If you've got layers you can spray your hair with water first and do a twist of the piece you're braiding inward toward the centre of the braid, brushing out any tangles as you go. That gets rid of a huge amount of flyaways.
All these comments about this not being for other types of hair. You can't make every hairstyle fit everyone, and most hairstyles aren't even possible for straight hair. So stop the hate

The only straight hair that has a little bit more of shape is the dyed, dry straight hair, and even then there's not that much you can do You may see a hundred of videos like this one, but they all look pretty similar. What we do have less off, but I think we're getting more now, is videos of people with other types of hair.
