Your video sold me on this Phalanx title. The one reoccurring problem with Phalanx's excellent games is their failure to include rules intrinsic to game play, that somehow get overlooked that are very apparent during play. That being said, their original Fief game with the absolutely "essential expansion pack"...(beating my Fief drum again)...is the greatest 4 to 6 player game I have ever played! An area control game accomplished thru essential military, economic and potentially allied strategical play , the everpresent feeling of historical presence, the play of Fate Cards and Battle Dice (where chance may force a change of player strategic direction), add in marriages of political and strategic alliance, along with both humorous and strategic individual family Nobility (card) abilities, and throw-in family alligency choices of Pope versus King affiliation , adding additional choices of military units for purchase, optional Crusades and so much more additional well integretated elements. A two to three hour plus game with swings of fortune and constant back-stabbing elements or opportunities to utilize to snatch victory away from defeat. Play only with friends that love to dispise your cleverness and can't wait to play Fief with you again!
Did you mention how beautiful the cards are? I would buy this for the art alone, box is nice too. Gamewise sounds like a very good spot in historical gaming, light, straighforward battle and not too much battle. Perhaps a good introduction for new (euro)gamers into the niche.
Here's hoping it has a better insert than Huang. I love Huang, but essentially you have to throw away the useless insert it comes with and just have a bunch of baggies in the box.
Looks very interesting, and at a reasonable price too. I hope Phalanx listens to your feedback! I think the 'euroness' and the theme will make this appeal to my non-wargamer friends. Side note - your last few videos (including this one) have had some intermittent flickering. Not sure if it is your lighting or your camera.

At least say at what timestamp you see the flickering so they can check it!
As for a euroish wargamish game it is cool. Also streamlined to single digits. But would be great if played in 60-70min
