The upside of the new magazine designs is that, unlike magazines of old, there's no need to prime a manual blaster (like the Pinpoint) before inserting it. Which is something that young kids are likely to forget to forget. This is a logical solution, because most of the time, people won't be removing a magazine until it's empty anyway. There always have to be compromises, and you can't please all the people, all the time.

Not sure if its nostalgia or not but I feel that the raven and just n-strike/ elite had so much more personality than these newer blasters

I love my Elite Rayven and Motoblitz BUT i think im gonna pass on the N series. Pretty much all my $$ is going to Dart Zone and Xshot.
