I love these types of storylines sonic being tails’ dad/parental figure just makes sense to me😊
I mean according to IDW ( which is Canon to the games) and the last Twitter takeover, tails is an orphan And was practically raised by Sonic
And in Archie, tails’ parents were in space.

I'd like to add that I love the detail of Sonic bringing rubber bands a long with the gloves one of my favorite design details for Tails is that his gloves are a bit too big.
