Thanks for the info. I'll be there in May. I'm hoping to catch a spadefish and a red grouper
Never know you could find me out there. I've been known to show up out there.
Subscribed and liking take us to more fishing places i do all my fishing in SW Florida on Charlotte harbor im always up to learning some other places to go im thinking even the canals along alligator alley do you buy your fishing bait and equipment at Fishin Franks in Port Charlotte? I currently live in Massachusetts but am moving to PG permanently soon
I normally buy my bait at the bait station in Fort Myers before I do any saltwater fishing anywhere. If I'm going north to places like Venice or Tampa, I'll buy from a local bait shop before I go up that way. Otherwise, I'll just try catching bait. I've been to Fishin Franks a few times and like twice before their old bait shop burned down. I mainly fish a lot in Fort Myers, but I'm likely going to start doing some freshwater videos.
The spillways on burnt store road are closer and have tarpon and snook to Punta Gorda
And just don’t vote down here like a typical masshole
@DenisBurke-vb6vh canals on Burnt store are all part of Alligator creek?I have never had much luck there but soon will be a resident of Eagle Point park with its own fishing pier so I can still fish alligator gator creek when not on the harbor.
Great informational video. How should I fish it in early March? Live bait rigs? Artificial?
Live bait requires less work unless you like casting and retrieving. We like to free line live bait with the moving current.
Show us catching the fish!
Interesting, i was there last october and it never struck me to fish in the exact same place you are i parked a little further up where the power lines are be back down to PG in September so think i might give it a go.
Or was it an alligator? Either way i remember the talk about it.
For a $10.00 fee to get in think it might be worth it
And isnt that the same place Floridas biggest Crockodile lived?
The title sounds bizarre but "Ding Darling" is a very unusual place. Wading with a cast net might be OK on the bay side, but the "Refuge" side has Alligators. No wading allowed!
@woodystemms3799 Yeah, the title is from how they call it on Google.
