She is the Top Female vocaliste in the world, major star in Europe, speaks fluently 4 languages, (Italian, French, English, Spanish) also Russian and Portugese. More than 30millions album sold world wide and almost unknown in the USA, i will let others explain her story, she is now 53 yo and just finished a world Tour in 2022. You now have the Lara-virus, no vaccin, no medication, she sings from her soul to yours....
This was one of 5 duets Jonny sang during his Stade de France 1998 concert in November 1998 after the FIFA World Cup - the 4 LP release is spectacular as is the DVD. Jonny is a rock and roll artist, who is very well know in the French speaking world.
Johnny gives Lara a huge gift by inviting her to his show at the Stade de France in 1998 for 3 nights!!! He loved Lara and he wanted her to demonstrate her vocal power and shine in front of 80,0000 people. Johnny in all his generosity.... On this third and last performance the sound of Lara's microphone is in her favor, it was at maximum (it resonated..) and Johnny's was lower.. It was Johnny who asked that it be done like that. Lara herself confirmed it. Know that Johnny was a vocal power too, but in this last performance he did not want because it was done on purpose, Johnny was very intelligent in doing that to make the song more dramatic and show their acting on this magnificent song that belongs to him. The desired goal was the dramatic side of the singing all in power but less than Lara (Johnny) with both next to him a more striking singing power (Lara) and the passionate play between the two. Everything was imagined by Johnny himself to end this last interpretation in beauty. And on top of that, this miraculous rain to make it a masterpiece, perhaps the most beautiful duet in the world.🎉💥💫
I am truly envious. I only discovered her about 15 months ago with her jaw-dropping Je Suis Malade performance. And down the rabbit hole I went, never to return.
Now talk about an ICON! Lara Fabian is definitely "under-rated". You'd be surprised how many people haven't heard of her or if they have, they haven't "listened" to her. They might hear it now & then, but really listened! She's amazing! For any singer/actor/actress/person.....life goals!!!! ❤🥰❤🥰
@@angiebby1122 Ohh i think you missunderstood. You are very right, she is under-rated. And she is also very amazing. I would put her in my top 10 singers.
@@garionth ok....🤭 thank you! I apologize if I came a little harsh on your comment, but some subscribers are very rude and mean even though its not their comment. But thank you again. I absolutely love her as well.
Yes, she is very popular in France. I paste the comment made by Menggarey Arktiks beneath video of her song "Je t'aime' th-cam.com/video/IYnFwUbC9A8/w-d-xo.html '...they change the 'Je' which means 'I' to 'On' which means 'We'. From I love you to We love you.'
@@toooldtodie i watch " the voice " in France on TH-cam and I seen she is a judge on there most recent shows. I can not speak French, but I pick up on little words that are common. French is a beautiful language and I love how they accentuate their vowels especially in music. ❤🥰
Oh god, I subscribed before you finished the reaction. I love your reaction. Lara is special, Adagio, Broken bow, you are not from here. You are going to enjoy her a lot. Congratulation. Great reaction.
Wonderful duo! Johnny is the greatest French artist of all time and the King of rock in Europe! His death shocked the whole country by bringing together millions of people, 10 months after his death a posthumous album was released, recorded before his departure, this album has the world record for the number of sales made in 3 days for a posthumous album (almost 800,000 sales in 3 days)
What is so cool about this performance is that Hallyday was notorious for his ability to enact this type of songs with deep, strong meaning in the lyrics. And obviously that night we found that Lara Fabian was able to do the same, act it out and keep up with the same intensity. You've really got to be a French native to realize how intense the lyrics are. I remember listening to the 1976 original release with a friend of mine and his sister, who ended up in tears at the very end of the song...
Your musical preparation and your way of expressing yourself during the explanations are magnificent. Very attentive to general musical thought, but also to details. Congratulations!!!
