Technically you should say Fail to Reject Ho because you have determined there is a lack of evidence against Ho. You have not proven Ho in any significant way. With that said, many introductory courses teach students that they can conclude that we Accept Ho. Please be aware of the nuance regardless of how you choose to phrase the conclusion.
Reject Ho, however, is a stronger statement that we can justifiably make using the laws of probability and the level of significance of the test. When we Reject Ho we are concluding that there is enough evidence against Ho with the state level of significance used. We are willing to accept the chance of making a Type I Error, but we are very clear about the probability of its occurrence, i.e., it is equal to alpha (at least nominally).

Best Excel ANOVA video on TH-cam. I've been looking for someone to thoroughly explain each of the components and you did it perfectly. Well Done.

Alex Kocher Man, all his videos are crystal clear. Everyone else just talks about the P-value and doesn't really explain all the other components on the AVOVA table. What good is that?! I wasn't sure about the F statistic or F critical, but he explains it at the end. This dude is good!

you're awesome. Thanks for your help from a non-statistician.
Do you also explain how to test if we're even allowed to perform the ANOVA (and if not, the alternative non-parametric solutions?)
Also, once we've rejected H0 how can we add t-tests without screwing up with alpha because of multiple testing?
    Thanks again !

Really good video, explaining all variables very well...Tnx...I am however, still unsure why is the alpha value set at 0.05??? How does one arrive at this? should there not be a range for different data sets? its very small and surely your hypothesis will always be accepted? I am confused about this.

Very nice video. Do you know if Excel has the capability to plot the oneway analysis (similar to how JMP does)? Not just the mean but the continuous set of Y variables vs. X? My company does not have JMP (and will NOT purchase it) so I'm forced to use Excel only. It would be great if I could figure how to make box plots, etc in Excel. Thanks for your help.
