@@FoodhoIik many schools in Canada offer Master’s degree in biomedical engineering, and it shouldn’t be a problem since you have a bachelor degree in the same field. What you want to pay attention when choosing a school is research potential, professors and their expertises (if you want to go the research route); and also the courses they offer in the program if you’d like to go into industry after. You need to do research on each school and compare it to what you want to get out of a postgraduate degree. Hope this helps!

Hi! Biomedical engineering spans a lottt different fields, from DNA/RNA (wet lab) engineering to biomechanics, wearables and diagnostic imaging (dry lab). I’m working in the medical imaging field for optical coherence tomography so there is a lot of coding, image processing, etc. My undergrad was in Electrical/Computer engineering. Let me know if you have any specific questions :)
it depends. if you’re getting a bachelors degree in BME, it would take around 4 years if you’re full time consistently, 5-6 years for a masters degree (like she’s doing). you would want to get internship and work experience every summer so when you graduate you have enough experience to land a good full time position. it just depends on how much work you put into it. i’m currently a computer science major (junior) and will land an internship next spring and then one in the summer, and repeat the cycle my senior year so when i graduate it’ll be a bit “easier” to get a full time position. work hard play hard 🤍
For high school courses, Engineering typically requires you to take physics, chem, math. But it would help to look at the requirements of the specific program or school you’re interested in applying
hello, next year I'm going to study biomedical, I'm on vacation can you advise me what to do now and in engineering school in biomedical, is it necessary to have a tablet or a computer. Thanks ❤and good luck
hi there! I would say it is quite important to have a laptop/PC if you are studying engineering (you might need to check for decent computing power if you are coding). Not necessary to have tablet/iPad but it could be convenient for having all your notes in one place. I personally stuck to pencil and paper for my undergrad. Hope this helps!
Ummm it depends on the technical skillset you have as a doctor and what kind of engineering you want to do, most doctors are also researchers and work very closely with engineers, which is kind of the beauty of the field because there are so many experts
You create or help create without you knowing food the will let’s say not help us stay healthy. And you by your willingness to enter the field. More money will go towards this
Yes, pretty much all engineering disciplines require math and an understanding of mathematical relationships. In the real world you might not be doing calculations everyday, but this would be fundamental knowledge :)
