Ang mga tools na dapat gamitin kapag magpapalit ng timing belt sa isang sasakyan ay:
1. Metric wrench set - Ito ay kinakailangan upang matanggal at mai-install ang mga bolt at butones na naka-mount sa iba't ibang bahagi ng sasakyan.
2. Socket set - Makakatulong ito upang matanggal at mai-install ang mga bolt at butones na may payak na mga ulo.
3. Timing belt wrench - Ito ay espesyal na wrench na ginagamit upang i-adjust ang mga nagbabagang roller o tensor ng timing belt.
4. Timing belt pulley wrench - Ito ay espesyal na wrench na ginagamit upang mai-lock ang mga pulley upang mai-install o matanggal ang timing belt sa mga pulley.
