If you have difficulty getting the Magpul screw to thread doing it the way GearTester is, just turn the gun vertically standing on the barrel - let gravity correctly seat the stock on the gun so you can focus on threading the screw.
I agree - tossing the gun on the ground is pretty stupid. If you’re just training, why not place it on top of the target stand that you’re standing next to? Oh I’ve got an idea …. Buy a ‘sling’ and train with it.
I love this stock. The hybrid pistol grip and standard stock makes it very easy to shoot and it lines up for a cheek weld very easily IMO. I have it on both my Remington 870 Tactical and Mossberg 590A1. I'm sort of a Magpul fanboy I guess. A Magpul stock came with my Sig M400 Tread and my Ruger American Hunter 308. I also added Magpul furniture to my Romanian SAR-1 (AKM). I also use their flip up iron sights on my AR, all the pmags I have plus a couple of their slings. Good products IMO.
Thanks! The original stock seems like junk. The rubber spacer looks okay, but would be cool if it was the same green color? It sure makes the gun a 1,000 times better!

Also will it fit a Remington 870 Express versus a Remington 870 Wingmaster? also where can I purchase a magazine extension tube for the 870 Express in the 12 gauge world of shotguns? OK you sold me on the Magpul SGA 870 and I ordered it. Now, I would like to focus attention on the old fashioned "Action Bar Lock." My Remington Express Magnum has the most uncomfortable feel when engage the bolt. Is their a place to get a new "Wide Action Release?" Any help on this delicate matter would be greatly appreciated.
I have a Remington 870 Wing master. I’m trying to change the stock . It seems like my stock and bolt is a lot longer than I’ve seen on a lot of videos, harder to get to and harder to turn. I’ve heard some oil might help but no movement yet. Any suggestions?
Was a tough call between the magpul and the Hogue for my Winchester 1300. Went the hogue and love it (replaced the friend too) Think I’m getting the Hogue tamer pistol grip for my Mossberg 500 Cruiser next. Enjoy!
You suggested “Throwing Away” your old stock? Didn’t you also mention that it was perfectly fine, and nothing was wrong with it? I would say that either you’ve got disposable income, or you’re just wasteful. Why not give it to a friend, or save it for spare parts?

Any tips for removing the oval rubber allen bolt cover? Don't want to gouge it with a screw driver and it's stuck in their water tight. :O(

Most shotgun stocks are perfect for clays or birds. But for self defense or 3 gun they are often longer than needed

I got one on my Maverick 88. Just ordered one for my 870. The one on my mossberg has a plastic cover not a rubber one
WHAT ARE THE MOLDED SLOTS ON BOTH SIDES OF STOCK ?
These are used to weave a sling through instead of using any of the qd mounts.