Oh yeaaah I'm SO happy that you react to this one !! So you don't really know the "background" so to say, of these both singers. They are (and were for Johnny as he passed a few years ago, such a disaster in France really) so very famous and popular in the French countries (France, Belgium, Canada for Lara as she lives there since the start of her career). They really are "monsters" of their time, very good performers and this show omg.... they just blow everything !!! So much intensity, power in their gestures, in their looks. Almost in "trance" giving it all for this show (you saw how they interact between them, so close, very sensual). They were amazing, and Lara was quite young !! Johnny had more experience but they both give such an incredible performance!! You saw it with your own eyes (and ears), they DELIVER!! You really should react to more Lara, you'll be amazed by her talent, her technic. Dimash is inspired by her, ADAGIO (if you didn't, check the one from Dimash) is an original from Lara and you have to listen to it !! As apparently suggested, you indeed must react to "Je suis Malade", very famous song (original from Serge Lama, covered by Dalida (such an icon also here) and then covered and really captured to make her own by Lara). You can also check "Je t'aime" and so many more !! Loved your reaction !! =)
Thank you for exposing me to these two fabulous singers. I did not know either of them before this but I loved your analysis and breakdown of the performance. Merci aussi for commenting on the beauty of the French language!
Wow, I had missed this video without commenting... we must find a solution. Mr. Hallyday's voice is really particular, very striking, there are few singers with such a raspy voice. As for Lara... what can I say, for me she is perfection when it comes to singing, or rather, interpreting, because, although she has a wonderful voice, her staging surpasses all that. Next fall I will go to see her in a concert, and I hope they record it on video so I can listen to it in detail, because at that moment I will not be able to do anything else but delight myself with her way of narrating the stories of her songs. Thank you so much Jessica for all the work you do, which has helped many of us to discover the details of many artists. A big hug
You did a beautiful job analyzing the stellar performance of these great artists. Your understanding of the beautiful flow of the French language is appreciated. Thank you for this video. Glad I found you.
Yes, Lara is The Resonance cannon and an Icon, but can we appreciate how deep and professional the analysis is? Great job, Jess, I felt like educating watching this.
Johnny Hallyday: Belgian who came to France for the sake of his music career. Went to live in America as well, where he even died. Lara Fabian: born in Belgium. Father was Flemish, mother was Sicilian. Went to France for the sake of her music career.
The informations about her are correct, but Johnny Halliday is french ! He's born in Paris and has allways lived in France. His father was born in Belgium.
Thank you for choosing a live version. It's more interesting the one shot, especially with such conditions: outside, rain, full stadium, large orchestra ... Singer, rocker, Johnny Hallyday, says: the taubind, has gone through 6 decades by surrounding himself with the trendy songwriters / composers of the moment. Here, Lara is his guest and, like all his guests, he tests them. If you manage to follow him that's good, and you may come back on other occasions (like the interpreter Florent Pagny), if you're not too bad, but he won't let you have the last word. It's always a duo and often a duel. You have chosen my favorite version of "Requiem pour un Fou".
You discover Johnny Hallyday. I understand you have not travel to France. He died in 2017 but was for 50 years the most famous french singer. And recognised by other singers as the "boss". He used to make performances and great shows in stadiums. His biggest audience was half a million under the Tour Eiffel for the national day on july the 14th. And he used to invite in his shows some friend singers. That explains Lara Fabian's presence. I like the analysis you made from "Je suis malade" by Lara, which i have seen previously. Love from France
