The reverb alone does so much I love it
RTL has this icy and cold feel to it. Very harsh yet atmospheric.
The clean tone adds an eerieness to the song, I like it.

The drums throws it off though. These sound really Justice. Especially the bass. It diminishes how good the R.T.L. guitars sound here.

Since the drum and bass tones for Ride The Lightning and Master Of Puppets sound exactly the same, you should do some crossovers for those albums if you are only rerecording the rhythm guitar. Those would sound the most realistic.

They are a lot diffrent especialy the bass master of puppets bass sounds a lot more chunky with more gain and chorus
Ride the lightning sounds more funky and reverbed

This is so right in so many ways
When I was four I thought "One," and ", "Welcome Home Sanitarium," were the same song. This is what Metallica sounded like to me in 1988.
The "Ride the Lightning" production on this track draws me into Joe Bonham's nightmare. His youth was sacrificed for democracy and he is being punished for the sins of the kings of the world.
This looks like Dante's Hell had he witnessed the Great War.

Ha, true, but metallica was really hatin on Jason for AJFA and gave him background parts and made it quiet.
Missed opportunity: for the opening solos, could have done electric but this sounds dope. GJ

A good way to get a ride the lightning tone is turn your gain down a lot and use a boss-ds1 distortion pedal and turn the distortion up a lot it give you that sharp twangy distorted tone
Edit: I just got to the solo and he didn’t do a damn Thing to the tone wtf

The sound of this album really does its best to bring this song down. The lack of bass and the really brittle guitar sound always made the “Hold my breath as I wish for death!” parts sound ridiculous to me.

Its pritty good all around but the mixing needs a bit of work. The vocals are a bit loud for the guitar.
All you did was pitch shift and add reverb to the song.

There's no point about that. The band records whatever & whenever they feel like it. Otherwords, what the fuck is your point?
You forgot to outtune your guitars.
You did not record this. You took the isolated guitar tracks from James and Kirk and mixed and mastered this.
I can hear some parts are excactly like the album. With the mistakes too
I did recorded all of the rhythm guitar, except the solos, that's why the description says "I Recorded the rhythm guitar".
That clean sound doesnt sound like any Metallica clean. Id spend more time listening to rather than dialing up numbers from a chart...
