Well Done! Not only have you well explained but also saved my day 🙂. Nevertheless I have a rectangular shape with asymmetric sides meaning that the orientation of the part is an additional challenge. Would you have some information on that too? Many thanks !
Thank you for this great video! I had tried for hours to get this feature to work the way I wanted it to. I had basically already given up. But with the help of your video I was able to solve my problem easily.
Hi Simon, great video as usual, well played! Is it possible so make one video related how to make advanced drawing template (the ultimate tutorial guide), for instance how to automatically link the mass, date, to pick up designer name from the PC name, etc? Some of these features were not available in NX12 ...
I never knew about the enter key trick! May I ask you, how would you go about constraining a spline to an exact length? For instance, you have a 100mm cable or string and when you move the endpoints at different locations, the cable automatically updates its shape so that its length is always 100mm long. This is very useful to simulate real life situations, where you have a cable attached to moving parts, and you want to show what the cable looks like when those parts are moved in different positions. I haven't found anything in the routing application that can do that.
@@Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training What is this "new feature automation"? Anyway, you lead me to do more research and found out that this can be done with a tool called Optimization. Setting the total_arc_length of the spline as objective, and the spline endpoint G1 magnitudes as variables, it will converge the spline length close to the target length. Not an ideal workflow, but can be done.
Seems there are limitations in the complexity of deformable parts. Doesn't see to like Patterns. I have a corrugated tube that I applied Global shaping with curves. I thought I could create a deformable part from this.
👉👉👉What do you think about this trick? Have you ever had problems with the deformable part creation?

Thanks for the comment! (:
INTERESTING video ,it's definite,y a handy tool for me ,thank you

Really good content,thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it
great! really good...
Thanks a lot!

Hi, no that is not possible ootb. I believe the new feature automation can do it, but it required some preparation of course

Hi, solidworks has smart component, is there something similar in nx?
Hi, what is meant by smart components?
@@Bizlearn_Siemens_NX_Training th-cam.com/video/OcqAimoYbak/w-d-xo.html - for example
there are similar opportunities in NX