A legend... Johnny Hallyday was born on Tuesday, June 15, 1943, in Paris and passed away on the night of December 5 to 6, 2017, in Paris at the age of 74. He is the son of a Belgian father and a French mother. In 57 years of career, he recorded around 1300 songs. 180 songs were turned into music videos or scopitones. 758 authors and composers collaborated with Johnny. Johnny composed 105 songs himself and also composed about ten pieces for other artists. He also wrote and co-wrote a few songs. Johnny also has 545 duets with 188 different artists on 214 tracks. His first 45 RPM record was released on March 14, 1960, but it was on December 30, 1959, that he was heard for the first time on the radio in the show "Paris cocktail." On April 18, 1960, under the "patronage" of Line Renaud, he made his first television appearance in "L'école des vedettes." 57 years later, 93 certifications including 41 gold records, 4 double gold records, 23 platinum records, 8 double platinum records, 5 triple platinum records, and 12 diamond records (including one double diamond and one triple diamond) testify to an exceptional career, crowned by 10 Victories or Special Victories or Music Honor Victory. And 2 NRJ Music Awards. Johnny is the most acclaimed French artist and the one who has sold the most records in France. The number of units sold is estimated at 200 million, including more than 110 million records sold. Imagine if he had had an international career... With 805,000 sales in one week of "Mon pays c'est l'amour" (51st album) (posthumous album), Johnny was ranked No. 1 worldwide in 2018. A stage beast recognized by all, Johnny went on more than 184 tours and attracted nearly 30 million spectators throughout his career, having given more than 3502 concerts. Johnny is the only French artist whose almost complete works have been recorded in audio and video. About twenty fan clubs (approximately 10,000 members in total). Johnny is also an actor with no less than 43 films (including appearances) to his credit throughout his career. He received a "Jean Gabin" award in 2004 for the film "L'homme du train". Johnny was a good actor, but the films they offered him were not good films, unfortunately.. He dreamed of being an actor and not a singer, but life had other plans, and fortunately so!! Johnny was a great friend of animals, he always had dogs in his life, the animal cause was close to his heart, in 2002 he performed a magnificent song against those who abandon their animals. The song is titled "Au bord des routes" from the magnificent album "À la vie à la mort." In 2016, a year before his death, he was on a motorcycle road trip with friends on American roads, and it was then that he found an abandoned puppy by the side of the road. He couldn't resist and adopted her; the little dog is named "Cheyenne." He also sang a song that evokes the brutal repression by Chinese authorities of the Tiananmen Square protests in June 1989; the song is titled "Tienanmen" from 1991. He was a man with a big heart. He was made a knight of the Legion of Honor in 1997, he has also been an officer of the Order of the Crown since 2001, but above all, he has been a knight of the Arts and Letters since 1995. He has sung in several languages (English, Italian, Spanish, Turkish, Japanese and German). By listening to his songs, you will realize that this great singer was capable of singing anything. There is something for everyone: rock'n'roll, rhythm and blues, soul, psychedelic rock, soft rock, pop rock, rockabilly, country, a rock opera album (Hamlet) from 1976 (This album was ahead of its time). A unique voice... His voice has continued to evolve over the years, becoming more and more powerful and precise. Johnny can be compared to the greatest singers in the world!! He brought together the rich, the less wealthy, and the poor. He brought together several generations. He gave exceptional concerts, with wild entrances like at the Parc des Princes in 1993, entering from the back of the stadium and parading through the crowd for three consecutive nights. (no one had done that before him). and he did it again in 2013 at Bercy, in 1998 he arrived by helicopter above the Stade de France, in 1984 at the Zenith he emerged from a giant hand (they had to break a wall to get the hand above the stage), in 2012 at the Stade de France he arrived in a giant flying ball resembling a mine, which landed on stage, and so on. Here are some songs: "Quelques cris, L'envie, Allumer le feu, Ce qui tue pas nous rend plus fort, Tu es elle, Que je t'aime, Je te promets, Quelque chose de Tennessee, Vivre pour le meilleur, Pense à moi, Marie, Laisse moi tomber, S'il nest pas trop tard, Ma religion dans son regard, Le temps passe, Si tu pars(2005), Mon plus beau Noël, Te savoir près de moi, Sang pour sang, Aimer vivre, Ça ne change pas un homme, True to you, Tien an men, Cadillac, Je ne suis pas un héros 'Bercy 1990', Requiem pour un fou 'Parc des Princes 1993', Derrière l'amour, Gabrielle, Ce que je sais, Moulin à vent, C'est du vent, Voyage au pays des vivants, À tout casser, Fumée, Comme si je devais mourir demain, J'ai oublié de vivre, Elle m'oublie, La musique que j'aime, Ma gueule, L'instinct, Diego 'Bercy 92', Animal, Un jour viendra, I am the blues, Ça ne finira jamais, De l'amour, La douceur de vivre, La paix, Debout, Pardonne-moi, Vent de panique, La loi du silence, Seul au beau milieu d'un lac, Sable mouvant, Ne m'oublie pas, Mon pays c'est l'amour, Made in rock'n'roll, Qui ose aimer, Autoportrait, Rock'n'roll attitude, Rester libre, J'ai pleuré sur ma guitare, L'amour peut prendre froid(duet with