Your video cleared up so much for me regarding at an scaling and dual wielding bandits vs scavengers swords. I also like how you included the bull goat legs / arms- Since the black raptors leaves you kinda weak ( really feeling it in late game) that’s a great compensation and really helps with poise. Everyone else’s bleed builds aren’t addressing how weak black raptors is and how to balance it. Been following your videos since the day I bought elden ring.

Weapons: dual wield scavengers occult curved sword with seppuku
Alternate: dual wield 1 scavengers with 1 bandits curved swords (occult with seppuku on both)
Talismans:
4: lord of bloods exultation,
rotten wing sword insignia or millicents prosthesis OR both if you have access to both,
If not, then get the rotten winged sword insignia and replace the millicents prosthesis with ritual sword talisman
Another option for that spot is the dragoncrest greatshield talisman
For the fourth spot, use the claw talisman
Tip: jump attacking is really good with this build
Gear:
Helmet: white mask
Chestpiece: raptors black feathera
Legging piece: bull goats greaves
Gauntlet: bull goats gauntlets
Flask of woundrous physick:
Thorny cracked tear
Opaline bubble tear
Another option:
Greenburst crystal tear
Stats:

40 vigor
80 arcane

Curved swords are good for late game and ng+. For early game weapon that stun lock mobs are better, it saves lots of frustration. Even rivers of blood when your stats are low you need to dance around Omans and Mausoleum knights just fade from Corps piler on first hit. Put double slashes on great sword like flamberge and it keeps mobs stun locked during the double slash skill. My recommendation is use stun lockable weapons like flamberge on occult with double slash until you get arcane above 50 and most of supporting gears.

Loved this video, really great explanation and demo about occult. I’m toward the end of my first play through and have locked myself out of bull-goat, white mask (invasion quests at VM and a few other items…growing pains) but it sucks to miss out on the build benefits.

Awesome builds, thanks! It would help a lot if you’d also mention hard criteria. I was planning on doing this build but was too low level. Now I’m at a stage where I can get everything only to find out that the Bull-goat armor is not obtainable anymore as I didn’t complete the Patches quest line before completing Volcano Manor.
if you can use the veteran's set pieces then use those, if not just use radahn's armor pieces

My 2cent. I may be unpopular with the way how I enjoy the game, but one of the two ways I enjoy this game is climbing NG(+) without restricting myself to any 125 meta PvP, but as well without hours of genociding poor acrobatic antopomorphic frogs with a relic sword. Just leveling how it goes with the goal on do all rememberances per world and increase the number of the journey.
This build is one of, if not the best build for this. Being around 205 I've first-tried everyone on Journey 4 (NG+++), and this is a pretty modest level for that content. And if you're planning for that from the get go, cause you're like me, I got a couple of advices:
1. Obviously you'll naturally have two scavengers pretty soon.
2. On your first playthrough *challenge* Millicent instead of helping her. The reason is simple: you are planning to get both, and Millicent prostesis works with winged sword insignia, while rotten winged sword insignia does not. This way you'll immediately get the proper talisman setup and just need to upgrade wing insignia to a rotten one on the next playthough.
3. As for the attributes, get them as video suggests minus 5 for Godrick great rune, cause once you get the build, you'll rarely die and have plenty of arcs. Then level faith to 20 plus Godrick for Golden vow. Then level mind for comfortable buffing, use cerullan hidden tear before that. Then level vigor as you feel comfortable (without exceeding 55, because Godrick great rune), and level endurance past medium load, because first, you need stamina, second, you'll eventually have light load. Cap it at 45 plus Godrick, then stamina stops growing in a meaningful way. And only then go for Dexterity for some more attack power.
4. Obviously take Dragon Communion Seal for incantations. For Golden Vow and FGMS you don't care about scaling, but there are times you want chants that do scale:
4.1. That frenzy sniper rifle, don't remember the name. I have no idea how to even get to the haligtree with this build without it, cause who will snipe snipers on the roofs without it for you.
4.2. Is it just me, or that ulcerated tree spirit right before millicent quest is a pain in the ass. I just switch to fire scorpion, flocks or faithful canvas talisman (chants power), flame-shrouding cracked tear, cerullean hidden tear, and burn him to ashes with agheel breath.
4.3. There can be better spirit ashes than mimic, but not on your NG+ run with unrestricted leveling, So your evil twin will use the incantations as well -- equip him with Rotten breath, it may help )
5. On Journey 4 (NG+++) I'm still good with just one Sepukku on offhand and Bloodhound step on mainhand for convenience. When their health grows a couple more times I may need other sepukku, but not now. The damage is still good.
Also don't sleep on Flame, cleanse me for your PvE journey. Two most annoying statuses you can get rid of without crafting pills.

