Word of caution: If this is your absolute last resort, live or die gun, do NOT mess with any parts. Unexpected things can appear at the worst time when you start messing around with triggers, extractors, mags etc. If this is just a range gun... go ahead. If you are counting on the legendary reliability - use as it comes out of the box.
Use some emery cloth and polish all the trigger parts and put them back in your gun and you will have a 4 lb. Trigger pull.😊
Keep in mind that a Double Diamond connector as well as a Ghost pro trades more leverage for more trigger pull distance, which kind of cancels what Lenny said at the beginning. To accomplish the stated objectives that Lenny first stated can be done with the following: 1) Polish the internal parts. 2) Replace the OEM shoe with one that can dial out pre-travel ( or perhaps both pre-travel and overtravel). 3) Install a device that limits overtravel such as a modified trigger housing with an overtravel reduction set screw (now available for the 43x/48) or Ghost PRO connector. 4) Choose the appropriate striker spring to finish the assembly construction with a 4.5 or 6 pound spring. 5) Install a reduced power safety plunger spring [which won't reduce the trigger pull weight but make the pull smoother]. For about $45 you can purchase a new shoe and housing that will do everything for you. The 43x's connector will stay crisp yet the pull will remain short and as heavy or light as you want it to be. Again, the Double Diamond and Ghost connectors might be ideal for some, but they will produce a "rolling" break rather than the OEM connector's "crisp" glass rod break. .
I didn’t understand any of this. Would you mind sharing - what are the specific mods you’d make to a stock 43x mos? Makes and descriptions.
@@thernlydont know what brands he’s talking about but basically new trigger, polish internal parts, lighter weight plunger spring, lighter weight firing pin spring.
Just installed the connector based on your video. Thank you.
A couple more videos with that level of detail and instructions and you would have a certifiable Glock armorer's course!!
I love the stock trigger pull weight. It’s a deliberate enough of a weight, that I don’t worry about accidentally pulling the trigger. However, I just want a more comfortable trigger shoe, and perhaps a better travel and reset.
Definitely a better trigger shoe
Johnny Glock trigger shoe. Short take up to the wall, fast reset, but you keep the stock poundage if nothing else is changed
Try a serpico carry trigger.
@@GentleBrawl can vouch for johnny glocks. Have it in my 19 and 43x now. No one knows glocks better than him, dare I say even lenny himself.
Great video as always Lenny keep up the great work!
I did this a while back with your 3lbs trigger. Works well.
GREAT Video and Explanation!!
I was nervous about dissembling and installing the new Double Diamond 3.5 connector myself but with the help of your excellent explanation I did it with very little trouble. Somehow I did manage to unseat that small spring at the end of the slid stop but luckily I didn’t send it flying across the room when putting it back into place.
Thanks again for your video!
Quick way to remove your trigger pin on your G43X (works first time every time) remove your slide and then have a 5/32" or 3/32" pin punch at the ready, now first with your thumb raise the slide stop (against its spring tension) straight up and at the same time apply light pressure with your pin punch to the trigger pin and immediately allow the the slide stop to "SNAP" downward as you apply a very slight amount more pressure to your pin punch it's a 1,2,3, guarantee.
You’re a great teacher. This was fascinating, informative, and full of good tips.
You misspelled “salesman”.
These really do work and very affordable as Lenny shows. Have several Black Yikes in my Glocks and they work awesome!. Next up is the wifes 43x. Thanks Lenny for great products and great tutorials.
Love your videos Lenny I keep on buying parts from you to modify my Glock 17 love the way it works keep up the great work
Exploring budget-friendly ways to enhance the Glock 43X trigger is always appreciated. From my perspective, it's crucial to strike a balance between affordability and performance.
You can polish it and it makes a difference. Just search it if you are interested
Man, I can watch you all day showing us how to install parts into our Glocks! It's very soothing and relaxing. Keep up the great work!
You can give your Glock a very smooth trigger without replacing any parts. Al you have to do the polish the of the trigger bar and the connector where they rub against each other. You will retain your factory trigger pull but will eliminate that gritty feel to the take up of the trigger.
Watched tons of your videos. You do a great job. I've switched my EDC to a S&W but have a ton of Glocks. I'll buy a double diamond connector for my G43, which I'm giving to my daughter in law.
Came here to help plug your Double Diamond 3.5 pound connector :) It makes my G48 very nice to shoot, I recommend it to anyone.
Ghost edge 3.5lb is better than dd!!
