He's referring to himself and how he feels like he needs to have some sort of value so that he won't be cast aside like he was in the past by Raidon Shogun, which is why he sounded sad in the Chinese version. He feels he needs to become someone, and that's why he can't let it end here. The English version makes him just sound like an edgy brat, but actually he's just a lost individual trying to give meaning to his existence and give himself a sense of self worth.
I'm not even a native speaker of English, but I felt like it still came across as the better translated version. I also felt like he was referring to possibly his revenge plot against Dottore, but that's obviously just my other interpretation of that, a bonus meaning, if you will.