Céline Dion), Ne reviens pas, Rock'n'roll star (movie)duet with Fabrice Luchini(actor), J'la croise tous les matins, Quand le masque tombe, Et puis je sais, Pirate de l'air, Un rêve à faire, M'arrêter là, Essayez, Le coeur en deux, Entre chiens et loups, Un monde à part, A propos de mon père, Regarde moi t'aimer, Jamais(duet with Florent Pagny), Je serai là, Mirador, Les vautours, J'oublierai ton nom(duet with Carmel), Le chanteur abandonné, Toi tais-toi, Ne tuez pas la liberté, Montpellier, Il nous faudra parler d'amour un jour, J'ai épousé une ombre, Je n'oublierai jamais, Je suis nu je suis mort, Il me faudra plus de temps que m'en donnera la vie, Le bol d'or, Noël interdit, De la race humaine, Le pénitencier, La terre promise, La fille aux cheveux clairs, La fille de l'hiver, Sage pour vous, La tournée, J'aimerais pouvoir encore souffrir comme ça, La guitare fait mal, Parties de cartes, Pardon, Un cri, L'amour à mort, Prière pour un ami, Rouler vers l'ouest, Te manquer, Noir c'est noir, Love affair(duet with Kathy Mattea), Une lettre à l'enfant que j'étais, etcccc And many others.... 💯💣🗯💫🦾💪💥
Lara Fabian is a performer singer. She live her songs. If you watch her performance singing Adagio, Broken vow (both written by her), je suis malade, you are not from Her.... You will see how with her voice, her body and soul she project the émotions. She is amazing, je suis malade(with English subtitle) is a perfect exemple of what she is able to do. I'm sure you will become fan after having watched her performances. Don't forget her songs Mademoiselle Hyde, Llora, Perdere l'amore, her way of singing Caruso. I hope you will react soon.
Johnny Hallyday died of cancer, 3 years ago. He was a legendary french rock singer. He started singing around 1960 and kept performing until a 3 month before his death in december 2017. He is considered the last legendary french singer. As you would expect from a man who had a career of 57 years, at the top.
This is actually from a concert and it is Johnny Hallyday's song! You should definitely check out more of Lara Fabian's performances. She is truly one of the greatest voices out there and it is beautifully complimented by her outstanding storytelling abilities. By the way, I love your videos and how naturally you react to the voices you hear. Wishing you the best
Fantastic reaction! I love that this is the first Lara performance you're doing because her rock side doesn't get much attention in reaction videos, quel dommage. She is quite literally everything. Multi-genre, multi-lingual, song writer, singer, composer, actor, dancer, and all around phenomenal human being. She gets into my soul like no other, and the melodies she writes are the most beautiful and complex, without being showy, that I have ever heard. I look forward to seeing you discover more of Lara's vast repertoire! And she's still writing and performing to this day!
Good morning. First of all, thank you for your reactions, I watch them often and I appreciate them very much. (especially those on Mr. Dimash :) ). To answer your question, this video does not come from a film but from a concert in a large stadium in Paris. I was lucky to be present that day. The "star" was Johnny, "le Grand Johnny", the idol of the French. Lara Fabian was still a young singer, she had been invited by Johnny to do this duet. Thanks again for your interesting feedback! Michael
So awesome that you reacted to this this was a big surprise for me I love this performance you talk about intensity and passion and commitment to the storytelling just first-rate! True art and freedom of expression.
superb sharing... thank you... indeed, we cannot pass without getting to know Lara Fabian. she may be underestimated but we can't without falling in love with her. " Adagio ", " Je suis malade" , " je t'aime" en deux version, " perdere l'amore " , " caruso ", " Llora ", " extrait de yentl " , " you'r not from here ", " Love by grace ", " Que tu m'aimes " , " comme ils disent", broken vow " Tango" , and so many others all have a magic to really transmit to you. Good discoveries. Take care of you.
It's a song by Johnny Hallyday from the magnificent album "Derrière l'amour" from 1976. When Johnny sings this song alone in concert he puts on more intensity. Here on this duet less because he would have asked that we lower his microphone to make Lara shine. Johnny in all his generosity...
Good thing you like intensity. Lara and Johnny are (were) known for leaving everything on stage. Lara is a master at getting into the songs she’s singing. Whether it’s a sensual song, a romantic ballad, you name it. She gets into it, almost at a physical level, and she connects with her audience. Hope you’ll get to watch some of her concerts available on TH-cam. Probably mentioned in other comments but Lara has been trained to lyrical singing since she’s been a kid. She has a great technique for a “common” (as in not a dedicated opera singer) artist.
