- Bad Boys for Life is an upcoming American action comedy film directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Will Smith. It is a sequel to Bad Boys (1995) and Bad Boys II (2003) and the third and final installment in the Bad Boys franchise. The film stars Smith and Martin Lawrence reprising their roles as detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett.
A third Bad Boys film was discussed after the success of the second, with original director Michael Bay stating he would be interested in returning but budget constraints would make it difficult. The film went through several attempts at development over the next decade, with various writers and directors attached. Finally in October 2018 the project was officially announced, and filming took place from January through June 2019 in Atlanta and Miami.
Bad Boys for Life is scheduled to be theatrically released in the United States on January 17, 2020.

I'm very shocked you've never heard of the Bad Boys films! They were huge blockbusters in the 90s. I think this is a fun way to round out the trilogy.

It's pure late 90s action-comedy nostalgia. The first two were among Michael Bay's first big movies, they were HUGE in the states!

From what it looks like in this trailer, they kept true to the legacy. Bad Boys came out 25 years ago, and Bad Boys 2 came out 16 years ago. And in that time, they gained almost a cult-film status. The thing I like most about this trailer is the amount of throw-backs for the fans, as well as making it appealing to viewers who never saw the first 2 movies (like you). Btw, the crazy guy in the office is their captain since 25 years ago, and the Pepto-Bismol he's drinking (spoiler alert) is another throw-back to the times he tried using meditation to cope with the stress these 2 guys gave him.
Definitely check out the first 2. The first did come out in 1995. But alot of film have tried to copy the style and theme of the Bad Boys series.
I cant believe you haven't seen the Bad Boy films, or even heard of them!! Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are very funny in them both, good movies and will look forward to seeing this one too 👍😀

These movies set the bar back in the day, Fast & Furious, Ride Along, etc. borrowed heavily on this franchise
OK guys.. 2 things you can enjoy the movie WITHOUT watching the others but you won't get the innuendos in the trailer.
Mike (Smith) is protected about his car. there's the french fires incident in 1st. movie explains everything. Captain is swigging Pepto-Bismol, he was using yoga before because these guys before. Marcus(Martin) isn't there to calm down Captain. (Martin) has been talking about retiring since first movie.
Again check out 1st movie, it good, has Tea Leoni in it.
Pop you might get a chuckle from scene in 2nd BB movie when kid comes to take out his daughter, you can find it on youtube. One scene in trailer while Mike is watching is Marcus and most likely his daughter...
Again watch the 2 previous ones. You'll like them.
If you haven't by now, you gotta watch Bad Boys 1 & 2. The 1st was/is classic JERRY BRUCKEIMER action, great storyline etc. Martin was the bad boy of comedy at that time, both had hit tv sitcoms as well at the time. The 2nd was just AWESOME!!! Cant wait for this. LETS GET IT!!! #BadBoysForLife
I feel the same way as the Mom about Will Smith. Ironically, the only film I’ve even ever liked him in was the first Bad Boys way back in ‘95. That’s one of my favorite movies ever. I highly recommend the original.

The reason why your feeling a bit mediocre about it is because you got to watch the franchise 1 and 2 to get the feeling of part 3. Until Then you'll enjoy the laughter more. Trust me on this. You can't watch part 3 if you ain't seen the the others.
There has been a 17 year gap between the last BB movie. I think you would enjoy the 1st one it’s really good 👍🏾

This is a beloved American franchise. The whole chemistry between Smith and Lawrence is what makes the films work. And the pink bottle the captain was drinking was Pepto Bismol (antacid).

Here's the thing you're missing with their boss, it's a role reversal and meant to be satire; in American TV Cop shows, the stars were always White but the Chief of Police was alway a very angry and excitable Black Man.

To all bemoaning the reactions they gave - Surely it's better that they give their honest opinion rather than spout the popular opinion? Also if Nadia looks bored (as I've seen a few ppl comment) then perhaps that's bc - as she stated--she's not so keen on WS outside of TFPOB. I'd rather see her look bored than put on a facade. I recall watching the other BB films and they're OK comedic, easy watching movies. Although I'm sure it will do well since the franchise has a cult following and has retained its main characters/actors, I'm not sure if this one will appeal to the wider audience beyond as perhaps too much time has passed since BB/BB sequel.

Filming wrapped on this in early June 2019 so it has not been sitting on the shelf. It is currently getting ready to lock. The guy cursing is Captain Howard, played by Joe Pantaliano in all the Bad Boys entries. Thumbs down, Bad Boys means so much to me.

The Bad Boys movies were the Lethal Weapons of the the mid to late 1990s. Turn you brain off comedy action movies. People didn't think there would be a 3rd one because Will Smith became a big movie star and wanted to do more serious movies and Martin Lawrence had a career and personal downward spiral so people were not expecting another one to be made.
