As a black woman, this is the kind of comic I would buy and watch- the production quality and acting is top notch. Both DC and Marvel comics should be shook.
So glad to see Quinta back! The whole sketch was hilarious, but her line "Yes! F**k you, rain!" put the nail in the coffin for me. I am now deceased. ☠
There’s something so nostalgic about this though, the sound effects, the background music…like I’m 9 again at home watching this with my brother. I miss my childhood
It's the continuous creativity for me. Robin Thede is a genius. Black women worldwide need to have watch parties featuring episodes from this series. Imagine the interesting debates you could have with your girls dissecting the messages in each one of them. She is the female Dave Chappelle because like him she delivers intelligent comedy that makes you laugh but also makes you think.
Another great sketch! Reminded me a little of the game that Quinta and her Buzzfeed crew made where they had to swap the white hand away before it touched your hair! hahaha
This is the kind sketch that is FUBU! LOL and only WE 🤚🏾 can fully OVERstand! Thank you for this.... some will NEVER understand the Realness of this 😫💕 Ps. Welcome back from Adam's Elementary Quinta! We lovveeeeee you!!
Me to my stylist: Kanekelooooon 🤸🏾♀️😂 *swings bundles in the air* Stylist: 😐 Could you not get them all mixed up please? I've already brushed them through. Awkward silence for at least the next half hour. 💇🏾♀️
I would like to thank Oprah for promoting Good Hair that one time and all the women that participated in that doc for helping me understand this sketch because otherwise it would have completely gone over my head
Lye is the chemical in old school relaxers that would straighten and fry our hair. Transitioning takes a long time, so a lot of women end up having processed ends for like a year or two while transitioning. Kanekalon is a synthetic hair brand, often used for braids. It may be just a US thing, but it's pretty common to see a detached braid in a road street gutter on occasion lol. The material is also highly flammable, The natural lady referenced her kitchen (nape of the neck), deep conditioning to strengthen the hair, and the entire skit referenced the most common types of relaxer brands in the US.
As an Asian person who loves black hair, this was really enjoyable to watch. Whether it's sew ins, silky press, or just natural hair; it's really interesting to see the maintenance of different hair textures.
Asian here but my cousin has a very texture hair that she has to strength it since she was young. I’m wondering if black hair care will help her to maintain her natural hair. Some of us that has a very thick hair and quite dark skin tone can learn some trick from black stylists. I’m just worried that it will not be appropriate.
Love the skit. Similar to my hair journey. Well, alot of ours. Now back to braids. Have not done kink style though. Hair too hard for me to shape into that form. And I would love this skit as a mini game. That would be great.
Omg! 😂🤣 What masterpiece did I just watch?!? How they summarized my life long conflicts wt my Hair into a Hilarious skit is Genius! 🤦♀️🤣😂Even my baby hairs found that funny! 💀🤣😂 Love this Show! 💯😍👏❤
I didn’t realize Quinta Guest starred in this episode and this sketch, I was expecting her and Laci Mosely to guest star in the final episode’s apocalypse sketch
I love all these ladies but, I had been missing Quinta so much! I really need her to run into Chris in some new masterpiece of a sketch. That’s my dream!

“I may be weak but it will take years to get rid of me” the accuracy of it all 🤣😂
Right! The puns were on point 😂
Where you going looking all dark and lovely.
It burns.
Lie.
No it really burns.
No it’s Lye, that’s how you know it’s working.
@@heatheraucoin5832 🤣🤣😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣right 😂😂
Yes this was so good! All they needed was a Big Chop character with a Lazer Razor weapon...lol😄
"over there all dark& lovely"😂😂😂 I love it
I think we need to get something *STRAIGHT*
i was kinda hoping the episode would have ended up with Quinta joining the main cast again but glad to see she got to be a guest
And lose Abbott elementary?! Out of your mind
@@arain764niara i wish we could have both but i also don't want Quinta to overwork herself
That's a lot of work. Quinta writes on Abbott Elementary too as well as starring on it. It would be too much to do that and ABLSS full-time.
tbh, I was expecting her to be a guest star on the final episode’s apocalypse sketch along with Laci Mosely
Gurl she got her own show, doing the most(in a great way)
“Another abandoned box braid in the street” I’ve seen far too many of these here in Chicago 🤣😩
Screaming 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
same
This show is fast becoming a cult classic. So many hilarious sketches !!!
" I am too fertile to die!" 😂🤣😂🤣
"I think we need to get something straight"😩💓
this line!!!

