    I know this is an older video, but I don't joke when I say I think this back to basics has salvaged my trading career. Things can get so complex so fast. Thank you, Mark.

    Excellent work as always. The methods described here, and what i consider A+, are the most consistent setups that you can bank on a daily basis.

    5:24 if the idea is to buy low and sell high, why would you sell when it's low?

    “Your success will not be because of how much you earn when you win, but how much you lose when you’re wrong”. You hear of these people who lose 200k? Mark will teach you how to avoid that.

    Yes double top and double bottoms work. Its.simply levels. When you see the first level resisting draw your zone aka box all.the way across.and around tje candle because when it retest its showing confirmation and confluence with the.last.level wait.for it to continue down past.the previous trend 2 or 3 candles up.or down get in same.witj double bottoms

    Really helpful to me as a beginner. I was wondering where to start. Regarding the pullback, are there any other key considerations? Does it have to be in the middle of important support and resistance? It wouldn't be a pullback if it was approaching a previous days high/low right?

    • @ukspreadbetting
      @ukspreadbetting  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This depends on what kind of trader you are. If you are swing trading and holding for weeks say, a daily timeframe would be suitable. If day trading, then an hourly chart would be more appropriate..etc

    One thing I'm confused about is the impact of the order book on the market direction. When I started trading, 6 months ago, I had assumed that the order book would be a good indicator. If lots of orders to buy, then the price would go up, and vice versa. I was very surprised to frequently observe opposite trends. I'm not entirely certain why this is the case, but I have simply come to understand th as the order book is a non-linear attribute. I'd very much like to see a discussion of this. Thanks.

    All around another great video. Of course, very simple ideas, but the devil is in the details. It takes a while to figure out the environments where these work, such as noticing the impact of volume.

    Grrr. This is the strategy that I'm trying to develop. However, I'm upside down. It's worked for me before and now I've lost my edge. Can't seem to get a single trade correct. I'm commenting because even though this is a working strategy. I'm struggling on finding what I'm doing wrong.

    Mean reversion is against the basic rule of trading
    " Never trade against the trend "
    Shorting in uptrend market is a losing trade in almost 80% times 😢

    *Worst strategy ever!* Especially telling that to n00bs.....a whole bunch of people are going to run to the markets trying to pick tops and bottoms. Responsible thing would be to take this video down tbh.

    • @markrolin7244
      @markrolin7244 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I suggest you watch it again. He is NOT picking a top or bottom. He is saying when market fails at a previous extreme here is a strategy to use for a retrace as the move MAY have finished. Note that he has a tight stop for when it doesn't work. Great risk management. Keep up the good work mark!
