Hello. I need to ask a very serious & pertinent question, please.
If someone has severe pain in their shoulders, accompanied by clicking & cracking & popping whenever they move them or rotate them... But doctors simply say "Everything looks just fine"... Who or what kind of professional should they seek out??
It has severely damaged my quality of life. I can't even lie down in many ways atp, let alone exercise properly for good health!
And I do worry about the effects it's having on my overall health. Not being able to really workout anymore. That's an important thing!
And now my elbows and my knees feel stiff and painful as well. Like they are locking up in place. Leaving me to where I basically have to sleep with my whole body straight, arms down at my side. It's miserable.
I've developed similar issues that I have in my shoulders, but in my hips. With the popping and clicking and pain along with cramping up when trying to move them. Smh
It's crazy. And debilitating and depressing!
It's just always painful. But it started with my shoulders.
I've been active and in pretty great shape my whole life. Playing sports, doing manual labor, working out, etc. But now it's become hard to do a lot of things. Even though I'm still pretty young, and look as though I'm in nearly optimal form.
And all doctors ever say is "Nope, everything looks normal."
As if I'm incorrect, or I don't know that it's excruciating just to try to wash a window or even pour liquid from a full pitcher or just turn a steering wheel too far.
I mean it's as if my shoulders and my hips are popping out and back in when rotated even somewhat. 😔
I realize that might sound crazy. But you can hear it and feel it if you place your hand there while I move them.
Becoming desperate by this point! Lol
So I was just curious, can you offer any direction or suggestions on who I should be going to see or talking to? As in what type of professional? Other than these seemingly worthless M.d.'s?!
      Please
      Thank you.
Love the work that you do! 👍🏻

@@johnnydi2231consider a referral to a good Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation office (PM&R) followed by their referral to a high quality physical therapy office to focus on some of the issues. Possibly a rheumatology and/or orthopedic consult… hard to say without knowing what imaging/tests you have/haven’t had and what the results were. Lots of providers are quick to blow people off if there isn’t an obvious, common, major issue that they can find that aligns with your symptoms. If they can’t find the answer - many will just say ‘everything looks fine.’ But you are the one living with it and you know it isn’t fine. Keep seeking consults with other providers/specialists, it is frustrating - but don’t give up.

I’ve been incorporating this exercise 2-3 days a week with alternating rows because I only have one kettlebell for the past month. So amazing! I’m overweight, and I can already see the difference in my back, core and chest. It’s the only thing I’ve changed in my routine. My back also feels better in general, significant decline in morning stiffness, and I can do more pushups.

So if you don't like it when women do it, you have to agree it's also not ok for us boys to do it. So I guess we all should cover up and pretend we don't care about looks now, right?

If gorilla rows are challenging your arms then you're doing them wrong...!

Can you safely do this movement with mild Diastasis Recti?

Biggest issue is no strain on the stretched position, all force just disappears. It’s also difficult to gain any significant muscle or strength because nearly everybody will have their lower back give out before lats and other muscles get anywhere near failure

Problem with gorilla rows is that many ppl lean on the sitting kettlebell and therefore not forcing the back muscels to prevent spinal rotation

i’ve been practicing this movement as a solid part of my full body days in the gym for about two years, and my form and technique has gotten better. i’ve been advancing to using the free bar bc now i can handle the weight freely compared to before. i had extensive spine surgery in the past so i try to play it safe when i want to increase the weight bc sometimes my lower back gets sore if i load it too much. but this is definitely a great exercise !!!

Developed tennis elbow because of horizontal grip pulls such as barbell rows and wide pullups. So gorilla rows became an alternative that works great because vertical grips is easier on my elbow. Doing rows on a back extension bench is a killer one for your core too.
