dunk. That said, your channel helped me get into a crazy shape I haven't been in for years and also become the strongest I have ever been. Favorite exercise I learned from here is the cross pull "row" at the cable tower 💪
i had a similar situation from dunking, broke everything in my forearm. watching your journey has been a great ride, cant wait for what you do with the future!
Awesome stuff Man. I'm older, skinny (veggie) but gaining more muscle mass since I have been working out (strength training and cardio). I wanted see a transformation video that can help inspire me and this helps. When I became a vegan / vegetarian at 24 in 2012 and I never worked out. I was always skinny my whole and never really worked out to stay skinny. That's when I decided to workout and realize that I can build on my skinny frame and gain muscle. 2024 was the first year that I ever really hit it hard with strength training and cardio. I figured I give my self 1 to 2 years to get defined beach bod and more muscle mass. Good stuff man. Good inspiration.
Very sweet video! I love the you aimed for basketball and became athletic is multiple sports. Along the way you developed an aesthetic physique. I did gymnastics for 14 years (ages 4 to 18) but didn't start weightlifting for hypertrophy until just turning age 17. But for me my gymnastics receded and building a lot of lean muscle became more important. I got severely beat up a few months before turning ate 17 and that changed my life. I wanted large muscular legs. My body transformation was motivated to be heavier. UNLIKE you I started at 5'7" and 150 lbs. I wish I were your height! That is awesome. Thanks for sharing your story. I wish my high school experience was more positive.
It's amazing man! I have been working out for more than 1.5 years, and I know how hard it is, I was diagnosed as a prediabetic, but I won't let that stop me from becoming like you. The transformation is really inspiring bud! Can you give me two cents on how to improve my lifts? I am a really hard gainer, stuck on 120 lbs bodyweight for so long (from 103 to 120), and my bench is also stuck at 90 lbs!
Good to see tall guy more like ektomorph more like me moving through hard life and making progress for yourself and for others. I like callisthenics more and more even im newbie in it and handstand for me is not achievable atm Also had heart abnormal beatings cas of unhealthy heart so i afraid those and some others exercise. Any advice guys ?