You mentioned the song "je suis malade", in which Lara Fabian shows all her artistic sensitivity. But the song in which she shows her incredible vocal capacity, which puts her in the forefront of singers, is 'adagio'. th-cam.com/video/jKtNuLG5jAo/w-d-xo.html
If Opera Singer reacts to Lara's 'Adagio', she might as well do a double reaction and react to Dimash's version as well. The comparison will be great for analytics
I would put her numerous performances about Caruso and Je suis malade above the ones of Adagio... But as it's about songs, as the technique she has is constant, it's purely subjective choice to decide which one is her best one :)
My favourite Johnny's song is "Laura" ( written for his daughter , the actress Laura Smet). Johnny Halliday is considered " the french Elvis Presley" for his contribution to french rock songs
You must react also to her singing "calling you" its a masterpeice😍😍her breath control and volume changing in belting is beyound this world...plzzz do a reaction to this👌👌👌👌
She’s considered one of the best singers in the world right now and is admired by Dimash. She has been collaborating with Igor Krutoy, who’s composing many of Dimash’s songs , for many years. If you want to see passion, Je suis malade is a the song to react to. Also, the beginning sounds like a requiem, which is a death march/ piece, so fitting since this song is about a crime of passion, literally.
@@manukeo5498 She's considered as one of the best vocalists/singers by her peers and vocal coaches so...yes. Her technique is impeccable and her interpretations are brilliant.
It is really strange I don't know if you know that Dimash idolized the one and only the greatest Diva our precious Lara Fabian and together they share the song and she co-writes one for the king, so it is nice to see the connection. Maybe you will do more reaction to her songs and definitely the song that they share together as a trio Lara, Dimash, and lovely Aiad next, please.
What a performance ! I'm french and i think i will never be bored by this video 😱. So much emotion and talent gathered !!! Lara the best french singer ever and what to say about Johnny a heavyweight of song (RIP) helas... Anyway you have to react to caruso and adagio (italian and english versions for adagio) from Lara and je te promets from Johnny. I promise you won't be disappointed 😉
I really enjoy the way your thought process is, I mean, you’re so eloquent and well educated in that matter, congratulations on your music perception and also on your very specific and analytical mind! We’d be great friends!!! ☺️
Can't wait to see your analysis of her jaw-dropping performance of Je Suis Malade from the live From Lara With Love concert. It was my gateway drug to her work. Astonishing. Known for her sterling technique + otherworldly performance craft, she calls herself a songwriter with a voice: fluent and writes in French, Italian, English and Spanish. 👍🏽
Johnny Hallyday is basically the French Elvis. Another interesting song to watch, if you haven't done so already, would be Evanescence's Lacrymosa from the Synthesis show, which includes parts of Mozart's Requiem piece with a modern take.
Lara Fabian is the queen of emotion, of ACTING THE LYRICS. She immerses herself in the story, and transports the audience into it with her. "Je Suis Malade' is simply a stunning example of that. "Caruso" has also been covered so many times, but Lara's version is the one that reflects the actual story the best, and after hearing that version, it's tough to listen to any other! Here's "Je Suis Malade" with English subtitles for your audience: th-cam.com/video/dVvlmpo5g9k/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for reaching into the performance and bringing out so much for us to understand. The dramatic context for the whole rhythmic suspense you explain so well is given in the French language Wikipedia page for "Requiem pour un fou" (basically, a man who killed his wife, surrounded by police and dogs, facing the crowd as the day breaks and he's not about to surrender). I'd love to see your reaction to Lara Fabian signing "Tango mi amor" live (th-cam.com/video/jEb6oo7Y00k/w-d-xo.html) - an astonishing vocal/stage performance with the intensity you found here (in French, with subtitles).
You are extremely articulate and catching up a lot as the song goes on. Personally I am not at all a Johnny fan but Lara is such a story singer and bang on emotionally and technically that it gives this duo a A ++. May be you should go on investigating Lara other live performances such as Caruso, Dis moi pourquoi je l’aime, Je t’aime, etc. Thanks for posting
You have found the Queen. You can pick anything from her From Lara with Love concert and be astonished. You will see why she is Dimash's idol. By the way, I have watched hundreds of reactions to various artists, this is one of the very best.
