Determined to find his missing daughter, Austin detective Danny Rourke (Ben Affleck) instead finds himself spiraling down a rabbit hole while investigating a series of reality-bending bank robberies where he will ultimately call into question his most basic assumptions about everything and everyone in his world. Aided by Diana Cruz (Alice Braga), an unnervingly gifted psychic, Rourke simultaneously pursues and is pursued by a lethal specter (William Fichtner) - the one man he believes holds the key to finding the missing girl - only to discover more than he ever bargained for.

😂Your comment is satirical right? I can never tell these days if someone is being sarcastic or not in their comment. Cause this trailer was basically like watching a mini version of the movie. Beginning, middle and end. 😂 We don’t need to to see it because it literally gave away the whole movie.

Just watched it. I was hoping it would come back to the shrink's office at the beginning and reveal he's suffering a serious psychosis. That story line had potential. This version is more like a super hero movie on the cheap.

@@joshuaohuka7719 that's kind of a cool idea. You know I think the issue with most comic book movies is that the try to fit in too many villains and super heroes. Even the Dark Knight. Two Face was amazing but it felt like they just squeezed him in there. It didn't need another villain and I think is what keeps that film from greatness. He would have been a great pt 3 villain, though. Just make an absolutely solid thriller between two adversaries, then you can fully and deeply explore the themes that the conflict represents. Squeezing in too many heroes and villains often just dilutes the power of the story.

I saw this at an early release event last night and it blew my mind. There are so many twists and turns and totally unexpected things that it kept me on the edge of my seat.

I've been a fan of William Fichtner since What's the Worst That Could Happen when he played a very flamboyant inspector. I was like...who is this guy?!?!
What a career, too. Soooo many good films, and I'm so glad to see him in a prominent role once again.
Lol he was hilarious in that role, Riger Van Zant in Heat, the mob bank teller in TDK, voice actor in GTA…

He's a really nice guy I met him while I was working security at his building where he lived in Manhattan in the 90's, ironically it was a Trump-owned building it was called Trump 200 he came into the security office with his kid on a little tricycle and started just talking with the security staff really cool guy.

Firstly ignore the negative reviews immediately! Second, do yourself a favour and go watch this film that is full of so many TURNS AND TWISTS, EVEN RIGHT TO THE VERY END! I was flabbergasted throughout the whole film. This is a MUST WATCH! I need a part 2. In fact there needs to be a part 2.
Looks super cool. Hits that not-quite-supernatural-but-almost feel. Nice to see another Rodriguez project.

Reminds me of a marvel villain called "Purple Man" who was featured in the marvel netflix series "Jessica Jones". The ability to control people's minds is a terrifying ability to deal with. Cant wait for this movie. It has a good cast as well.

This movie has the most unsatisfying of endings, makes you kinda regret the 1hr30mins you spent on it
This movie needs a character who explains hypnotizing very clearly so the audience isn’t lost. Maybe they could call it something else, something similar, so the audience isn’t lost. And when people are under hypnosis they could say something like, “It’s not him anymore. Hypnotics makes you see the world…” that way the audience doesn’t get lost. And you know what? He needs someone to sleep with.
Or you could just pay attention...

Omg this looks great. The only concern is will those of us who cried during the orginal The Color Purple also cry during this new release. This says January 26, but recently had heard Christmas Day was the first day showing. Fantasia has come a long way. Bravo!!!
