I've seen some people use some MWII weapons with some success in MWIII. I've also used MWII weapons with some success in MWIII. The MWII weapons also are pretty good in MWZ. For the most part tho, most people stay towards the MWIII weapons. Guess it's because some people buy these games yearly, so they already had a year with these weapons before or people just want to level the new weapons first (like myself). For people like myself tho, who skipped MWII, the weapon selection was a great addition in MWIII.
@@LookItIsHope having the weapons carried forward was the best choice in my opinion. But idk I feel the mw2 have a way longer time to kill, they feel really weak compared to the MW3 weapons. I haven't had much time to play the season 1 update so can't really tell yet if the old weapons are more viable now. But as you said there's a few that are okay

I think MWIII has the same concept, but just different mixing to me it sounds like in MWII they increased mechanical sounds while in ADS, but in MWIII, echo volume is increased

I'm a bit surprised by how many really tiny differences there are in the sounds for these weapons Maybe SHG actually went through all these weapons and slightly tweaked the sounds to make them sound just a tad better
They didn't tweak them, their engine just renders them differently. In the game they sound flatter and more compressed, almost like the entire game's audio is normalized.

The difference is not in the weapon itself, but the lighting, textures and sound mixing. Despite being 1:1 the same models and rigs, MWIII does not utilize the tech from MWII's engine the same way. It's rather easy to tell each game apart when the game is in motion.

@zedus4042 Stop coping, the 70$ price tag isn't justified, but MW3s gameplay is an upgrade to MW2. It plays better, has more guns and has better maps. The only con is that it's too expensive and feels like an add-on.

I never played MW2. I stopped playing after Cold War zombies (cause I wasn’t a fan of multiplayer at all back then). I just got this game, and honestly I really like it. The story was pretty confusing and felt like it went nowhere which was a huge let down though. Zombies I kind of enjoy. I kind of do like the extraction like feel to it, but it doesn’t compare to the old zombies games. Multiplayer was a blast though. For the first time in forever I was enjoying it. While I do think the modes are kinda bland, except for s&d of course, I really enjoy the feel of it. Maybe next time they can build further on this game design. Remember though, this is coming from someone who didn’t get MW2. Anybody who did would probably feel like they purchased the same game lol.

Why does Kastov reload audio sound so pathetic? It sounds like you’re reloading a can, not an AK. There is so much more mechanical clicks and clank sounds when you reload a real AK. They got the Kastov 74U right. Could’ve used a slightly chunkier version of that for the 762.

In MWII, each gun had a different firing sounds whether you were ads or not. In MWIII it has the hipfire sound the whole time which imo sound worse.