First I have heard of Johnny Hallyday, knew of Lara Fabian from her singing with Dimash of course. Loved this duet, so intense, or should I say trio because Jess was just as intense LOL
YAAAAAS it was so goood and what an amazing analysis! Lara is a breath control b e a s t. Someone else mentioned it in comments but Adagio / j.s malade are really good too. Mini suggestion - Sara bareilles' live version of Saint Honesty is amazing (she finally got the grammy she deserves.) Have a looksie if youd like! Keep up the wonderful work :D 🌈
Ok, this is probably the best reaction video I have seen from this performance! Your analyses are so authentic! Please consider reacting to “Adagio”, “Broken Vow” and “You Are Not From Here” from the “From Lara with Love” concert! (N.B. My grandmother was an opera singer as well and she was also very passionate about giving good advices on other performances) 🥰
Thank you for the reaction ;). Lara Fabian could have been a superstar worldwide (and in the USA in particular), she confessed recently in Canada where she lives, the reason why she didn't make it in the USA. At the time, she and Céline Dion had the same music company (Sony), Céline was already a star in America, when Lara had just arrived. Lara revealed that Céline Dion's team (not Céline herself) did everything to sink her/sabotage her career as Lara had the whole package to also become an immense star in America, and worldwide. The music company didn't want another huge voice to compete with Céline's, and instead of supporting her, of supporting her style of music/songs (such as 'Love by Grace'), Lara was forced to leave it for another company and forced to change her professional team. As a result, it was all over, the other company formated Lara to make her sing pop songs such as "I will love again", a style of music/songs for which Lara and her stunning voice weren't made for, they also wanted her to lose 20 kilos and asked her to go blond. Such a waste, as she should be as famous and successful as Céline or Mariah Carey today. Having said that, she has a lot of respect & admiration for Céline Dion, and is very happy with her great career. Her idol remains Barbara Streisand. (Funny anectote here about her : th-cam.com/video/auc0X3AV8fw/w-d-xo.html ) / Please react to "Caruso", or "Adagio". ;)
I know , your video is from 6 months ago. Im phil and im a french native. The song was written for Johnny Hallyday in the 80's. It was never intended for a Duo but johnny many time said that Lara Fabian share the same FIRE that He has , the passion and finally the voice and that only her could embody that song. He never sang that song with anyone, before or after that special concert.
It wasn't from a movie but the story is a bit like Bonnie and Clyde's story. Two lovers, out of law, who prefer to die together than being separated when they get caught.. Johnny Halliday died a few years ago, he was a big star in France. He has a unique voice. Lara is great too. She can sing in many languages. "Je t'aime" is one of her most famous songs.
The only time I’ve ever heard Johnny Hallyday was him singing with Celine Dion in French (which is both of their native languages) so I’m assuming he’s probably really well respected if he’s singing with Celine and Laura. EDIT: I just found this song is his own song. He was a French rock singer. Apparently he passed away in December 2017. And about French Pop, Celine Dion actually is the best selling French-speaking recording artist in history AND has the best selling French album in history with the album D’eux. I’ve found that unless someone who speaks English is a big fan of Celine, they tend to not realize she even has a French career or speaks French native (or even at all). In that sense, you could possibly say she’s underrated even though she’s incredibly successful. Half of her entire career (and arguably the more artistic side) isn’t known of by tons of people.
Love your love of music and singing. Looking forward to you discovering more of the technical and performance wonder that is Fabian. The performance of her cover of Je Suis Malade from the live From Lara With Love concert is best and has an English & French subtitled video here on TH-cam. For that song, especially, I'd say paying attention to the lyrics to understand her 101 performance choices is important. She is fluent and writes songs in French, Italian, English and Spanish. 🖖🏾
Ps. If someone recs a Fabian song and it was in the From Lara With Love concert, that's almost always the best version to go with. Adagio, Je Suis Malade, Caruso, You're Not From Here (an extremely difficult song she keeps sounding easy and gentle: would love to understand it better) and Broken Vow being the big candidates.
Your analysis are always so acurate and full of passion. I love that! Cheers from France
Thank you so much!
You are the first person who analysed so well this performance . Thank you very much.