I have no issues with the stock triggers. No need to change triggers. Especially on a carry gun.
We call the set of typical mods, including this one, "Lennyizing" your Glock. HIGHLY recommended, no failures in parts or operation so far, and the 3+ lbs (not measured, but very noticeably lighter) pull really help with accuracy. Lenny, you ROCK!
I have the Glock 43x MOS and i love it...
Wish I'd have gotten 48 MOS though as its the same price and longer barrell.
I’m with you as I got the 43x mod and still think about the 19
@@yungwey5021 get a threaded barrel and after market compensator
Just get a complete slide ass'y for a g48 mos, I read interchageable with 43x housing.
I just have to thank you for the ar 15 dry fire training dvd circa 2003. Im so happy you are living your life how you are. Moving out of California taking glock store to the next level. I moved to Texas and am also pursuing freedom and happiness for my little family. Me my wife and my 2 1/2 year old son. Carry my glock 17 gen 3 and it gets better year after year. Currently rocking a Valkyrie pl3 and a gideon omega 3 moa red dot. Aim surplus slide. Ndz guide rod and 15lb spring. Vickers carry trigger on oem bar. Oem internals upper and lower. Ghost bullet slide stop, and glock oem extended mag release. Lone wolf ext take down. Magpul carry magwel. Minor frame work and some Goon tape. Its been a slow evolution but im extremely happy with how it shoots and how I shoot with it. No pistol has given me the confidence of my glock 17 with a 17 round mag and a tyrant +5 extension. 22+1 of 124g jhp defending my sons future at all times❤ and it always goes bang. Always. Thats the best part. Ive had zero malfunctions in about 4 years of ownership. Very well cared for and daily carried. Well over 1000 rounds of practice plus 3 classes. ZERO malfunctions......I will be cremated and boxed up with my glock and placed on my kids mantle some day. I believe my spirit will stay attached to my weapon and allow me to protect my son and his future family even after death 😂
Thank you sir.
Side Bar... We would love a small Magill class in Beautiful Las Vegas Nevada!
I have a 4 pound trigger on my P80 PF940V2 80 and use pyrymid ultimate flat faced trigger
I leave my glock triggers factory stock , easy to get use to it . Thanks for the demonstration Lenny.
My carry gun is stock.y p80s have triggers. I prefer the stock. It just works. Once I started swapping connectors and springs and trigger bars. I had nothing but spotty Subpar Glock performance. I have a Vickers trigger shoe on the stock bar on my carry gun. It's perfect. All OEM internals. Rmr slide optic and wml. Goon tape. It's a battle weapon forsure. I'm 100 times better with my Glock as it sits than any other weapon I own. Except maybe the 10/22 nail driver with bsa sweet22 scope. I love that rifle.
Might have to get his
Gotta wonder why Glock doesn’t do this at the factory.
Glock has been selling guns in the US since around 1989 with substandard triggers. You’d think they would have fixed that by now. 5 pounds is OK as long as it’s crisp.
Still carrying my Gen2 Glock19 with a three digit serial number, one of the first model 19’s to be imported from Austria and it’s still going strong ❤
You are the BEST.
I think I want to try that Pyramid with my new G34.
I generally don't mess with defensive pistol triggers. I feel like accidents can happen when the trigger is too light. In a defensive situation you want to make sure your pulling the trigger and not accidentally pulling the trigger early if you don't need to. Training is your best trigger upgrade. Any trigger is usable with enough training.
I am not good when it comes to mechanical repairs or changes. Where in the North Orlando area could I find a shop to replace the for me the original trigger that came with my new 43 X MOS gun ? Your help will be highly appreciated
Another great video brother
Does this impede the safety of the stock trigger mechanism? Concern for appendix carry and accidental discharge with this being a much lighter trigger pull
Factory stuff meets lawsuit liability standards. Sometimes factory stuff can definitely be improved.
Fantastic!
Stock G43OG out of the box with a 4.5lb trigger pull, almost to soft when theres a situation that causes that adrenaline dump. 🤯
Makes ya wonder how NYPD hits anything with a 12lb trigger💪
The only good thing about that NYT2 is the reset. But it doesn’t justify the shitty pull.
@@jason_m_schmidt622 no doubt I have snub nose with lighter triggers 😅
Very informative and helpful, thank you.
I want to see you do a trigger job on a Glock20
When are you going to talk about the combat 43x?
Can you provide like to build a similar 43x to what Lenny carry's
Took a genius to design the trigger mechanism in these glocks! Your videos are awesome!