Ahhh Quinta!! Good to see her on here again!
As soon as I saw Quinta, I screamed

Yes, same thing I thought! Akin to Dave Chappelle show, some genius comedy here.🤣
Dave Chapelle would wipe the floor with this lady
Yes to everything you said.
@@tinkerbelltheredhead Definitely and that's not to take anything away from Mr Chappelle. He is my favourite comedian.
@@tinkerbelltheredhead Her skits have so many layers it's fun exploring each one. I do exactly the same with Mr Chappelle.
Kanekalon took me O-U-T🤣!!! This show is pure magic!
THAT LAUGH... SHE WAS THE BEST VILLAIN.
Cutie Quinta!!! Yes!!!😍❤ This was so on point! The ending! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This has to be one of the best sketches. Absolutely hilarious ❤️
Straight from Power Rangers, with Quinta as the cherry on the top.
Love It!
If there’s a part 2, PLEASE include Blue Magic! 🙏🏽
FIREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE My name is Jasmyne and this sketch is black girl approved! so witty, clever , and funny !
My hair went through all the phases and I ended up just chopping it all off. Lol.
As a man I appreciate the writing, acting, and the education lesson I get from watching this show. This is the best tv show I’ve ever seen.
the way she says KANEKALON is going to stay in my head all year
Another great sketch! Reminded me a little of the game that Quinta and her Buzzfeed crew made where they had to swap the white hand away before it touched your hair! hahaha
OMG I FORGOT ABOUT THAT!🤣🤣
When I tell you I didn’t know where this would end up… I didn’t 😭😂👏
Whomever came up with the straightening comb nunchucks needs a raise! 😆😆😆
Absolutely brilliant!!! I hope they never stop making these !!!
This is the kind sketch that is FUBU! LOL and only WE 🤚🏾 can fully OVERstand!

Quinta came back!! ♥️♥️♥️ I know it's just this one skit but it's still great.
Loved it! Nicole is beautiful as always rocking that fierce Afro ✊🏿✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾
IKR!! 🥰
That afro is treated, trimmed AND deep conditioned 🥰...peep the straightening comb nunchucks 😂😂🤣
Another deserted boxbraid in the street!
I pick them up from the highway, while cleaning up litter.

Ouch it burns, lye, no4 real it's burning. No LYE, that's how u know it's working 🤣😂
First of all, hiiii Quinta!! 👋🏾 Second, my fav character is 🗣 KANEKALOOON 🤣🤣
Rated T for texture. Love this show
Me watching this while installing my pre-streched kanekalon box braids at 2 AM for work at 7
I sooo missed Quinta‼️‼️ and Kanekalon took me on outta here🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Saw Quinta, got confused, and thought it was a sketch from Season 1 I had forgotten. Kept checking the title on the app. Thought I clicked wrong. lol
The hot comb nunchucks..🤣🤣
I don't 100% understand this particular sketch, but im here for the versatility of our hair ❤️👍🏾
Same. Been black over here my whole life but we still learning 🙋🏿♀️

Thanks for reminding me I need to go get some hair for braids 🤣
''Rated T for texture'' I know that's right.
Kanekolon had me 😵 and how she’s pronouncing followed by the evil laugh “Kanekalon mwuahahaha” 😂😂😂😂

Clever. Love the superhero poses
The struggle is real. It took about 4-5 for my hear to recover from the only relaxer treatment I ever got in my life.