This was one of 5 duets Jonny sang during his Stade de France 1998 concert in November 1998 after the FIFA World Cup - the 4 LP release is spectacular as is the DVD. Jonny is a rock and roll artist, who is very well know in the French speaking world.

And on top of that, this miraculous rain to make it a masterpiece, perhaps the most beautiful duet in the world.🎉💥💫
I love watching your Lara Fabian reaction videos!!
Thank you!
I had the privilege to see Lara's live twice. My favourite singer...
I am truly envious. I only discovered her about 15 months ago with her jaw-dropping Je Suis Malade performance. And down the rabbit hole I went, never to return.
R I P Johnny Hallyday légende du Rock Français !!!
I never tire of this video. Lara is the Queen of Emotional Storytelling in Song. No one better.
As i said in the live. Top 10 vocalist around today.
I paste the comment made by Menggarey Arktiks beneath video of her song "Je t'aime'
th-cam.com/video/IYnFwUbC9A8/w-d-xo.html
'...they change the 'Je' which means 'I' to 'On' which means 'We'.
Thank you Leonel! And I am so excited to do more reactions to her 🤗
Wonderful duo!
Thank you TH-cam to have suggested me this video. A beautiful opera singer commenting on a popular French song, It's all good.
Oh wow, what a cool experience! And you're absolutely right, Ms. Fabian kept up with the intensity of the song like a pro!
Thank you for exposing me to these two fabulous singers. I did not know either of them before this but I loved your analysis and breakdown of the performance. Merci aussi for commenting on the beauty of the French language!
Best analysis of this ever... thank you from france
A big hug
we love you lara
Not only do you do vocal reaction, but musical theory reaction. I LOVE that. You are one of my FAVORITE reactors! I LOVE Lara Fabian
You did a beautiful job analyzing the stellar performance of these great artists. Your understanding of the beautiful flow of the French language is appreciated. Thank you for this video. Glad I found you.
Thank you so much 😀
Tes analyses sont géniales. Tu es d’une beauté incroyable. I’m in love 😘
Yes, Lara is The Resonance cannon and an Icon, but can we appreciate how deep and professional the analysis is? Great job, Jess, I felt like educating watching this.
Thank you! I got excited that you were able to learn something from this video 🤗
I’d love to see your analysis of Lara singing Caruso. 🙌🏽
Yes! What an incredible performance.
Yes. From the concert from Lara With Love. Sublime phrasing. Yet another side to her vocal talents.
Yes please!
Your analysis are always interesting and meaningful !
He couldn't resist and adopted her; the little dog is named "Cheyenne."
He also sang a song that evokes the brutal repression by Chinese authorities of the Tiananmen Square protests in June 1989; the song is titled "Tienanmen" from 1991. Here are some songs:

Lara Fabian is a performer singer. She live her songs. If you watch her performance singing Adagio, Broken vow (both written by her), je suis malade, you are not from Her.... You will see how with her voice, her body and soul she project the émotions.
She is amazing, je suis malade(with English subtitle) is a perfect exemple of what she is able to do.
I'm sure you will become fan after having watched her performances.
Don't forget her songs Mademoiselle Hyde, Llora, Perdere l'amore, her way of singing Caruso.
I hope you will react soon.
As always. Excellent analysis and great video. Loved the song and your breakdown of it.
Yes, it’s from a movie. This movie was a classic French cinema of the 40s. Great 👍 reaction. Greetings from Vietnam 🇻🇳.
Which movie ?
I knew only this song before as he sang it alone in his repertoire.

Great analysis, Jess! Thank you! Waited so long for a professional reaction to this duet. Happy New Year! Love to you from Greece!
Awe, thank you! Happy New Year to you and your family 💛
Michael
Queen Lara!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This video is amazing, thanks for your reaction! Lara is the best. Je suis malade is also amazing and crazy yes!!!!!!
So awesome that you reacted to this this was a big surprise for me I love this performance you talk about intensity and passion and commitment to the storytelling just first-rate! True art and freedom of expression.
Yes, absolutely!
Really enjoy your analysis, I enjoy watching how much you enjoy the intricacies of artistry and your positive approach to all the artist you react to.
Thank you!
