I reminds me how it worked at Woodstock festival in Poland. At some point they invested in large dump sites near camp areas. Most of people had their bags and even installed some temporary bags near their camps for others, everything was then taken to the nearest site and most of trash went there. They did not have to ask people for that and train anyone, it was enough to make it convenient. Before that there was basically no place to dispose of a big bag of trash, you had to take it into your car (or backpack if you went there by train/hitchhike) and throw it out wherever possible. Most bins were small and made for little trash, not a few bags after a week of camping in a big group. People just did not know what to do with it and quite often left the bag on the camp site for someone to take it during cleanup but quite often some animals broke it and everything had to be picked up again. When they introduced those larger dumping sites, people simply gathered their trash and while leaving the camp, they were leaving those bags in marked areas. You could quite often see a car driving out with someone holding big bag through the window or trucks stopping by this area to unload bunch of bags. Some people even helped each other and just took bagged trash from neighbors when leaving the camp site. And the only thing really needed was to make it more convenient. Most of people don't want to make mess around, they simply don't know what else they can do. In a college I was going out on the riverside to have some campfire and party. We always had bunch of big bags and we also cleaned some of the surrounding area. It was always cleaner when we left than when we came. And yet a few people were fined because leaving big bag of trash near the garbage can was illegal. When you pick up trash, bag it and leave it near the trash can (which is usually too small to put the bag in), you may be fined. A lot of people stopped doing this just because of the law.
It is wonderful to see the beaches free of litter, but I can't help thinking what is missing by using the machines is the Seashells which is such a great part of going to the beach to see what you can find and such joy for the children.
maybe each time they would have to empty the trash in the machines, they could bring a person to pick the sea shells from the trash or vice versa? extra work but could be worth it.
@@gumballsbrotheriforgothisn5263 I must admit though, people have been collecting shells for years, and it is sad to see crustaceans trying to squeeze their bodies into tin cans and plastic bottles lying on the sea floor.
The machine that suppose to clean sand from oil spillage they just move the contaminated sand into a different area but spilled oil still remained in the water beside they burned how much fuel ? and pollute how long in that "cleaning" process.. i would love to see the people responsible for oil spillage in the sea to take a bath in the area of the beach where they try to clean it..
Um there making were people can get there feet wet without any rocks not cleaning garbage or anything its a wast of time gas co2 and money. And most of that was in California just pay the tweekers 20$ for every 5 gallon bucket full thats definitely faster then any machine we can build it would be cleaning in a week not months lol
very Nice all of these machines are needed to be sent everywhere and with such strict stringent cleanliness hygiene regulations instant taesr and lock up without bail to the ones creating filth grime and not paying attention where garbage should go or the ones keeps areas filthy cut their water electricity and phone utilities till they do not come to their senses of good clean habits.
Thanks million for doing such a wonderful job, there should be restrictions for people to use the beach again after such a beautiful cleaning, they need to clean the area then left.
So what do you do with the waste sand? How do you clean it? I think this an awesome plan. Not meaning to be critical in any way. But I would like to know, just was is the procedure?
So many things cleaned off those beaches that easily could be recycled into different industries and used. Especially the oil soaked sand, sea weed, rocks and plastics.
No, that's what our taxpayer dollars are supposed to be paying for, except the bleeding heart Communist are fine with these drug Infested derelicts living rent free on California's most expensive ocean view properties. "ONLY IN AMERICA"
in Brasil beaches we need something like that, but I'm sure you'll find a lot of handbag buried in sand... robbers buried handbags, and late nite he's dig up your spoils...
The problem with this is the machines sifting trough the sand removes seashells, rocks and human garbage equally, and only the human garbage should be removed. It's kind of OK to do this on a beach with lots of new human garbage every day, but when the garbage to rock/seashell ratio becomes lower it is better to stop sifting the beach
The problem I see is all these machinery are gasoline (possibly diesel) which I'd rather not have those fumes while trying to relax at the beach and pose a risk if it were to start leaking oil, antifreeze or even gasoline as anything fuel powered that'll eventually happen.
When I was young and living in NYC, it occurred to me that I never get to a beach. So I wanted to visit Coney Island for the first time. Seems like it took hours by subway to get there. It was a nice hot beach day! I was looking forward to feeling my feet in the sand. Took my first step into the sand and badly gashed by foot on a broken glass shard. Well, that ruined that day, and was the last and only time I saw Coney Island!

It makes no sense why people throw garbage out in the streets and especially on our beautiful beaches for it to get in the water and can kill marine life if injested or nets get wrapped around some of them . We have enough of prisoners sitting in jail that our streets should be spotless, make them.b get out and pick up trash to pay for their stupidity. Then you better head off to India and China and stop them from dumping millions of tonnes of rubbish each day directly into the ocean off piers.

Beach grooming is one of the most feared jobs in the military.
Because they are hated for ruining such beautiful beaches!!!!! They are land destroyers, for which they are rightfully loathed!!!!!
If I didn't clean my cat's litter box every day, I would need one of these machines.
The rake, pick up and collect machines seem most effective. They REMOVE trash in one pass, albeit some rocks inevitably will be in the pile.

Cool they clean but also the reason you don't find big cool sea shells and other artifacts anymore
Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.

Yeah they should do it with monster trucks bigger and faster
sand is very heavy so its a weight vs horsepower problem
@@toolittletoolate1900 I would pay to see that. Like making a giant monstrosity with a ship diesel engine or something. That would be so cool.
Why do you have to go faster?

These machines are awesome 👍
A number of these - are they really even cleaning up the beach? Or are they just smoothing out the sand?
wow.. i like..
It's the people that define the beaches.

These machines are good but they taking away seashells and pulling up beach vegetation which helps with beach erosion. People need to stop littering.
I’m sure if we put up a sign then people would stop littering. Simple…..right.

the fact that these machines have to be made is really sad
Yeah and super sad we cant even drink water straight from rivers any more. Boohoo!
It's nice having yourself buried in sand knowing there is no rocks
No footprints but still leaves tire tracks, what's the point
