Valid observation... The exhaust sound is either lovable or embarrassing. But what do you expect from a car that looks like it escaped from a cartoon show. Maybe that's why she looks forward to a BMW! To be fair.... Many of the Ultra small car manufacturers, now offer electric engines which I assume makes for a superior experience - and more environmentally friendly. These cars are designed to bridge the youth gap of needing mobility and awaiting their license to drive a full size car. So in a sense, It helps to compare these to: mopeds or bikes and not cars... These machines offer safety, comfort and carrying capacity. They also give youths a chance to develop a degree of adult like responsibility when allowed to get behind the wheel of a car without increasing the risk. And probably, this all means peace of mind for the parents and hence, they are willing to pay more for such transportation instead of worrying that their child got crunched on a moped.
