Why is there a noisy hiss whenever you play the keyboard?

Hi, please can you help me with a tip or advice? Last week i buy the cp-5 by thoman. The sound make me crazy! Its tiny, metalic or wooden. I buy adam a5x monitors. The testreports are very good. I have all parameter from cp5 equalizer testet but i became not the same sound what you have! Which monitors are the best for the cp5? I play in my living-room.

Yes, the sound being generated by the piano in this video sounds much better than the sound generated by my CP5. If you could share some tips.... did you EQ this sound further after producing this video?

Hi Jonathan. This video was created several years ago, so I'm not 100% sure, but we typically do NOT add any kind of EQ or FX. We generally plug the equipment directly into the camera and keep the sound as “unadulterated” as possible to provide a true picture of the equipment. Our recommendation would be to ensure you are working with quality monitoring equipment and perhaps experiment with the EQ to suit. Always refer to the owners manual for detailed instructions on interfacing equipment. And do your research on best monitoring equipment for your instrument.

@@fullcompass Yamaha newer patches, are no where near as good as this. CP4 was last best slab piano from yamaha, the newer cp88\p515, just don't sound as good, and the cfx patch seems inferior to the cf3s

Hello there! I bought a CP5 and sound of the S6 piano is a little bit strange on keys C-1#, D-1# and D-1, Sounds like a metallic sound that are off pitch in some way. You can really hear that these keys sounds different from the others. Is there a fix for this problem, maybe you had a fix for it.
    Regards Johan

Thanks for the question, Johan. This is a question better suited for Yamaha's tech support. As long as your CP5 is still under warranty, you can call 714-522-9000 for free technical support.