Hello everyone. Not knocking light triggers but I would not use anything lighter that 4 lbs for an EDC trigger. Anything less you are asking for legal problems if you have to use your firearm in a life threatening situation. Pre-travel, eliminating creep is all good but keep very light triggers are bad news for EDC. Competition gun you say, well knock yourself out as the range is where very light triggers should be utilized. My humble opinion and .02 cents.
what do I need to do to stop the sting from the factory trigger
I put a Ghost trigger in a G19 and it caused it to do double taps. I wrote Ghost, but without an answer. Any ideas? I removed it and it went back to firing fine
i like that pyramid gonna look into that
My g48 after 1k rounds through it stock trigger is breaking at 3.5 lbs.
Best way to get the roughness of the trigger down? Its a sharp trigger. Does shooting it help at all?
After 300 rounds put through my 43x the sharp trigger went away and my trigger pull weight went down.
Is that trigger standard on the combat 43x? How about a review on the combat 43x?

Would This also work on Glock 48 Mos?
Does anyone know why when removing the slide it moves a little to the right?
So, how much improvement came from the connector and how much from the lube? You did not do an apples to apples comparison.
Please. What's the Pyramid trigger part # ?
Would this work on the normal 43?
Polishing goes a long way.
A light action trigger on a striker fired ccw that most people carry iwb? I don’t think so.
This is what Glock needed to do… bc I be shooting left but on my Canik I’m spot on.
Caniks are easier to shoot and more accurate for new shooters in comparison. Glocks have a steep learning curve to accuracy and consistency in my opinion. Canik were easier to point and know were my point of impact will be. Glock just has that brand name recognition.
Lighter, but at what cost to reliability or safety?… Trilemma…
For the algo- Great video, extremely informative and helpful.. Saving people money.
What is the best upgrade to make the slide easier to rack on the G43x? I find the slide very stiff and hard to rack.
Talon grips has slide serration grips .....work great for better grip on slide
How many shots have you put through the gun? Proper lubing and lots of cycling will break it in. I have a 48MOS and added the tungsten guide rod, this made mine easier to rack, plus flattened muzzle rise.
Probably just needs broke in a bit more. Just make sure you keep your slide properly lubed
Find a different guide rod. The tungsten ones are pretty good to me.
@@pollock56thI agree I have a 43x first 1000 rounds she was hard to rack but after the break in period she racks smoothly
I cleaned my oem trigger bar and housing for the first time. All of a sudden, it started to have trigger reset issues.... Goood Times lol
Did your trigger group need cleaning ?
I have a Gock 30 45 caL WITH A LASERMAX GUIDE ROD LASER, IF I PURCHASE THE GLOCK43X, WILL THIS GIDE ROD LASER FIT IN THE 43X???....THANK YOU
Almost certainly not. I sold my 30 and the only Lasermax I have is for a 26, but since they replace the guide rod it seems unlikely.
@@oklahomahank2378 Thanks for the reply, i will try to verify what you have said...
I have a MOS. I'm trying to find a non MOS USA 43X slide. Anyone know where I can get one?
Now do G30 SF gen 3
Anyone have experience with the pyramid?
Speaking of the G43x, does anyone have serious issues with holster wear on the slide?
Not on the slide, but on the frame mine is almost rubbed smooth.
Kydex holster ?
Its a tool. Its not supposed to be pretty. Take some of the change out of your purse if you're concerned with it rubbing.
@@BWHeitmann I was worried about possible rust issues, Sizzle Chest.
@@propblast82nd Nah, belly band. I have two and it did it to both of them. Just the belly band and plastic tray in the center console.
I take it this will work onbthe regular glock 43?
Yes
This video is hidden, not showing on the channel. I only can across it from the link on the short
Same. That's how I found it
I am changing the trigger only on my new 43X. That should take it down to 4.5 lbs. I don’t want anything lighter. I heard one guy say that, “When you get into a self defense situation you will have the strength of Superman.” You don’t want a 3.5 lbs; that’s way too light.
Your opinion.
@@stevenp8198 And your point is. Virtually everything stated here is opinion. Like yours.
@@pauldavis9387 u like you i am not rying to tell someone "its too light or too heavy" im not a control freak on anyone else, but you seem to be the expert!!
@@stevenp8198 When did I ever say I was an expert? You seem to be mad at something. All I said was that “I” don’t want anything lighter. You be you.
