Matt has ALWAYS been my favorite Anakin-and I don't hate the Hayden Christensen as much as the Internet would like me to... Matt just breathes so much new life into this pivotal character. Thank you Matt Lanter for voicing Anakin, and thanks JAT for giving us this interview.
Same! I think Matt and Hayden both did a wonderful job with Anakin.
@@professionalnerd4055 Hayden really didn't, in my opinion. He just did a very mediocre job. Matt, however, is spectacular. When I think of Anakin I think of Matt Lanter's voice.

I feel like they both play very different Anakin's, Matt Lanter's Anakin has just as big a place in my heart as Hayden's does, but the versions of Anakin they play are both so different.
Who else wants to see either Hayden Christensen or Ewan McGregor on this show at some point? Next episode is Catherine Taber or Ashley Eckstein isn't it?
I'd love to see Ewan and James together.

Thanks, my friend! As fun as that would be and as much as we admire and appreciate our roles with Star Wars as a brand, I think James and I both really enjoy the creative control to realize our respective visions of our personal projects. So as great as the "official" stuff is to do, there's plenty of pros to the "unofficial" stuff too. :) Besides, every project I've ever gotten to work together with James on has been more than enough of an assurance of quality for me. Knowing that James is a part of it, whether his project or my own, always drives me to deliver my best because of the level of talent James always brings to the table! :D
I completely agree. One can dream, am I right? :) In any case, just keep doing what you guys do! We, the fans, will be there to admire your work.

James, I love how you are keeping the show I grew up with alive through these videos. I love them. I was 6/7 when the Clone Wars Movie came out and I grew up with you and Matt as my respective Kenobi and Skywalker. If it weren't for the Clone Wars I don't think I would be the massive Star Wars fan I am today. I was deeply saddened when Clone Wars was cancelled and I'm still am. No offense to the people at Rebels but Rebels doesn't live up to the Clone Wars. Well I guess because of my nostalgia I don't see it that way. But I'm just glad to see many of the cast and writers still care about the Clone Wars. The new canon is kinda sidelining the Prequel era. I'm glad you are still discussing the Clone Wars and keeping the energy flowing. I am enjoying these videos so much. Keep up the good work! The last 2 episodes are by far the best!

James...another amazing show. Loved the Butch and Sundance reading and the shorts with Cat. What makes this show so amazing is the stories from the actors and the behind the scenes perspective of the show. Sheds light on what the feelings of those involved with it were feeling at the time.
I know you have several guests planned, but I was curious if Dave himself has been considered to come and provide his perspective on things now that he's free to talk about the show openly.
Thanks for the kind words, it's certainly a labor of love to do this show. Not sure if Dave would ever be on this show as he has a lot of hoops to jump through between Lucas and Disney and he may not be able to do that. Also, he is not in LA so coordinating it would be tricky. But ya never know. THX

Been gone all day and just now finished watching this. LOVE LOVE LOVE the Butch Cassidy & Sundance Kid. PERFECT choice. Had me *literally* laughing out loud (vs just saying LOL) and my husband wanted to know what was so funny (he was in his studio). Also the bits with CAT were GOLD...the "pear" and the "Angel" one made me laugh the hardest! And I *still* say that Mr. Hogan should turn some of these Clone Wars Conversation pieces into computer wallpapers. I'd slap the Obi-Wan and Anakin one from last time right up on my screen this instant. :) Thank you for all this work you've done to bring this all together, James. :)

Oh my goodness, this was so much fun! Matt seems like such a fun guy! And I loved the Butch Cassidy scene (even though initially, I thought the roles would be reversed too, but as it went on, I got it and it's perfection lol) And the parody scenes made me laugh out loud; I loved every minute of this! And the art, as always, is fantastic!

Just an idea, but one that might be very fun for you, have you considered ever dubbing the prequel films in a podcast type series? Maybe have Joe Hogan do art for it, and bring in the Clone Wars cast for their respective parts.

Hayden and Ewen were great in their respective roles but when it comes to everything else in Star Wars outside the films Matt and James are the definitive versions of Anakin and Obi-Wan. You guys are the best and I'm so hyped for the return of the Clone Wars!

James as always another great episode, have to admit I'm really enjoying the two parters that you share with use from time to time. Was good to hear Obi Wan and Anakin again, and even better to see how you and Matt played off against each other in real life.
Nice to see how much Matt enjoyed being on the Clone Wars and to hear how much, he took in from watching Dee and yourself in the booth when recording. Nice to see Cat pop in as well.
Every episode I watch makes me realise how much I enjoyed the Clone Wars, such a shame that you were not given the chance to bring the story full circle, and finish what you had started. Already looking forward to the next episode of the truly amazing conversations.
