We are for now, few months at least, got loads of vid built up on SD cards as the Computer broke down weeks ago. More up soon, thanks for watching mate
@@brothersgoldminingprospect1678 I look forward to your videos. I'm a claim owner myself in the States and a small operation I guess you could say. My son Jr and myself, but mostly me. Save a nugget for me, a little insperation...😎✌️
@@aumetalmental8403 Thanks mate, means a lot! That.s awesome, a small n humble operation is the place to be. Seen big operations come n go! Ill save a few for ya mate!
Nah it's honestly awesome seeing what you guys have made for yourselves, the rewards you reap and the challenges you face and over come to still be there doing what you want to do, what you love.. However frustrating it might get some times lol
Hey guys.....how did the big fires affect you all? Were they close to home or to your mine areas......sure feel sorry for the peoples......Good luck, mates.... Bill
Gday, thanks for asking, we are lucky enough to work in area's that burn (Grass/brush fire's) almost every year, so no big bush fire's up here, but a few thousand km down south of me is a different matter, Its just tragic, got family and friends down there so keeping an eye out, but seems to be calming down now!? Cheers
When moved, will take a scrape with loader and wash it through the hibanker, always a little gold will dribble off the main drum, and all rock that comes out is detected a few times a day, we do our best to have as little as possible losses, adjustments can be made on the fly and we even re run tailing's to check at random intervals, we put good money into digging it up, so it would not pay to foof it away to easy, so yep.
Hi. How do you deal with your tailings. Are there regulations on your tailings waste? Below a certain size you dont need a tailings dam. Do you have a small dam to catch your water and then re use the water. Nice gold, but is that 250 tonnes of silt into the river?
Gday, there is a tailing's dam down the hill, from the sluice, I have 3 settling ponds after that and its all recycled till evap winds us down in the dry season. We run on rain water only. The silt in the river comment, says you know little of mining or whats involved, this is not some rouge operation looking for youtube likes! We are small but its still a proper mine mate, with all the Laws, enviro, Parks & wildlife, Health n BS up to date and all that planing approved by people who are payed to know this stuff! Its taken time and money to get this far! If we do the wrong thing we risk, Jail, huge fines, loosing everything we own, 2 families out of work, out of our home!! So NO Mate!! our silt does not go in to the river. The full operation is not shown on youtube and never will be, snippets is all thats shown! Thanks for watching.
Thanks for taking the opportunity to respond. No I dont know much about mining, is why I asked. The context was that I have been watching a lot of videos about Trommel wash plants in Africa, and they discharge hundreds of tonnes of silt into the river per day, and there are hundreds of illegal mines in just one country, and that is before you even start talking about mercury. Is good to know you have a series to tailing ponds. They were not in the video, so I was curious as to whether smaller scale miners in remote regions are not required to use them. Was not doubting you followed the regulations, just did not know what the regulations were Since I did not see one (from memory of couple days ago) , assume that a shaker table or rotary concentrator the sluice is sufficient for the needs. What do you need to get started as a worker in the industry, white card. HR licence, bobcat licence things like that
@@peterAustralia333 Sorry mate, had a tough week, did not mean to come across rude! There is loads of regulations and inspections, we have be be on the ball with those boofheads or is over. I am trying to set a good example of small scale mining in Australia?? The ground we are working has mostly coarse gold, so a simple sluice is perfect for the job (though mine vibrates as well). Just gota be keen as mustard and have as many skills as possible!! Some want life style and some want income, but few get both!
How did you get all the trackers in machines through all that water, I'm hooked on your videos, I want to pack up and drive around Australia looking for gold, but you got the best set up I have seen with great results
Thanks mate, late reply as mining hard, gota take the gear in in the dry season. Small scale can be done, but nothing is ever easy, still going and still winning!! Cheers
That always has me stumped ya know! Yard, Qube, Tonne? I should have listened to that boofhead math teacher when he was dribbling on about it! So I asked a fellow who would know and he told me I had a 1000kg bucket on the backhoe (Its stamped on the under side)lol bugger, (Error still does not compute) at least I know its a tonne each scoop, 90-100 scoops = 1oz. So if it sounds about right to you??
Nice haul there Bob, what was the total weight? The scales are hard to read in the clip. What do you do to occupy yourself during the wet season up there?
89.8 grams mate, Gopro likes to die at the best times! so a phone was used to get some shots at least. Go mad waiting to get back out there!! lol I help another small miner, prospect when I can and just chill doing big kid stuff with family and my Cockatoo. Thank for watching mate.
rain? this must be from last year B4 fires? if U'r SD cards are full of video, how bout a blooper, out-take? I've been beggin Lila Williams butt Jeff might be too funny for the History Channel... those rocks came out nice & clean! 3oz has to pay 4 fuel, food & treats. have fun, stay safe. Thanks!

Oh yea, we get all the good snakes and that big stupid killa bird! I have enough vid but I don't bloop much now days, trying to cut down. Run cost is around -8-10% from days take! Food n treats are on you, Ill bring the beer!! Awesome :)

If 99.99 % of your gold is chunky gold you have been loosing the fine gold or is there none, I'm shore you've done the checks ? so if there is no fine gold It must of washed away or those elves and gnomes stole it and you need a shotgun to fix that problem
We have done our checks and our losses are minimal, around 10% and 90% of that loss, is off the grizzly bars! Almost no fine gold in the dirt being mined at present! We may yet hit some? The dirt is from the nugget patch found during a Dam extension! can be seen in other vids, Gold Nuggets and Gold stars and Moving Pay dirt. When mining the creeks proper, then the fine gold should show up! New wash plant will show off in coming vids, keen to see if there is an improvement or not? Or if we can run more dirt!!!

Could you explain that waterfall method in your sluice box ?

do you ever move the trommel and sweep around it with a metal detector to see if the water coming out has any gold still in it