@@dexterbibera3110 yup. In some places being able to pull an enemy is invaluable.
My biggest issue with range is that spells and chants don't have bow-like free aim and i can't disable fire turrets in the catacombs with them, and bows don't have damage on not-dedicated builds. And carrying both is too much on the equip load and hassle on the weapon switch process.

However, I wanted to ask how the 6 hit L1 of the godskin peeler compares to the 4 hit L1 of the curved swords. Does it make a difference for multiple bleed procs, potentially pulling ahead in damage comparision for Potential NG+7 Fights (i.e. Malenia)?

I followed your dragon build but im in endgame now so went on my own for this, I ended up going with a blood dragon that uses RoB typically
seeing this tho, I might want to grab a weapon that I can put occult on to max my arc usage

For those of you who are having trouble getting the bandits sword to drop, try equipping the silver scarab and use a silver pickled foul foot. It's almost guaranteed that you'll get a sword every other kill. Also I love your builds dude. I'm currently running dual bandits.

This is probably the best Elden Ring video I have come across since I got the game. I will use it because I struggle with Radagon/Elden Beast.
Good stuff man, I been using 2 bandit curved GS at +25 with both using Seppuku with Blood, and they are good but now that you showed what Occult can do with it, I'll be switching over to Scaveger's x2 with Occult at +25, and will respec for 80Arc. I'm in NG+ atm and around lvl 206 (don't really care about the meta bc using this toon to complete the 3 required endings legit without using save files). Currently using Duelist Great Axe with the Thorn GS (forgot the name of it) with both blood affinity and they are pretty decent but wanna get back to melting bosses now so here we go :) Thanks for the video!
Im doing the 3 endings too and ive done the ranni one and lord of frenzied flame. Wen i get the default ending i platinum elden ring. Plus great as always much apreciated!! Time to say goodbye to double plus 10 rivers of blood

All I need to do is get the rewards some quests made me choose one or the other and pick the other option. The last legendary armament I needed but failed bc the city was blown to shit and a couple questlines like Varrie,Patches and GoldMask

On a first playthrough, honestly you should level as high as possible, just to see how far you can organically go.
When you make a new character, then do a build and see how low level you can be and still do the content.
Here’s something for people that need help. Change your name to a weapon you want and go into pvp or put down a summon sign at the first step area.

Hey! I'm really enjoying following your build and this is my first playthrough, however while collecting the leg and gauntlet gear to upgrade from the rot I realized I may have killed patches. Would you suggest I just stick with the rot gear or is there alternatives for the bulk goat set.

About occult and blood scalings.
I made an arc/str build to use Mohgwyn spear and Marais greatsword.
Then I thought that I needed to add something fast to my arsenal.
And powerstancing blood Gargoyles twinblades was the answer. They got damage on par Occult scavenger curved swords and blood buildup of 132 unbuffed. Works pretty good for me

Just a clarification though: coming from the starting samurai guide, am I correct to assume that I need to respec my stats considering that I will have to drop my high dex (which was recommended in the early samurai build), before I transition to this late game build (which recommends only arcane)? Yes, always respec for new build. It is way easier that way.
Great analysis. Aside from some tough fights, is there really a need to apply Seppuku twice? Not the most fun ash of war, particularly when it’s overkill. I’m wondering if it might be smoother gameplay to powerstance rivers of blood in the main hand and a scavenger sword in the offhand (or alternatively use some faith spells) at 80 Arcane on an occult build, using seppaku only when needed. Not as meta but maybe more fun for regular enemies.
That’s a good point. You have me wondering the same thing. The only thing is, you wouldn’t be able to power stance a curve sword with RoB since they’re two different weapon types. So the other weapon would have to be something like the nagakiba or uchigatana. So sepukku on the one in your left hand, and then RoB in the right. Also, now that I’m thinking about it, I’m not sure if the jump attacks on power stance katanas have the four hit combo which leads to the quicker bleed build up. But I’m with you on seppuku not being a very fun AoW. Maybe katanas are better for pvp? I wouldn’t know, since I’m new to the game and trying to get the finishing touches to my build, which is on an int/faith character. Just got to mountain tops of the giants. I think I’m going to try this one next though. Sorry for the long response. Just got me thinking. :)

