Always great when you highlight the town and the nearby country side of Wales in your videos. Reynolds and McElhenney showed a lot of good taste when they decided on Wrexham FC.
I love seeing more of your town! It's so quaint and beautiful. Thank you Tom and Phillip for the great video - I even loved the music. Excellent job as always. Have a good weekend!
The place reminds me of Portland 30 years ago; it's too bad the rosebud has come off the rose there. Thank you for the beautiful shots of the area. Google doesn't do it justice. It's certainly different from where I live, in the Snake River Plains of Idaho. We have an oasis in the plains here.
I just had a look at Snake plains, the oasis looks beautiful. Lots of unspoilt land there too! Judi, in another comment on this video also mentioned Portland. Google street view or images is good but you can't beat either visiting or video really.
I've said this before...reminds me of a cross between an American town and an American city...a patchwork of different vibes, a unique feel to it not quite like most towns/cities I've seen. It feels like an artist would flourish here...not cramped, but not too expansive where it feels a bit long to travel to a place within yet calm and nature is more considered. Sort of like Portland, Oregon, USA. The public spaces have art pieces, painted walkways and wall murals instead of bare expanse of buildings or walls. Tucson, Arizona USA also is like that in many areas. I love those sort of spaces...where modern ease and nature meld. That is my tribe, my safe space. I did go with my High school choir to Montreal/Quebec for 10 days in my Sophomore year, long ago. That was when they had 'Non' and 'Oui' on banners on their balconies and such...I think there was talk of splitting or something...but it was so different than what my home country is like, yet oddly familiar, too. I know...weird. It was a great time, and we sang with some Canadian school choirs in a competition and sort of cultural exchange. It was a blast..and we brought the sun with us, too. It'd been raining for weeks and the day we arrived in our 5 buses, the sun came out. Ten days later as we loaded the bus, the rain started again. True story. lol
You take the sunshine with you , wherever you go! Do you still sing? I would say Wrexham is a city by name now because it was awarded city status a few years ago but I still call it town.
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone LOL That is exactly what the Canadians all were saying..."The Americans brought the sunshine and now they're leaving and taking it with them!" I still remember a club/bar....two levels...called Oxygen. One level had rock type music, the other had more country/soft rock. Filled with smokiness, too. It was so cool for a 17 yr old. I couldn't drink, but they let us look around sort of sight seeing, then we left. I've never been a big drinker, so didn't matter to me..I just wanted to see it because it looked so interesting from the outside. I do still sing, but at home, to my cats. LOL My children loved singing to them when young, but I sang Peter, Paul, & Mary songs, not lullabyes. LOL On here you can look up Couch Choir....I'm in one of those. If you want to know about it, let me know. You can do it when they start the couch ones again. Right now they are doing original Pub choir things. They are amazing and from Australia. www.youtube.com/@PubChoir Pub Choir was in person, in Australia. During covid, in person was out..so they did those you probably saw during lockdowns...and submissions from anywhere on earth were sent in, and she is amazing how she breaks the parts into 3 parts...you just have to see them. They've gone on tour to UK and USA and doing so again...so we get in person feel of it, too. I wish I could get to one they do in the USA but with no vehicle and low income, it's tough to get to anything due to transportation and finances. US doesn't have a good passenger rail system cross country, nor public transportation of any sort that is nationwide and available anywhere. Europe does. We don't.
Sounds like you have some great memories of that place. I just looked up couch choir, are you in the pub choir page? Animals love people singing to them, your cars are spoilt! Shame about the transport🥺 do you get out and about much? I’ll keep trying to find your choir appearances.
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone I'm in the one that sings Fleetwood Mac's Go Your Own Way. I have green hair and a coral shirt on. LOL NOT the one with the green Shrek hat on...but near that person LOL Pub Choir are in person, hundreds or thousands of folks doing that in person one night at a venue! Because covid made it so they could not do that, she came up with Couch Choir during covid lockdowns...thus allowing folks from all countried participate, since they can make their recordings at home and upload it to them. Once they lifted, they started in person again, but then started touring to UK and USA for one night sings in different places. This is their second touring! It started as the idea of folks in pubs eventually singing together and having fun spur of the moment. Astrid is amazing. Her ear is fantastic and her voice is wonderful. I get out to get my things done...but I live in garden apartments and I have a balcony and small area I plant in. I feed the birds and squirrels as you've seen on my videos, and the quiet is okay with me. I need peace, color, nature, my kitties, to be happy.
Ok I will go look for that song in a bit and let you know if I find it. Covid was awful, I really got stressed with all of it. Hated the way it just made us like prisoners, so glad its better now. Glad you've got everything you need to be happy!

Thanks, it could easily have been another club though. I believe we were just one of many.

Thanks guys. I love Wrexham.
Nice to hear that, and thanks for your ongoing support, Frans.

Oh great! I've not seen much of Northern Ireland, just Belfast and Derry. I visited Dublin in Southern Ireland.
BTW...I CAN'T UNSEE THE TOOTHBRUSHES NOW!
Hahaha, love it!