Great reaction as always, Je suits Malade is a complete different story, you will love the story telling of Lara Fabian
She goes that deep with every song !
Thank you for this reaction, the technical points you make and the emotions you share are pure gold. :-)
Awe, thank YOU for commenting such nice words ☺️
superb sharing... thank you... indeed, we cannot pass without getting to know Lara Fabian. she may be underestimated but we can't without falling in love with her.
I do love your analysis of this song and of the two performers. You're great in your comments.
Thank you ☺️
Bienvenue dans l'univers de lara
It's a song by Johnny Hallyday from the magnificent album "Derrière l'amour" from 1976. When Johnny sings this song alone in concert he puts on more intensity. Here on this duet less because he would have asked that we lower his microphone to make Lara shine. Johnny in all his generosity...
For just giving you a NOTE
This is the best duet Ever in FRANCE!!!
Both beautiful songs, definitely agree.
I would also suggest You're not from here.
If Opera Singer reacts to Lara's 'Adagio', she might as well do a double reaction and react to Dimash's version as well. The comparison will be great for analytics
@@juliedurocher2554 Caruso is a must too :)
You really need to watch Adagio, Caruso, Broken vow and Je suis malade from Lara Fabian’s “From Lara with love” concert.
5:22 you guess right. Most of French ignore that this song is based on the script of a movie titled "le jour se lève"
Love this. Just wanna put my vote in for your look at je suis malade sung by her.
Brilliant Analysis! Je Suis Malade will completely bowl you over! Thank you! Hugs from SC!
No , but she's a good singer 👍
Reaction : no ! Action with music ! Yes !COver :) th-cam.com/video/VZ_e3nKenu8/w-d-xo.html
@@manukeo5498 She's considered as one of the best vocalists/singers by her peers and vocal coaches so...yes. Her technique is impeccable and her interpretations are brilliant.
Normally, this is not my type of music, but they are both so passionate, it's incredible...I got goose bumps all over.
Wow! This was amazing. Immediately went and bought it on iTunes 😍 Love your reactions!
Amazing duo ❤❤
You should most definitely react to Je suis Malade- Lara Fabiab; it's an amazing performance!
Your analysis are brilliant.
Amazing, one of the most intense duets I have seen.
Johnny Hallyday is basically the French Elvis. Another interesting song to watch, if you haven't done so already, would be Evanescence's Lacrymosa from the Synthesis show, which includes parts of Mozart's Requiem piece with a modern take.
Très bonne analyse...
I loooove your analysis! Here in Quebec, Lara has been compared to Celine Dion many times. She really is amazing.
it was at the Stade de France in 1998 in front of 85,000 people!
I'd love to see your reaction to Lara Fabian signing "Tango mi amor" live (th-cam.com/video/jEb6oo7Y00k/w-d-xo.html) - an astonishing vocal/stage performance with the intensity you found here (in French, with subtitles).
wow just amazing....
Thanks Francis! And I have je suis malade as the next reaction for Fabian
Loved this duet, so intense, or should I say trio because Jess was just as intense LOL
haha I was so into it!
Great reaction
Ok, this is probably the best reaction video I have seen from this performance! Your analyses are so authentic! Please consider reacting to “Adagio”, “Broken Vow” and “You Are Not From Here” from the “From Lara with Love” concert!
(N.B. My grandmother was an opera singer as well and she was also very passionate about giving good advices on other performances) 🥰
Oh thank you! And so cool to have an opera singer in the family!
Jhonny and Lara are legend
Mr Holiday when he was Young at 1977 have a song called que je t'aime we need sweet lady your first reaction for her
Thank you for the reaction ;).
(Funny anectote here about her : th-cam.com/video/auc0X3AV8fw/w-d-xo.html ) / Please react to "Caruso", or "Adagio". ;)
Johnny is a french legend
I know , your video is from 6 months ago. Im phil and im a french native. The song was written for Johnny Hallyday in the 80's. It was never intended for a Duo but johnny many time said that Lara Fabian share the same FIRE that He has , the passion and finally the voice and that only her could embody that song. He never sang that song with anyone, before or after that special concert.
They are so into it.... Their body langage just kill me Every Times... what a performance.... Really sad that he isn't with us anymore....
I had no idea she made an album in French! And it makes sense, of course! Going to download it now, thank you!
