I just want to put it out here that once a year, for 8 years now , I watch the complete seasons of Gilmore Girls + Year In the Life . Usually by year end. It's crazy how I never get tired of it.
I do exactly the same. I am currently in the midst of my annual revisiting of the show...I always feel it is best to watch it again during the Autumn 🍂 and Winter periods. This however is my first year delving back into Gilmore Girls without my Mother. She and I used to LOVE watching Gilmore Girls together. We were SO close. She was my best friend...and she died earlier this year. 🥺
@@AvecPoesie I’m sorry about your mom. I hope the show would still continue to give you comfort. It always does for me. I watch it around fall-winter as well. My year ends, at least these past few years haven’t been good, but Gilmore Girls gives me a certain kind of ‘feel good’ whenever I watch it. I watch it with my mom too, she gets emotional when she hears the intro song, don’t know why. Hehe.
I can’t imagine losing such irreplaceable best friend. Tho, for me, Stars Hollow never fails to bring us in into their family. The Gilmores can always be our extended family, no matter how crazy they can be. Hehe.

I really wish they would do another A Year In The Life. I want to see how everyone is on there
Gilmore Girls is huge for our home too. Not because Lorelei is some hero, but more so because the characters feel so real and well rounded. It wouldn't be nearly as entertaining if she always did the right thing and always had the right answers. Throughout the show the viewer is figuring it out along side the family. My favorite thing about her character is that she does maintain overall confidence even when she admits her mistakes.
Lauren Graham brought the character to life in a way I can't see anyone else doing so positively. Her sense of humor is amazing and really makes Lorelei shine I think. It seems the sho could've easily tanked had it not been for her role being cast right. (Though you can say that for many shows...feels especially true with Gilmore Girls given how much we really DO see Lorelei's flaws).
They need to bring it back …. Soooo many new storylines to explore!
Lauren is delightful, witty and warm. Happy Thanksgiving, all.
She is a lovely, funny, talented and beautiful woman. Lorelai's character was so succesful because of her charisma, I think.
Cannot wait for the Gilmore Girls storyline to continue. Please don't leave us hanging with a pregnant Rory.

Shes a great writer. I loved her already as Lorelai but love her even more as a writer.

I love Lauren! But it's TEAM JESS all the way. No question about it.
I just think he deserves better than what Rory has turned into. So team Jess, but not in regards to being with Rory. Lol 🤣 She definitely works with Logan if she would just get out of her own way. Should've taken his initial proposal. She honestly did amazing as a planning wife too, more so than a journalist. Part of growing up is admitting you might be better at something you never planned to do vs what you wanted.
I watch GG everyday and have see it well over 20 times

I will be scrolling through cable and I will always end up finding Gilmore Girls. Usually ending up late to where I need to go, just sitting there rewatching it. It’s very upsetting lol 😅

Honestly the cinematography was cool, it was fun to see the characters again but the writing team blew chunks all over the story.

Someone I know in the military, a guy, told me that a huge number of guys of all types watch reruns of "Gilmore girls" when they get off duty for the day because "Stars' Hollow" bucks them up and reminds them of what they are fighting for in the field. Come on, fans. You know Rory's baby daddy is Logan or Paul because one is married and everything her mother did not want for her in the process of reliving her own childhood and the other is so much like Christopher that it's almost incestuous! LOL.

I didn’t like the way how Rory has changed.
I remember Alexis saying how she was confused by the change of Rory, and cited that maybe it was because she seemed "too perfect". I feel like both in the original series and in the revival, they over-corrected and made it seem like Rory wasn't as smart as she was always intended to be written.

Easy there, Monarquista---no need to yell---no one is implying Lauren is not a woman. The word "actor" means "one who acts." Gender is unnecessary. The practice of adding the suffix -ette for woman gives, in the opinion of many (myself included), a connotation of smallness or less importance, so to speak. Lauren herself was probably asked before the interview what form of the word she preferred. Here's an excerpt from an etymological source: "In the modern context, where the tendency is to use words which are neutral in gender, the suffix -ette is not very productive and new words formed using it tend to be restricted to the deliberately flippant or humorous, as, for example, ladette and punkette."