@@pauldavis9387 ""you dont want anything lighter....." i guess thats where i get that you are an expert....where you assert that someone else should think as you do. Have you ever been in a self defense, have to pull your weapon situation?? You say that part as its personal knowledge and truth.
🔥👍
And as with all other modifications it will void your warranty. I have a Glock 19 Gen 5 and that baby shoots like a dream. Personally, I just can’t justify all these after market “modifications,” most of which can cost you a lot of bucks to have it done properly by a qualified gun smith. If you are a competition shooter maybe that’s another story re modification, upgrades, whatever. But I bought my Glock 19 for “up close and personal” self defense within that 3-15 foot range where virtually all legal self defense shootings occur. Everybody thinks they have to replace the Glock sights right off the bat. Come on, in Realityville, are you REALLY going to be looking down your sights with some scumbag charging you? Hell no you aren’t. You are going to be shoving that Glock out in front of you and busting as many caps on that perp as you have to. And at that point, a totally stock Glock will do the trick just fine. $100 sights, trigger jobs, tungsten guide rods, whatever, aren’t going to make one damn bit of difference at that critical point. Same your money on unnecessary after market “upgrades” and spend it on more ammo or a top of the line concealment holster. Just one man’s opinion.
Nicer triggers are probably great I'm sure, but if you actually have to use your gun in a self defense situation, you've made your case exponentially tougher for your attorney and yourself.
Bs. Because now EVEN if you train (like we all know you are supposed to); the D.A. Will now go after you because you're a "trained killer". So all these different BS court scenarios are just that BS. Don't be afraid to carry real hot ammo or big calibers or trick triggers its all the same. They can pull anything out their ass.
Left out, right in - a gunsmith told me that
I’ve got a lot of Glocks and for the purpose of accuracy and function for carry or duty, I haven’t found Glock triggers to be worthy of all the shit they get. But that 43X trigger is pure garbage and I’m absolutely changing it out.
I fully agree and admit that the glock firearm is one of the most reliable guns on the market in most models and trims. The trigger is perfectly good for self defense situations, however...it's crap. Better crap is still crap, sorry. It's reliable and that's what it was designed for, end of story. A "good feeling" trigger it is not
make a Glock 43x with the Sig Sauer XMacro capacity! that would absolutely beat the sig
great gun made even better
I love these videos need to find a more creative way to give us a link to a site that will allow you to keep posting this content I appreciate it. However TH-cam doesn’t like it but don’t let that stop you.
Lenny can sale a snow cone to Mount Everest...He always make me think I need something🤣
Using the overwatch trigger currently and not too bad at all. Much better than the stock for sure. Johnny Glocks better than them all
I forgot about Johnny glock, what is his website?
@@figliodihadestried typing that?? 😂
@dawwlo I'm like 300mg of thc in you're right tho
I do not really want a light trigger for conceal carry
Good luck out there.
The cheapest way is to polish your trigger bar. Johnny Glock has a video showing how and where to polish.
Cheapest way to improve any Glock is to sell it and buy a CZ, HK, or most other updated firearms from reputable companies.
Wouldn’t changing the geometry of the connector to make the pull weight lighter also make the trigger pull longer?
Some one said Trim the safety
Johnny glocks
This guys teeth crack me up lol
You open yourself to lawsuits if this ever misfires or is used in self- defense incidents. Don't screw with you triggers unless you are a pro shooter in competitions
4 months ago 😢
The best way to improve a glock trigger is to buy a walther, a canik, or a new m&p.
All of you people constantly swapping out already working parts to "improve performance" better hope all of those mechanical variables that your adding don't bite you in the ass if God forbid you actually need your gun to defend yourself and it jams or malfunctions. I will stick with my stock Glock that ALREADY WORKS!
Do yourself a favor and replace the plastic pin in the trigger housing with a metal one.
If your going to carry it, leave it stock😊
Sorry but I'll stick with my Apex triggers. Yeah, they're not cheap, but you get what you pay for with Apex.
I've always said if you have to modify the trigger on a gun; you should buy a different gun.
The cheapest way to “improve it” is to not F touch it. Period. It never fails.
Too bad you guys don't just sell the 43x frames by themselves
The pyramid trigger is one of the best available for the Glock is what you should say instead of making the Bold statement that you are trigger is the best not knowing what use someone might need, besides there's way too many similarities between that and so many other Glock triggers out there... it just immediately shuts people down if they know better
Or buy a better or more modernized pistol with a better trigger!
best way is to upgrade your glock to a 1911 or any other firearm with a THUMB safety and NO trigger NON safety (read liability).
