Very interesting. They are industrial works of art.

Appreciate your vid, admitting when you don't know your next step. We all get there sometimes.

Thanks. Well….despite how immersed in this hobby I’ve become (114 fans as of last nights purchase of a 77646AD Pedestal!!!) Ive only Been at this just under three years (July of 22 was my first fan!). So…I’m still learning and I hope to share what I’ve learned and where I screw up in hopes of helping others.

@@AmeriFanPicker That's about 100 more fans than I have. But my wife still wants to kill me. 🤣

If I were you I would just do my best to clean those windings with a soft brush and some compressed air, take those headwires / start switch wires back to the windings and do fresh wires and tie them down to the windings with some fresh twine strain reliefs, and then heavily revarnish the entire stator. Neat fan! I'm sure you will get it all figured out and running again in no time! :) Happy New Year!

Yeah…I don’t know, as of shortly after posting this video all did was cut them back a little bit. I just got scared of going back farther all the way to the windings although that’s probably the better thing to do. I think it’s because I can’t quite tell if a couple of the wires disappear into the stator in which case I’m afraid to try to trace and retrieve them. I think I’m
Gonna just leave it at this. I’ve got it pretty tidy right now. Oh….i washed the remnant of headwire and it’s a super pretty very small patterned chevron! I might make a video about it.
