However, being that I didn’t really step foot into Mexico to visit relatives until I was about 5, I will admit that it takes time to get used to it. Traditional Mexican candy would be like cocadas, jamoncillo, borrachitos, ate, fruta cristalizada, palanquets, pepitorias, alegrías... And so many more!! There is a huge variety of fruit, seeds and even cactus-based sweets that are not spicy or sour at all, but they are not sold outside of Mexico. Also, each region has its own sweets, so there are many more than the ones I mentioned!!
