I did 2 master classes with him in Brisbane in the late 80’s and he’s still my favourite drummer of all time… still have a signed snare head he did for me 🤟🏻 Thank you Virgil, you are still my drumming inspiration.🇦🇺

As a bass player myself...can’t go wrong with Tony Franklin not a big fan of fret less basses but the way he plays Christ sounds great loved his playing in blue murder. The rest of the band kills it. Donati on drums...master time manipulator ...Joel...killer tone playing always looks like he’s having fun & Dino on vocals...where did this kid come from holy crap. Anyway as a 63 yr old I’d love to see something come of this especially with Whitesnake winding down. Just subscribed to the channel. Phenomenal!!!

Dream Theater??? pales by comparison...I will never be impressed with James LaBrie as a serious vocalist...sure, DT can play a huge pallete of material but they don't have a vocalist that is on par with their musical abilities...a voice like Dino Jelusick is one in a few Billion, and the collaborations he is part of are infinitely more interesting than what DT is going to be able to generate unless they (finally) get a GREAT singer.
Virgil is way too much for DT. They wanted Mangini from the beginning and all the auditions were like “hey world, look how many options we have to choose”

Dino, you are extremely gifted and your singing is pure energy and emotion. The textures and colors of your voice are only shared by a very limited number of singers in history... but just as an opinion, I think you need to have a band behind you... that is not Animal Drive... you need a band and bandmates in a totally different level playing but very specially, COMPOSING for you to be able to reach and stay in the top. You can pick here and there, doing covers and cameos, and we are enjoying this a lot, but you need to be in your permanent big band to have the great career that your voice deserves. You need somebody composing for your voice, that can create classics of your band, where your voice will be the one to imitate.
Trust me, I hate doing covers, this was only in lockdown. I'm fighting my ex label over legal issues so I'm not releasing anything but the new line up and new stuff is completely different animal than what AD used to be... Songs and composing is on a different level, the first AD album was done in 2 months and I was only 23. Now I'm almost 30 and things have changed :) still I think "Deliver me" from the debut AD album is one of the best tracks I ever wrote.
I have seen Whitesnake 47 times, starting in 1978 (yes I know this is a Purple song) and every tour since. I honestly would not be sad if Dino were to step in to Mr. Coverdale"s shoes. Trust me I never thought I would say that.

Dream Theater??? pales by comparison...I will never be impressed with James LaBrie as a serious vocalist...sure, DT can play a huge pallete of material but they don't have a vocalist that is on par with their musical abilities...a voice like Dino Jelusick is one in a few Billion, and the collaborations he is part of are infinitely more interesting than what DT is going to be able to generate unless they (finally) get a GREAT singer.
Virgil is way too much for DT. They wanted Mangini from the beginning and all the auditions were like “hey world, look how many options we have to choose”
He overplayed though. He always overplays everything. Head of teaching at the "more is more" school for sure.
Great version of a Deep Purple classic, and, frankly, any track with Virgil Donati on drums is a must listen track for me. Well done!

Dino, you are extremely gifted and your singing is pure energy and emotion. The textures and colors of your voice are only shared by a very limited number of singers in history... but just as an opinion, I think you need to have a band behind you... that is not Animal Drive... you need a band and bandmates in a totally different level playing but very specially, COMPOSING for you to be able to reach and stay in the top. You can pick here and there, doing covers and cameos, and we are enjoying this a lot, but you need to be in your permanent big band to have the great career that your voice deserves. You need somebody composing for your voice, that can create classics of your band, where your voice will be the one to imitate.

Trust me, I hate doing covers, this was only in lockdown. I'm fighting my ex label over legal issues so I'm not releasing anything but the new line up and new stuff is completely different animal than what AD used to be... Songs and composing is on a different level, the first AD album was done in 2 months and I was only 23. Now I'm almost 30 and things have changed :) still I think "Deliver me" from the debut AD album is one of the best tracks I ever wrote.
I have seen Whitesnake 47 times, starting in 1978 (yes I know this is a Purple song) and every tour since. I honestly would not be sad if Dino were to step in to Mr. Coverdale"s shoes. Trust me I never thought I would say that.