Best for the scavanegers to maximise the damage from the claw talisman which is an extra 20% dmg
I don't like jump attack and feel u gotta get so close to hit all attacks. RoB ash of war corpse piler it's so good I just used that. Have a sword to get seppuku but don't even. Used the sword so just have lowest weight possible sword that would take seppuku.

Great guide ! Those who like the challenge can also swap the Ritual Sword Talisman for the Red Feathered BranchSword Talisman as it gives 20% Attack power when HP is below 20% in return of being one shot indefinitely lol
Much better explained than Ragegaming's OP !!!!1 Bleed Godly OVERPOWERED BUILD but essentially the same build which i have to say is pure cancer to play 😅 it's beautiful to see in action but it's just genuinely overpowered. Elden ring is by far the most friendly game in the series for offering powerful options to the player but a very fast 4 hit attack animation and hundreds of bleed buildup per individual swing is just insanity. Almost removed the fun of my ng3 run, most bosses may aswell just have a one press button prompt to skip the encounter. The massive benefit to this build is that even on NG 8+ it's still going to chew up everything it used to with only slight reductions to efficiency because a significant portion of your damage is based off the enemies max hp. They either need to adjust the buildup from jump attacks or make bleed procs have a short immunity to buildup while it procs so you aren't just bleeding the same enemy multiple times in one attack that takes barely any time or risk to pull off. That jump attack will outdps almost any other option in this game even without bleed. It costs O FP and is about as easy to land as any normal L1 attack with barely any recovery frames. You can just hop around and blender about 90% of the game and 95% of the bosses.
with 65 dex and 65 arc my blood bandits CS at + 24 is still getting higher numbers than my occult scavengers CS at + 24
not sure if you're just doing the math wrong, or if you're numbers are outdated, but my total AR with the blood bandit CS is 531 and the occult scavenger is at 528. i see no reason to run the scavenger.
Probably because the build is about building blood loss as the main dps and not the weapons AR. Weapon AR means nothing when relying on bleed damage. Maybe against enemies that are immune to bleed the AR will matter more.
@@seym0rebutts exactly my point. im doing MORE damage AND bloodloss build up with bandit using a blood infusion. than i am using an occult infused scavenger. its better in every way. at least with the stats im running.

I just realised a way to getting both tailismans from millicent's questline on playstation
When you get to the part just before you can make the choices, save the game and upload it to the cloud or a usb drive
Then make either choice and get one of the talismans, drop it to a friend that can hold it for you and reload (overwrite) the prev save you uploaded to make the other choice and essentially getting the second tailisman

I know this video is a year ago, but I just recently acquired a Playstation, thank god its available off the shelves now in my country. I got Elden Ring with it too, I've been playing it for a couple of days with your Samurai build as well, I think this is the next logical progression.
With that said, is there anyone who can spare their Scavengers curved sword for me, that'll be amazing!
I know that higher blood loss buildup is good, but how do you measure the difference when it comes to actual damage between, say, 280 and 108. In other words, how does it tie into AP? And I guess the other factor is how many times can you attack in a given period of time. One extra hit I think easily compensates for lower AP. So type of weapon and stamina, etc. are critical considerations when choosing the best bleed weapon.
I love this video! I now have two Scavenger swords set to occult and using seppaku (although I don’t always apply seppuku on the offhand depending on the challenge). But I’m still not clear in PVE whether RoB with it’s amazing ash of war isn’t better on the right hand with an occult, say uchigatana, on the left with Seppuku. Another video perhaps?
curve sword and twin blade had higher status move value on jumping L1. For RoB YOU are gonna focus on its AoW, it is annoying to reapply seppuku during fight if you are just going to use L1 occasionally.
