Sir I have a question that in my 10th book One thing is given that silver nitrate is not directly used as it ionizes to a large extent and deposition of silver is rapid and the coating is coarse. On the other hand, Na[Ag(CN)2] (sodium argentocyanide ) is used as it ionizes to small extent and gives smooth and regular deposit on cathode SO WHY HERE WE HAVE USED SILVER NITRATE AS ELECTROLYTE?????????
